Anastasia Amber, St. Tropez, Toffee Lip Glosses Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Amber
Anastasia Amber Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a medium, peachy brown with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly without streaking but a bit of color gathered in some of my deeper lip lines. The consistency felt smooth and spreadable with a light tackiness that helped it adhere well to the lips but still felt comfortable. This shade wore well for four and a half hours and was hydrating while worn.
P.S. — Sephora was showing 19 shades discounted to $8 last night (when I wrote the review).

Formula Overview
$16.00/0.16 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
It is supposed to be “opaque” with “high-shine” that’s “non-drying.” It is one of the more pigmented lipglosses out there that has a smoother, more cushion-y consistency that typically spreads well across the lips. Some shades gather in lip lines, and some shades apply streaky; it seems more common with lighter shades and milkier colors.
The formula is non-sticky initially and develops slight tackiness over time. My experience from wearing the formula is that they are often lightly to moderately hydrating and wear three to five hours. They have a vanilla scent that isn’t too overpowering nor does it linger once applied (I notice it mostly in the tube).

St. Tropez
Anastasia St. Tropez Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with subtle, cooler undertones and a ton of warm, gold shimmer. Depending on the lighting, it sometimes appeared warmer (due to the way the shimmer caught the light) and cooler (when less of the shimmer was reflecting). It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly on the lips. The gloss was lightweight, smooth, lightly tacky, and comfortable to wear. It lasted for four and a half hours on me and felt hydrating.

Ooh St. Tropez is really pretty! I like the cooler undertone it has, must check it out.
It’s such a stunning shade!
I struggle to find nudes that don’t wash me out. At this point in my nude lip color search, Toffee is the best nude I’ve found for my medium warm skin tone. (I have black hair, am 51, and my lips are a medium mauve color, all of which probably play an additional role in my difficulty finding nudes that look right on me.)
Happy to hear that Toffee at least gets you closer in your search!
Some day I’m going to cave and get St. Tropez
It’s very pretty!
I am tempted to try Amber or Toffee if the yare not tacky like mac’s lip gloss. Those shades will go nicely with my warm skin tone.
Not quite as tacky but still a tacky gloss!
These all look lovely! Especially for summer. St. Tropez reminds me a bit of Sephora’s Delerium lip gloss, so as much as I love it the most, I probably don’t need it.
St. Tropez is very summery!
Toffee is STUNNING. oh my gosh! That’d be a pretty neural!
It is!
St. Tropez is gorgeous! I think it’s a must have for me.
It’s very unique!
Hi Christine, I was so excited to see the St Tropez shade is now a full size permanent ABH product! I clicked on the link you provide to Sephora to purchase it but that shade is not available; it doesnt even show as “sold out”. Did you purchase that shade from Sephora?
Hi Nydia,
They will be available at Sephora later in June!
Oh, got it. Thank you, Christine 🙂 Always look forward to reading your reviews on items on my wish list!
St. Tropez looks like a must have!
It’s more unique with the cooler pink base!
