Dior Precious Rocks Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Review, Photos, Swatches
Precious Rocks (001)
Dior Precious Rocks (001) Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer ($57.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a soft, peachy beige with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, but the consistency was incredibly smooth, velvety, and finely-milled, so it was easy to sheer out if desired. The powder sat well on the skin and yielded a smooth, luminous sheen–somewhere between subtle and moderate in terms of reflectiveness. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading slightly.

Well, it’s a warm peachy beige, so I’m out. Good, saves me money. Bad, I wish they’d also brought out a cool ‘pinky’ beige. I absolutely love Dior powders. They sure know how to make them, that’s for sure. Seems like they churn them out, one after the next. I’m assuming this is a finishing powder since it’s got beige in it. Is that right, Christine?
I have it. It’s more luminous than a finishing powder like the Hourglass ALP. I would call it a soft but buildable highlight for slightly tan to light/fair skin tones. It can be built up, but its initial application is more subtle than I was expecting. It’s not a gelee powder like Dior’s permanent highlighters, so it lacks that boom factor, but not everybody wants that, so I think this is actually not a bad product for them to release; it’s just a little odd that this is what they did for the holiday season.
From what you said, this sounds like the now discontinued Burberry highlighter, which I love. It’s definitely day-wearable. I also have a now discontinued Dior Nude that sounds very similar as well. Maybe that’s why Dior brought it out now — see if it sells and then make it permanent next year. There are lots of people who want a subtle highlighter in their stash, me included. And, Dior used to offer them. Anyway, thanks for the info.
I saw this on Sabrina’s (of TheBeautyLookBook) blog and she said the same, that it’s super smooth. And it looks SO pretty! I’m 38 now, so my preference is not typically for the “shine from outer-space” look (except perhaps for special occasions). This looks like the perfect amount of every day glow. Very tempting!
Gorgeous shade and a great rating: but OK brands, that’s enough highlighters now.
Lovely, subtle highlighting effect! All too often these types are the ones I return to again and again within my stash. As a result, LM Matte Radiance Highlight 01 and Fenty Metal Moon Highlighter get used a lot. I’m now considering this one, too.
Me too. I prefer the subtle look and prefer one that is easy to blend.
Solo pretty.
These highlighters are something Dior does so well (when stacked up against stuff like the blush you reviewed just after this product, Christine). I’m always surprised that Dior can make some things so very, very well and then get others – most of their eyeshadow quads and 5-pans – so very wrong! And they are at the higher end of the market, price-wise so $50 or more for a sub-par blush or $75 for an eyeshadow 5-pan is pretty inexcusable. For anyone wanting to venture into the world of Dior blush, their “one colour fits all” (not sure if this is actually true) Rosy Glow blush is pricey but actually worth the money.
That’s why I feel like the sheerness must be intentional… but the texture issues leave me baffled.
That’s a winner! I wish it was a little cheaper!
Hello, Is the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer in Precious Rocks 001 similar to the Hourglass Euphoric Strobe Light Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder and/or the Hourglass Luminous Light Ambient Lighting Powder?
Hi Annie!

And definitely not like Luminous Light!
Thank you very much!
