Tone: Yellow-neutral medium, MAC Pro Longwear N37 & YSL Touch Eclat BD60
Favorite look: A dramatic near monochromatic eye look, as I’m trying hard to work with PM’s Mothership Subliminal palette; wet Blitz Blue on the lid with Kiko Sparkling Holiday eyeshadow in All of Blue 04 (a very close dupe of Blitz Blue that I wanted to test) above it and VR Violet as a halo around the two (on brow). Finished with Xtreme Black under the lower lid as a liner, but only under the lid (no top liner). I don’t know why, but the one-lid liner is attractive to me more and more. Cheeks highlighted with Huda Winter Solstice Highlighter palette using Arctic Glow and blushes Surratt Beauty Duchess & NARS Angelika. Lips in YSL Tatouage Couture The Mettalics in 104 (taupe rose color) topped with Guerlain Terracotta Kiss Delight gloss in Peach Syrup.
Most used for the week: Pat McGrath Mothership I Subliminal palette (I’ve got to figure it out, can’t let it beat me. 😉 )
Discoveries (old & new): As I put away the new Sydney Grace acquisitions, I rediscovered my Coloured Raine & Makeup Geek singles (that complement the new SG singles) and of course finally tested some of the SG’s. What beauties! Especially, The Greatest Gift (so far); Makeup Geek’s Blacklight & Plot Twist also blew me away with their glow!
Skin Tone/Coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair
Favorite Look: • EYES: Bare Minerals Bare Sensuals Eyeshadow Palette (Lure in crease, Persuasion on lid, Mystify on outer V, Hard to Get on browbone), Chanel Stylo Yeux Eye Pencil in Charme in upper lash line, Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara, Diorshow Brow Styler, Clinique Brow Shaper. • FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Dior Rouge Blush in Hologlam. • LIPS: MAC Lip Pencil in Soar, Guerlain KissKiss in Rosy Boop
Most Used Products: Other than my usuals, I’ve been using Guerlain KissKiss in Rosy Boop with MAC Lip Pencil in Soar a lot.
Beauty Discoveries: Nothing this week
Your skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look from the week: nothing too special, to be honest – concealer, Dior blush, Sephora Cappuccino pencil liner and Marc Jacobs skinny liner to tightline, MAC Sweet Satisfaction eyeshadow (remember THOSE???) and MAC Craving lipstick (I’m trying to finish one where I’ve done the lippie equivalent of hitting pan – I need a lipstick brush to apply but I stuck a needle into the plastic bullet base to see how deep it went and those things do go DEEP!)
Your most used product this week: Embryolisse face cream; Dior Rosy Glow blush
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Sweet Satisfaction Pro Longwear shadow; I’ve not used it in ages but all of those first releases of the Pro Longwear shadows were SO wonderful and Sweet Satisfaction is such a lovely, easy product for a quick “not too much makeup” look/one and done shade.
Light skin( Bb sand) green eyes, dark brown hair
Favorite look- Today, I used It cosmetics bye bye undereye in med, KA brow pencil in brunette, Chantecaille faux cils mascara, Mac orb on lid, a Suqqu quad icy white on inner corners, bluish gray as thick upper liner, BB fresh melon pot rouge and a little BB sand foundation stick as spot concealer. Givenchy loose powder. Kevin sculpting powder under chin and jaw line and lipbalm.
This week, getting over a bad cold my most used item was lipbalm and aquaphor followed by concealer .
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look from the week: Definitely Christmas Day. Used the Sultry Palette with Steampunk on the lids,
with Teak on the lower lid and a smidgeon of Twig in the crease. I paired it with Colour Pop’s Brown Sugar lipstick of Brick. I was wearing a black top (and pants) with a copper/gold print.
Your most used product this week: Considering it has been so, so hot this week – sunscreen and stapes.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): That I really like the A’kin Night Moisturising Cream. Very good for the price.
Between the ColourPop and Sydney Grace shadows, I’m going to be in trouble this year. lol
???? ???? ????/????????: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
???????? ???? ???? ??? ????: I was home most of the week and very busy, so most days I wore no makeup. I was too tired. The one day I went out on errands, and Christmas day was very minimal and neutral, using Huda The New Nude Palette on my eyes and MAC Creme Cup on my lips.
???? ???? ???? ??????? ???? ????: Pacifica Coconut Probiotic Water Rehab Cream; lip balms
??? ?????? ??????????? (??? ?? ???): Huda The New Nude Palette — I am completely in love with the mattes. OMG, they blend like butter! I think it will supplant UD Naked 3 as my go-to rosy nude eye palette.
I rediscovered MAC Creme Cup Lipstick. It’s not usually a color I go for, but the last few weeks, when I felt the need for a really light nude, I was reaching for it. It’s much more flattering on me than a pale beige, and it goes really well with all the pink-based nude palettes I have, especially when I wear want to wear a stronger blush.
Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes
Favorite look from the week: I was inspired by Emily Fox to do a pink in the crease. I used my daughter’s BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil palette and put a mid tone in the crease. Patted MAC Angelic pressed pigment on the eyelid. Wore Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara in Rich Pitch Black on my top lashes. Used Natasha Denona Blush and Glow Mini in Golden Coral and #1 Light Highlight for blush/highlighter. Wore an old Loreal pink lip gloss
Your most used product this week: Natasha Denona Blush and Glow Mini. Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara. Also pulled out and used Chanel Bronzer Soleil Tan a bit too!
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): I got the HUDA Emerald Obsessions palette. Really disappointed w the mint green shade. It has been so difficult to work with. But the metallics are pretty!
