Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Coloring: Under my name. Green eyes, s&p hair

Favorite Look: EYES: Tarte Unleashed Palette (Oh Deer in crease, Koalified on outer V and blended inward to darken crease, Irrelephant on lid, Hawkward on inner lid and corners), Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Desperation on outer third of lower lash line, Colourpop Precision Brow Colour in Cool Cocoa, Tarte Big Ego Mascara (the mini that came with the Unleashed palette). FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, Colourpop Blush Stix in More Is More. LIPS: Guerlain Rouge G in #06.

Most used products: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, Colourpop Blush Stix

Beauty Discovery: Blue eyeshadow looks good on me! When I bought CP’s Blue Moon palette, I wasn’t sure if I could actually pull off blue eyeshadow, but I put together a pretty look by using a warm brown shade in the crease, and blue on the lid. I have hooded eyes and my lids are small, so it was just a pop of blue. I got a lot of compliments. (I posted it in Color Stories.) I still haven’t been able to get a good look out of the Uh Huh Honey palette, but I’m working on it. Everything I’ve tried so far has made me look jaundiced.

Seraphine, That was exactly my concern when I saw the Uh Huh Honey palette, I envisioned it making me look like I was suffering from an illness. The colours are so pretty, I can wear those colours, but maybe just not on my face. I hope you have some luck with it.

I got it to work for me! I did a Color Story called Sunny Jewel Tones that shows the shades and explains how I used them together (along with a couple of shades from the Tarte Unleashed palette). It looks really nice…no jaundice!

UD Stash 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil lower lashline, and Spacedust inner corner lashline, black mascara, and liner for upper wing.

Hi, Genevieve! Thanks for asking. We had couple rough — and expensive — days, but things are back on track now. The clutch for our truck’s A C system seized, throwing debris into the system. We had to replace it all. On the way to the AC repair shop, the wheel one of our tires broke. By the time we got done with repairs, car rental, motel, etc. it cost us about $1700 – 1800. We were lucky to be in a city, though, and not stuck in the desert or mountains. The repair people were very nice and worked hard to get us on our way again ASAP. We saw the Loveland Natural History Museum and the local aquarium in Salt Lake City, so all was not lost.

The Dinosaur National Monument area is incredible. The geology is a really diverse and a beautiful history lesson. The DNM Visitors Center is built so that one wall is a partially excavated mountainside. It is so literally crammed with fossils one could look at it for a few hours and still not see them all.

Today we’re heading to Southeastern Utah, to Moab and Arches National Park. We’ll continue west through Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the Kodachrome Basin. Have a wonderful week!

Ha, ha! I just about facpalmed myself when I realized. My lighted mirror broke, and I meant to dig out my backup non-lighted mirror. The pharmacy screwed up a prescription I needed, which took way too much time on my part to sort out, and I totally forget. Luckily my eye palette had a decent-sized mirror, and I had my double-sided compact mirror in my purse for magnification.

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favoruite look from the week: I used my Huda Smokey Obessions palette a few times this week, with the Rose Gold shade all over the lid, with the taupe skimmer ( #3) on the lower lid, and a touch of #8, a lighter medium taupe matte in the crease. I paired it with Colour Pop’s Brick lipstick.

Your most used product this week: All my staples.

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): None really this week.

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look from the week: Australian Gold tinted facial sunscreen set with a light dusting of Clarins Sunset Glow bronzer; Becca Foxglove blush, MAC Pleasant Patent Polish lipstick/gloss (not sure which it actually is); UD’s Beached e/s palette (Salt and Blaze on inner and outer lid), MAC Wedge in crease and Sephora Cappuccino liner
Your most used product this week: The Australian Gold sunscreen and Guerlain Champs Elysees lipstick (and oldie but still in great shape)
Any beauty discoveries… just how nicely that Clarins bronzer works as a setting powder for summer – gives a nice bit of healthy colour to my face and sets my sunscreen (which I use in place of a foundation or CC cream) so well while adding a bit more coverage as well.

Marielle: the AG tinted mineral sunscreen is the Botanical spf 50 one, right? Mineral/physical is a must for me; want to add the AG to the arsenal and compare. OMG does AG have a metric ton of product on Amazon! Thanks in advance.

Mariella Avatar

Yes – I think that’s the only tinted one they make (the “branches” on the tube are turquoise). I also use the untinted one on my arms, legs, chest, etc. Amazing products, both.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair but very warm, hazel eyes with platinum blond hair.

Favorite look from the week: Keeping it simple with a lot of SPF in this hot and humid monsoon weather. Missha’s M Perfect Cover BB Cream 42 spf +++ over Milani Prime & Protect Primer 30 spf. Going monochromatic using Cle de Peau’s cream blush in Fig as blush, eyeshadow, and lippy.

Your most used product this week: The Cdp cream blush & Missha BB cream.

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Found Catrice’s Eyeshadow Stix at our local ‘departmental’ shop (I live beyond the arse end of nowhere in the Himalayas so finding any makeup here is RARE.) Bought 3 shades and am quite impressed with the ease of application and wear time (10 hrs) . They are slightly shimmery and very creamy setting to powder in about a minute – not stiff & waxy like Catrice’s now discontinued Stylo shadow crayons. Great paired with winged liner for a simple eye look that is quite elegant!
