Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair

Favorite Look: EYES: Anastasia Brow Wiz, Colourpop Fame Palette (Clubhouse in crease, Dazzle on lid, Piece of Me in outer V, Celeb on brow bone), Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer to tightline upper lid, Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara. FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Blurring Undereye Powder, RCMA No Color Powder, Clinique Blushing Blush in Cupid. LIPS: MAC Flat Out Fabulous (the LE mini in regular matte formula).

Most Used Products: Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Blurring Undereye Powder, RCMA No Color Powder, NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer.

Beauty Discoveries: YSL Rouge Volupte Oil-in-Stick (which I bought a few days ago) might be one of my all-time favorite lipstick formulas. I have similar shades to the one I bought, but because of the formula, it’s definitely worth the money.

Skin tone: Under my name.
Favorite look this week: It would be my colourful adaptation of Tammy’s gorgeous rainbow eye look. I didn’t have the same shades as Tammy and no where near her eye lid space but it was fun to play with brighter shades and many at the same time on my little lid. My only con was that I wasn’t sure what to use to blend it all out together. In any event, it has resulted in my purchasing the Coy palette, or I will this week. My base was my usual for recently, Smashbox Primerizer, Becca Backlight Priming Filter, Armani Luminous Silk foundation and concealer, Huda powder and Guerlain Meteorites with MAC FIX +. For the e/s I used the Emme Cosmetics Flower Garden palette, (I keep calling it Spring Garden and have done it so many times I can’t remember which it is!). I used all four of the matte shades in the palette. I started with the golden yellow and applied that to the inner 1/4 of my mobile and up into and slightly above the crease. I then added the peach shade, the purple shade and the green shade blending all together and up above the crease. Then I took the similar shimmery shade and applied that over the matte but just over the mobile lid area. I used Tuscany over the yellow/gold, Cotton Candy over the peach shade, Wild Flower over the purple and Venice over the green. I used Amaranthine on the lower lash line. I used Chantecaille Save the Coral blush and for the lips Charlotte Tilbury PIllow Talk lip cheat and L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine in 918. I enjoyed the look a lot and received several compliments while grocery shopping and also a few what the “F” was she thinking kind of looks, too! As I have said before, small town, no one wears makeup except me and very conservative. I didn’t care though. Not wearing makeup for them!!
One thing to note about the Emme Cosmetics palette. I have only worn the shadows on the upper lid and this is my first time using on the lower lid. They traveled quite a lot and I had that deep teal/green down into my tear troughs, which are actually more like raging river beds, by the end of the night. I don’t know if that was from another product I used in my skin care or what but I wasn’t thrilled with that although I still love the palette, overall.

Most used product this week: Not a specific colour but I am back to my L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine lippies and still loving them. Can’t wait for the shade extension to hit the stores. They are just so comfortable to wear.

Beauty discoveries: Rather more like a beauty disaster. I was feeling particularly annoyed at my hyper-pigmentation on my upper cheek area on both sides. So, I decided to put a really tacky eye shadow primer down and let it sit while I did my eye makeup. Then I added concealer over the primer and then foundation and another dollop of concealer, tapped on some finishing powder, I mentioned my e/s migrating, well it migrated onto the hyper-pigmentation and stuck there like embossing powder an an embossing pad. So, when I took my makeup off that night and looked in the mirror there were these perfectly formed, pigmentation shaped teal/green lakes. I can only think that the people who complimented me on my makeup thought that I had done it purposefully. You know, avant garde makeup on the tops of my cheeks.
I have a little tiny area, about the size of a grain of rice, on my right eye lid that no amount or type of makeup sticks there. It is small enough that it isn’t readily noticeable but I know it is there and always feel like people must think I am crazy for putting e/s every where except in that little area. Well, that is exactly what happens with my hyper-pigmentation. No amount of makeup is going to stick there or if it does, it migrates off pretty quickly. Given the above disaster, what about glitter glue as a base?, LOL!!

Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look from the week: Stila Wheat on inner 2/3 of lid, MAC Burning Ambition on outer 1/2 and outer crease, Sephora Cappuccino liner and IT BBU concealer; IT Cosmetics “Love” blush from their “face disc” palette from years ago (which they seem to have re-released as I noticed it at Sephora and that’s what had me reaching for this); MAC Craving lipstick (what else is new?)
Your most used product this week: Stila’s Eyes Are the Window Spirit palette and NARS Stud eyeshadow; Australian Gold tinted facial sunscreen (that stuff IS gold – it’s so fantastic!)
Any beauty discoveries… the new Clarins bronzer (with a sort of blush and sort of highlighter in there with the bronzing shade) – swirled together, it is a lovely and subtle product to liven up my pale face a bit without worrying about looking alarmingly orange or “fake tanned”.

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favourite look from the week: Yesterday, using the Mariposa palette, I placed Money, an unusual pewter green shade, over the lid, with a soft touch of mushroom on the lower lid and then a fine layer of Rockstar in the crease. I blended them really well. My accompanying lipstick was EA’s Cranberry Cream.

Your most used product this week: All my staples, plus the Mariposa palette.

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Well, I really do need to have mirrors in my eye palettes! Applying eyeshadows without my glasses is tricky enough, but without mirrors it’s really hard. I had to use my blush mirror.

Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Favorite look from the week: Friday, the first one I was able to relax and enjoy after the tornadoes-my usual base products (minus contour-I usually skip it on long work days as a morning shortcut), Tarte Unstoppable blush, UD Savage from lashline to crease, UD Slowburn over Savage, Rouge Louboutin mascara, KVD Studded Kiss Creme Underage Red
Your most used product this week: The UD Electric palette-it really simplified my beauty routine after all that severe weather.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Makeup’s great for bringing a little sense of normalcy to a screwed-up situation.

Usual Electric disclaimer-the packaging advises against using Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban on the eye area because their red pigment has been deemed safe in Europe, but hasn’t been FDA-tested. Most people who don’t have sensitive eyes should be OK for normal lid use-I am-but I wouldn’t recommend tightlining with them.

Usual base products: Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin 10 Ivory concealer, Fenty Match Stix Amber, Fenty Pro Filt’r 110 foundation

Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes, oily skin

Favorite look from the week:
Old stand by. Wore MAC Soft Brown in the crease. Woodwinked on the lid. Shroom on inner corner. Wore MAC Costa Riche liner on top lashline. Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir macara. Chanel Soleil Tan bronzer. NARS Albatross highlighter. Lancome Miel Glace Blush. Loreal Fresh Wear Foundation. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. Bare Minerals Mineral Veil

Your most used product this week:
Chanel Soleil Tan bronzer. NARS Albatross highlighter. Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara. MAC Costa Rice eyeliner

Any beauty discoveries (new or old): NARS Albatross highlighter. I found it at TJ Maxx. No one talks about this highlighter anymore but it is truly stunning. Hope they aren’t discontinuing but given how long it takes to go through a NARS product I will have this until I’m dead lol
