Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

My favourites from this year contain a lot of shadows that are similar to yours, Christine, including a few I learned about here.

MAC Mega Metal Shadows (especially Centre Stage)
MAC Semi Precious Golden Gaze
MAC Pro Longwear (so glad they are permanent)
Benefit Creaseless Cream in Birthday Suit
Chanel Illusion d’ombre in Illusoire
Stila La Douce and Diamond Lil
Bare Escentuals Urban Nature (would never have known of this had it not been for your site, Christine)

I definitely loved MAC Mega Metal Shadows, Pro Longwear Eye Shadows (especially in the shade Sweet Satisfaction) and the neutral shadows from the MAC Me Over collection.

Armani Eyes to Kill and Chanel Illusion d’Ombre!! I have one of each (they’re too expensive for me to collect quickly). And all the long wearing pencil shadows (like UD’s). And my discover of Pixy Epoxy, which isn’t a shadow *but* has blinged out the balls on my other shadows, thus making them new and exciting all over again. 😀

I think I need to put UD Strip on my wishlist, it’s so pretty, but not in any of the palettes I have!

And wow, that Sugarpill Stella looks absolutely identical to Fyrrinae’s Immortality (in real life, not based on their online photos, which look browner than it really is). I saw the photo here and was wondering “Wait, I didn’t think she’d ever reviewed Fyrrinae stuff?” before I read the names, LOL!

I have both Stella and Immortality. Though they both look similar, the textures are not the same and neither is the application. I tried Pixie Epoxy on both. It is ironic that Stella works better with the pixie epoxy than Immortality does. Frankly, all the Sugar Pill Chromalusts works well with the pixie epoxy

Love both of the MAC collections you mentioned – bought two from each and adore them. Also, bought an Hourglass duo on your recommendation this year and adore it! Never have I had a shadow so buttery and wonderful!

I love Kat Von D’s palettes, particularly the Saint palette. Personally, that was my best eyeshadow of 2011. Nonetheless this is a great list, and I’ll be sure to check out some of these products!
