Urban Decay Naked Heat Vice Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Fuel
Urban Decay Fuel Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark peach with warm undertones and a creamy finish paired with a light sheen. It had nearly opaque color coverage that applied evenly, though there was a touch of color that gathered in my deeper lip lines. The lipstick was lightweight, creamy without being too slippery, and felt moisturizing over time. This shade wore well for four and a half hours on me.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.11 oz.) is available in six finishes, which are primarily distinguished by level of sheen, shimmer content, and coverage. I didn't notice any scent or taste. Mega Mattes are the thinnest and have the most “cling” as they are drier and more matte (but most are semi-matte and not a totally flat matte) and can be drying, though they are longer-wearing.
Comfort Mattes are creamier, a little denser, with richer color payoff on average (they are the most pigmented out of the finishes), and have a satin finish that is fairly comfortable to wear, usually lightly hydrating, and longer-wearing.
Creams are usually softer and creamier, though not too soft (they don’t mush or break from the base easily), with some being tackier and stiffer in the tube until they warm up against the lips; they have good color payoff, are hydrating, and are comfortable to wear but have more typical wear (four to six hours–six hours for deeper/richer shades like a red).
Sheers and Sheer Shimmers have a more balm-like consistency that feels a little thinner but is wetter/more emollient than Mega Mattes, so ultimately, they feel quite different applied; they have sheerer coverage, though more semi-sheer to semi-opaque than very sheer, and have the shortest wear time at two to fours with light hydration.
Metallized is the most shimmery of the finishes, though some of the other finishes have shades that are actually as shimmery (to me), but the Metallized formula has a thinner, more emollient base that isn’t as dense or as cream-like as the Creams; they feel more like the Sheers but a bit heavier and more pigmented (but seem to run semi-opaque to opaque, not always fully opaque) with average wear (four to five hours), light hydration.

Scorched
Urban Decay Scorched Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a dark, coppery brown with warm, red undertones and fine gold and copper pearl. It good pigmentation, which was buildable to full coverage with less than another pass. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy with moderate slip that glided on with ease but adhered well without feeling slippery. The lipstick wore well for five hours and was hydrating.

Heat
Urban Decay Heat Vice Lipstick ($17.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark red with warmer undertones and flecks of gold and red pearl and sparkle. The texture was slightly grittier in the tube, and I could always feel the texture of the sparkle whenever I pressed my lips together. If you’re not keen on the feel of glitter, I would skip this shade–I noticed it quite a bit while wearing it. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, and though I could build it up a bit, there was also a translucency to the finish. The color applied evenly and lasted for five hours, and it left behind a subtle stain. The formula was lightly hydrating.

Fuel is gorgeous, my kind of nude. Will purchase when available.
It is a lovely color!
Holy crap! I love all of these. Why are they LE’s?? ?
I know!! 🙁 So sad.
Uh oh, looks like I might be getting Scorched, don’t have a dupe for that. And Heat is beautiful, but I think MAC Fresh Moroccan is close enough. OMG, LOVE your eye look!!
Thank you, Katherine!
Scorched is pretty and perfect for summer and fall.
It is!
I was going to say how stunning heat is and how I want it. But I’ll have to go to the UD store, and try it on first!
Thanks for the warning Christine! 😀
No problem, Shannon! 🙂
Wow! I really like all 3! However, (because y’know there has got to be a “however! ?) Fuel *may* have some sister shades within my stash, MAC Reel Sexy and Shy Girl, although I saw neither listed as dupes, so I could be mistaken?
Also, for Heat I have UD Cruel, plus the un-glittery MAC Yoni Crush.
But Scorched, though! No dupes in my stash, I don’t think? Which is great, since I love this one!
They might be close enough for your liking, though I’m recalling that they are pinker.
I like Fuel, but I have at least four of the dupes. Though it is the type of colour I reach for a lot, and slight differences colour make a big difference – like Posh Tone looks pink on me whereas Hepburn Honey is peachy brown.
I’d probably have caved if it were a Comfort Matte, really love that formula.
I could totally see that justification, A. Some of those more muted shades do that on me!
Heat is pretty, pitty about the gritty texture. Surprisingly, for me, Scorched is my favourite.
I wish Heat had a little more thickness to hide the sparkle!
These are all very pretty but I will definitely be getting Fuel.Scorched is very nice and I have a Colourpop gloss that would look perfect in the center of a lip look with that?❣️
I hope you enjoy, Fuel!
Scorched is my favourite shade and I would’ve liked Heat, but not the gritty feel. Beautiful.
Yeah, I can see the grittiness of Heat bothering some!
I love these and they pair perfectly with the beautiful eye look you created
Thank you, Betty!
I want Heat. Scorched is close enough to Nyx Wrath that I’ll probably skip it.
I think that’s a good call! 🙂
Fuel is so nice -great to have nudes that are not too pale. I guess if it’s LE I will have to get it when it launches!
Let us know how you like it when you try it, J!
I’m glad these turned out nice. Heat is my favorite. I’m not sure it would look good on me but I really like it.
Scorched and Heat are FABULOUS!! Great all year round colours IMO.
when do the lipsticks and eyeliners come out? They are not a part of a presale today?
It looks like they only put up the palette for today!
Is Heat similar to UD Wrath color wise? I loved that wrath had sparkle to it but it did not have the grittier feeling on the lips and was not at all noticeable to me at least. Thanks Christine!
Please view the full dupe list – it’s already on there! We only show the first 10 dupes as many shades have over 30 dupes.
I bought the heat palette today and am hoping to love it. It certainly looks like something I’d love. I bought the Naked 3 and was horribly disappointed that none of the colors showed up on me. I’ve never been a big fan of UD shadows, but I love their lipsticks. I’ll definitely be grabbing heat and scorched.
Christine how fuel is different to ud insanity
You can compare any two shades I’ve swatched here: https://www.temptalia.com/swatch-gallery/#sbs
I got all three and they are amazing! Scorched is my favourite and I find myself using it the most. I agree with Heat feeling grittier when I first tried it on but it doesn’t bother me so much after awhile. 🙂
