MAC Semi-Precious: Warmth of Coral Mineralize Blush

MAC Warmth of Coral Mineralize Blush ($23.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “melange of coral and peach.” It’s more coral, peach, and orange to me–to stretch it, maybe a darkened peach? When mixed (not that you can really separate out veins in this blush), it’s a warm, medium peach-orange. I did notice that it doesn’t show up very well on my NC25/NC30 complexion; it blends out very easily and ends up looking so subtle that I wasn’t even sure I was wearing it.

The powder is very finely-milled with a silky smooth feel that works beautifully with the skin, because it sits naturally and the soft, satiny sheen allows for a subtle reflection of light without it being shimmery.  As previously mentioned, the wear time of mineralize blushes is below average from my testing–around six hours–while average is eight hours.

MAC Utterly Game is softer and has a powdery look to it in comparison. It seems a little more on the peach side than Illamasqua Lover. There is a subtle difference in depth as compared to My Highland Honey.

I think it looks really pretty though. I wasn’t big on the eye shadows. But I’m liking this, looks great on you for a very soft look.

I’m NC 15, but I have cool undertones. Will this be way too warm on me? It’s gorgeous, but I don’t want anything that won’t be flattering.

ok MAC has really nice lipsticks, some nice eyeshadows but their blushes are horrible for high end. why would anyone buy this ugly blush that doesnt even last long on ur face and is powdery when u could buy a nars blush or tarte amazonian clay blush which almost the same price but sooo much higher in quality and lasting power. im so over mac these days. wayyy too over hyped

Aw, I wish I didn’t agree with this as much as I do. The saleswoman looked me in the eye and tried to tell me the Quite Cute blushes weren’t chalky when I had them swatched right on my arm and there was powdery fall-out everywhere..haha! These blushes are all so pretty in the pan but I don’t want to fork over that kind of money for something that only looks good sitting on my vanity.

I’m contemplating on whether to get this blush or Melba.. I know that Melba is matte but how would you compare the color Christine?

I actually love fool-proof blushes that have to be layered to show… otherwise I wind up with clown face. I got no skills! Christine, you say this doesn’t show up on you but I think for an apricot color it looks gorgeous and natural on you! Did you have to put a ridiculous amount on your cheeks?

this looks amazing on you like i said before but i think i’ll skip it because i would have to apply alot to show up im nc 40 right now and i have my highland honey and its amazing

I’m really debating this one. Do you think it would show up too orangy on my NC 25/30 skin? I really want it to work on me because I absolutely love peach blushes

Jennifer Avatar

I have been waiting for this one. I am the same skin tone as you to the T and now I know not to get it and waste my money after your review. My wallet thanks you.

What a beautiful blush! And it looks so pretty on you. Thank you so much for the effort put into this website! It’s so helpful to me and to many other people as well.

I already have Utterly Game, which I love. Do you think I could skip this? I’m thinking about getting Feeling Flush instead. I’m NC20. Do you think I could pull it off?

Darn I really wanted this but it doesn’t seem like something I need. I was hoping it would be a slight more coral than peach… I mean it is called warmth of coral. Oh well not like I need anymore makeup at the moment. Granted I will change my mind when I do see something worth the money.

I LOVE peach blushes, but this looks kind of similar to the Blush Ombre in Ripe Peach. I was excited, but maybe now I’ll pass….

I am 115 in MUFE HD, I have Utterly Game and love it. I dont want to ask if I will like it, because I know I will. Hmm. Will it disappear on me, too?

Hey, Christine of all the three mineralized blushes in this collection, which one do you think is WOC friendly?

Thanks

Hi, I just recently started using makeup and am kinda overwhelmed with the number of different shades… Can someone pls help and tell me the difference between coral, peach and apricot? Thanks!

I’m an NW15/20, do you think it will look good on me? I feel that it will look a little bit too orange..? I also want to buy the 128 brush. Is it worth purcasing? And do you think it will work for applying cremeblush on the synthetic side, and then set with powder using the natural hairs? Love your blog btw!

I just got the warm of coral blush and it looks very light on my Nc 40-42 skin color but I decided to spray my brush with some water and try it on wet and love the end result !!! It looks so natural and creamy u should try it wet and it may change ur mind 🙂

i bought this blush when it first came out and i LOVE it. it is still to this day my all time favorite blush! i’m an NC40 and it shows up on me perfectly, isn’t chalky, and glides so smoothly on my skin. i wish it worked for everyone else like it does for me..
i’m so sad that it’s limited edition but i can tell it’s still gonna last me a very long time.
i would seriously pay extra for this blush on ebay or amazon to get a backup because i love it so much..
i hope i don’t sound crazy haha

thank you for listing some dupes too 🙂
