Ciate Entwine, Gilded, Wicked Marbled Metals Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches
Entwine
Ciate Entwine Marbled Metals Metallic Glitter Eyeshadow ($24.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, golden beige with warm undertones and a sparkling finish that had a mix of pink and gold sparkle layered over a metallic finish. The texture was smooth to the touch with more of a cream-powder consistency that was denser in the pot, even though it did come with a plastic “stopper” to press the product into place (it wasn’t necessary for me). The product applied well with fingertips as well as brushes, and it did not need to be used with a wet brush for high-impact results. It had opaque pigmentation that applied well, blended out easily without fallout, and stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours.

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.14 oz. - $171.43 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "highly-blendable" with "full-metal coverage" that has "long-lasting, three-dimensional shine." They are recommended to be applied with "fingertips for effortless, one-swipe application." They're like a loosely-pressed powder eyeshadow in a glass jar with a plastic component that can be used to "press" the powder back into place, though none of mine seemed loose enough to need pressing.
They were intensely pigmented with a smooth, more cream-powder consistency that applied well with fingertips but also did nicely with eyeshadow brushes. I tried them wet as well, and it didn't make a difference--I'd say it stretched the pigment and made them go on ever-so-slightly smoother. They had great adherence with minimal to no fallout and lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

Gilded
Ciate Gilded Marbled Metals Metallic Glitter Eyeshadow ($24.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, darker copper with warm, red undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, more cream-powder consistency that was dense, slightly thicker, but surprisingly easy to work with. While the brand recommends using fingertips, I didn’t have any issues using the formula (or this shade) with brushes, so the product can be used either way–I prefer brushes if I can as it gives me greater precision. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin with good, even adhesion that lasted for almost nine hours on me. There was a smidgen of fallout when I initially applied the product but that didn’t continue over time.

Wicked
Ciate Wicked Marbled Metals Metallic Glitter Eyeshadow ($24.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark purple with warmer undertones and a mix of bluish-teal and green sparkle over a metallic finish. It was that mix of blue/green sparkle that contrasted against the warmer, purple base that made this a really standout hue. The texture was lightly creamy, denser without being overly thick. It had opaque pigmentation that applied well to bare skin and blended out easily without resulting in fallout. The color stayed on nicely for nine hours before fading a bit but didn’t show signs of fallout.

Oooooh that purple! It will be mine.
OMG, that rainbow eye rocks!
Ooh, I want all 3! Let me talk myself down off that ledge a little….I will get Wicked out this bunch, for now. That is one super intense deep purple shadow! ?
These are stunning! I love how multidimensional Wicked is. That’s going on the wish list, for sure.
These are completely beautiful and the way that all glittery/foiled shadeows should be. Love the shades and your eye look rocks Christine.
The dupes for the purple saved me1 I have Viseart Amethyst. So nice to see these performing so well! Excited to read about the others…
These remind me of the “multi-reflective” shades in Huda’s New Nude palette, in the format of Armani’s Eyes to Kill Intense and its successors.
Definitely reminded me more of the ETK!
They certainly look like those Hudas in the pot, but probably not so much in application.
LOOOOOOOK!!!! Wow!
Some good-looking eyeshadows … even if they ARE glittery. 🙂
Lol.. do an all matte and then just pop a bit with your finger on the high point of your mobile lid. It won’t look like a glittery mess.
Totally looks like Armani Eyes to Kill!
But cheaper and GA discontinued theirs 🙁
I have 3 dupes for the purple shade (says something about me, doesn’t it?). I have a question about these shadows generally, though. What are the white bits that look like little crystals of salt in all of these shadows? (but more noticeable in some shades than in others) Do they sort of “dissolve” and mix in with the base colour as you apply the shadow? They look sort of strange and interesting and yet the shadow swatches themselves seem so smooth and not like there are any chunks of glitter throughout them.
They aren’t coarse textured like salt or crystals – they are the same texture as the rest of the powder!
I figured they weren’t coarse or you’d have commented on the rough texture but what happens to them when you apply the product? Do they mix in? It sure looks like they mix and distribute themselves evenly but I’m trying to figure out how and why, I guess.
Yes, it just comes together on the brush – like there’s no mixing so much as just picked up the product and applying it! It’s not any different than other marbelized products – like MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes – that have two colors woven together!
Glad to see Ciate do well after the Jessica Rabbit palette being terrible.
Wow, these look lovely!
These are stunning and I can’t wait to try one… probably the first as I know it is a color I will definitely use regularly.
I grabbed Wicked and Gilded based on the swatches. I wasn’t disappointed when I got them yesterday. They pack a punch. Have fun removing the micro glitter ?
Wicked is my fav of the two, better colour for me. But I plan on pairing Gilded with PMG Bronze Seduction palette.
Phoenix is also really cool if you dig Wicked!!
Is that the green? I’m usually not a green person, but I might be able to swing that one as a spot highlight. I think it would look pretty kick a$$.
It’s the warm reddish shade, but it has green-gold-pink shimmer/sparkle!
When I can get the same thing from Colourpop for 1/4 of the price… It is an easy pass for me.
Entwine looks like what I wanted Australis Guns and Roses to look like. Definitely getting that and the purple, for sure. These are so up my alley. I will have to restrain myself to just a couple.
I’ve got no dupe for Wicked, so I think it will be mine.
Says something about me as a Lord of the Rings geek that I first read Entwine as “Ent Wine.”
X-D Now there’s a name for an eyeshadow . . . these are gorgeous, especially Wicked.
Will be purchasing Wicked, my favourite shade of the set.
