MAC Crystal Pink Mineralize Skinfinish
MAC Semi-Precious: Crystal Pink Mineralize Skinfinish
MAC Feeling Flush Mineralize Skinfinish ($28.00 for 0.22 oz.) is described as a “pink champagne base with inner circle of pink, mid-tone green, and bronze.” When I swirled the center splotch together, I ended up with a muted, slightly rosy tan with subtle gold shimmer. The outer edge is a pinked champagne. On my skin tone (NC25/NC30), it’s mostly sheen, but it does lighten a bit. It’s a cooler-toned highlight, which makes it interesting, since a lot of highlighters can be warmer. Still really bummed (and a little puzzled) over the major reduction in product here–past MSFs have been 0.33 oz., while this is only 0.22 oz.
It’s not glittery like Rose Quartz, but the sheen on this one is quite pronounced, so I would recommend using a light hand–I actually applied this using the 131, and it was still quite glowy when stippled on. I do like that it is smooth, though, so it doesn’t emphasize skin imperfections as much as some mineralize skinfinishes do. Pigmentation is as expected based on the softness of the overall color in the pan.
The outer layer is a lighter, rosier version of MAC By Candlelight but probably not as pink as Porcelain Pink. The swirled result is like a rosy version of Belightful.

it looks so gorgeous!
Just got all the brushes and all the msf and blushes online! And one lipstick! So excited!!!
Wanted to wait to see the eyehadows in the store…:)
It’s online already??
If you’re a pro member!
that center circle has got to be the ugliest thing i’ve ever seen. it looks like a scabbed over wart with a little vomit thrown in for good measure.
it really doesn’t
Agreed, I think they are nice blushes but to me they all look disgusting in the pot.
Ahhh, Christine, you look so adorable in this pic! It is surprising that they would throw green in the middle of this MSF, but it’s good to know that it swirls together to create a pretty shade. Maybe the green is meant to minimize redness?
what the heck is the green about in the middle.
Green counter acts the pink but it is a rather odd thing to see used in a nude pink highlight shade.
I love MAC blushes in the pan… usually. But this looks like ABC gum. Or a turd. Yuck, MAC!
the green totally looks like mold. it’s weird
Wow… the highlight is so cute. It’s a bit too shiny though… I think but definitely will check it out once when it’s available!
I wanted to stay on my no -buy but I HAVE to get this. I will probaly be perfect on my fair skintone. I have By Candlelight but it’s more of a bronzer on me. …. I’m a sucker for MSF’s.
Reminds me of the MSF “By candlelight” that came out before. maybe a dupe?? Do you have both and could make a comparison?
The look of these MSFs is really not all that pretty. :/ I think they would look aesthetically more appealing with one half marbled and the other half in one colour than these splotches in the center – or then fully marbled.
btw, Dear MAC, I’m still waiting for a really_cool toned pink-rose-silver MSF. 😀
Hi Christine!
I was wondering by when would you make comparisons with pictures?
I would really like to see how Crystal Pink looks next to By Candlelight in actual photos
Like everybody else, I truly appreciate your dedication and there isn’t one day that i do not check out your website!
Only purchasing things that take my breath away — like Jealousy Wakes. It has to be really different in order to call to me. Will be passing on the whole collection.
Pretty, but my huge pores don’t like shimmer. 🙁
So meh. The only thing i like so far is the burgundy msf e/s. Mac has really been disappointing lately. Thx for ur reviews christine!!
Christine, how early is this sample? Just saw crystal pink at a pro store and the inner circle looks much different–warmer pink, less of the green (more like slate), also less orange, plus there’s a silvery tinge. I’m sure there are variances because it’s marbelized, but I had a look at two of this shade and they are much more beautiful in the pan. It also swatched as a clearer pink (less bronze) than what I’m seeing here but maybe it’s my monitor.
I just received it. There can be quite a bit of variation in the way they’re produced, though. I’ve seen shades missing entire veins of color in the past!
Christine, how similar would you say this is when compared to say, Dior’s Amber Diamond Highlighter?
Not at all – Amber Diamond is a lot warmer, more of a golden bronze color 🙂
Yeah, so I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to get anything from this collection. But now, I’m pretty sold on this. Thanks a lot, Christine. lmao. 🙂
out of all of the skinfinishes, which ones have a more sheer satin finish and r not shimmery?
hey 🙂
do you think this will be ahy for nc44 skin?
im really looking for a good highlighter for that “glow”. which one from this collection do you think will look good, if not crystal pink?
thanks! love this site by the way:) xxx
Wonderfull!
I love it! and I want it! <3
