Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Most loved product of the week: UD x Basquiat Gold Griot Eyeshadow Palette

Most used product of the week: Lancome Teint Idole 24H Long Wearing Foundation; UD x Basquiat Gold Griot Eyeshadow Palette; Medusa’s Make-up Blush in Georgia Peach.

Any new beauty discoveries?: Sephora Collection Shine Rouge Lipstick in Heartbreaker. A perfect sheer, yet bright, purple. How did I miss out on it for so long?

My skin tone/coloring: light golden/yellow

Most loved product of the week: A toss up between UD’s Pirates of the Caribbean blushes in Caribbean and Lost Soul. I would buy (and rebuy to the end of my days) Lost Soul if UD made it permanent!!! And it’s a great name for a product in their permanent collection.

Most used product of the week: Not counting staples (foundation, powder, etc.), ColourPop 8 Track — used as a single-shadow look every day this week except one.

Any new beauty discoveries?: Mmmm … sort of? It’s more skincare than beauty, and the “discovery” was a negative one: I’ve confirmed to my own satisfaction that certain Vitamin C formulations darken my skin and give it an oddly warm tan tone; I’m now experimenting with various products to see if I can find one that works better for me (currently trying Drunk Elephant C-Firma).

Medium warm (MAC NC30, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk 5.75, MUFE HD Y365, Born This Way Natural Beige)

Most loved: Chanel Codes Subtils eyeshadow quad and Dior Addict Lacquer Stick in Sassy

Most used: Dior Addict Lacquer Stick in Sulfurous and Marc Jacob’s Re(Marc)able foundation.

New discovery: The Dior Addict Lacquer sticks. The formula is just amazing! It’s pigmented, glossy, moisturizing, and doesn’t feather.

My skin tone/coloring: light, cooler
Most loved product of the week: Dior Tailleur Bar. It’s the sparkly semi-nude lipstick of my dreams.
Most used product of the week: MAC Cranberry e/s (as an outer corner/crease color with several pinky or orangey shades), Tarte Paaarty blush
Any new beauty discoveries?: rediscovered NARS tinted moisturizer, picked up Bite lip liners in 70 and 26. I love how varied the colors in this massive launch are! I’ve looked for pink and coral pencils in many brands without finding ones as perfect in color as these two. And the texture is great! I also got a sample of NARS Orgasm blush from Sephora this week. I’d never used it before and was surprised at how much I liked it. Very glowy and easy to wear, not as overly shimmery as I had assumed.

My skintone/coloring: light to medium, MAC NC23ish/GA LSUVF 5.5/Tom Ford Bisque or Linen
Most loved product of the week: Shiseido Future LX Loose Radiance Powder – love the smell, love the finish
Most used product of the week: MAC Cremesheen glasses – I keep a stash at work and am trying to be better about keeping my lips hydrated (I find them comfortable to wear and they aren’t dehydrating at least, so there’s that) or at least have something on them so they are not drying out. I’m using them up so as not to have wasted money but after I’m out, I don’t think I’ll re-purchase. They’re fine but I’m just not a gloss girl.
Any new beauty discoveries?: My masks! I’ve started using them more and more and I really am starting to like my nighttime routine, now. It was always so tedious before. I think it’s just as much mental for me as it is beneficial for my skin. Since I’ve been using the masks, I get ready for bed earlier and it feels more luxurious, more like a pampering routine rather than just running upstairs and showering, getting the day’s gunk off and falling into bed after I’ve been alseep on the couch for an hour.

Skintone/ coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones Lancôme Teint Idole 24H N360 or MAC NC37, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Most loved product of the week: Jawbone from my brand new UD Basquiat Gallery Cheek palette has proven to be the best bronzer for my skintone that I may ever have used! I actually really love this whole cheek palette so much!

Most used product of the week: See above! ^ , plus my easiest on my tender skin BB cream: Lumene BB cream in Medium.

Any new beauty discoveries? That neem oil and colloidal silver kick shingles butt and help heal the vesicles up very quickly! Also; boy am I glad that I ordered the UD Basquiat Gallery palette! Pure perfection for medium to deeper skintones, even X-Rated which I thought had to be a very poor joke, it can give the softest veil of pink to the bronzer and highlight. That surprised me!

Tammy B Avatar

Nancy, I am going to have to check out the Gallery cheek palette.

Now I am researching colloidal silver online and am a little confused. Did you take it as a supplement or use it topically? I am finding it in supplement form on internet but not topical.

Pearl Avatar

Hey Nancy – Check out ASAP Silver gel and solutions by American Biotech Labs. It’s got 10 or 30 ppm (parts per million) for the liquid solution and 24 ppm for the gel. They also have OTC (I can’t remember what it stands for but it’s not over the counter) Wound Gel that would help heal the vesicles in no time, maybe even head them off at the pass. It’s nano-ionic and it’s no joke – you could have something angry and red you slather the gel on and it diffuses it immediately. Costco has it intermittently but I know Amazon carries it regularly. It’s anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and a few others I can’t remember. I use it in place of hand sanitizer, I mix it in with my lotions and I have it in an atomizer and for spraying around the house or as one of my toners for my skin care. Love the stuff.

Nancy T Avatar

Pearl, that is who makes this one I bought; ASAP! It has 24 ppm. All I know is that I seriously owe my daughter big time for advising me to get this stuff. Bought it on Fri. the 5th when my face looked truly ghastly, by Monday, the vesicles had crusted over, by Wednesday, the crusts had fallen off for the most part and I was able to wear my BB cream. Pretty much knew it was a winner as soon as it touched my skin that Friday evening, because the instant cooling and pain relief was so wonderful!

My skintone: nc23! Light medium with prominent yellow undertones. I have oily and dehydrated skin,

My most loved product of the week: Essence sheer and Shiney lipsticks! I have like a princess and I feel pretty. Oneis a sheer, juicy looking hot pink that stains. And the other is a deeper, sheer nude. I love them!

My most used product this week: l’oreal infallible total cover foundation. I love to squeeze out a dime sized amount, and spread all over my face, and take a flat topped brush from wet n wild and I stipple and pat it Into the skin for the most coverage! It covers my acne scarring SO well in one layer.

Kgd013, prob nw 15-20. New fave: Jouer blush moisture tint blah blah over the sample of Mac p&p in pink…the sample. Wow, that TM broke up over snail, but over primer it is more than decent. Spring has been all about base products that don’t include my provokers and don’t read too yellow. Research has paid off. Thanks, cosdna! Now I have 2. Psych. KGD looks more like skin, but the Jouer certainly isn’t makeupy. Most used: that first cp Amanda Steele quad and the BM bare sensuals palette. Mac mocha turned out to be the emperor’s new blush, but everyone needs something for a no makeup look. You know, the kind that takes longer than multicolored 5 shadow/3 cheek looks….New: never tried inglot liners (or inglot anything) and after the metallic gray one (not what I’d really call metallic, compared to others) I’d say, try some more.

My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Most loved product of the week: bareMinerals Soft and Smoky palette, although I do wish the brand had put in a dark brown instead of the orangey shade.
Most used product of the week: Naked 2.
Any new beauty discoveries?: Innika brow pencil – vegan and it’s quite good.

Tammy Avatar

My sjin tone/coloring: light /neutral NW20 with silvery blonde hair and blue eyes. Most loved product of the week: that’s a tough decision. I guess maybe KVD Rock Candy Studded Kiss Lipstick in Roxy. Any new beauty discoveries? More than one- I liked everything on my Ipsy bag, especially the Urban Decay Sin Highlighter and It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara.

NC20 / NW20

Most used, loved:
– Ole Henriksen Truth Serum + facial spray. Delighted with the OH products.
– NYX blush in Angel.
– NYX round lipstick in Narcissus.

New discoveries:
– UD eye primer in Sin, used as an allover-lid-up-to-browbone-and-extended cream eyeshadow.
– Sephora sleeping mask in Rose. Also got Lotus and Pomegranate, but haven’t used yet.
I think I’ll be able to get about 6 uses out of each mini-pot of sleeping mask, which sell for $4 each.

Skin tone: Very pale and cool undertones.
Most loved product of the week: Becca Chrissy Teigen highlighter palette.
Most used product of the week: Ciate Chloe Morello palette. I pulled it out again and have been using the more neutral shades to make everyday looks.
New product finds: I picked up the Lancôme Matte Juicy Shaker last week in the color Kiss Me Cherie and hadn’t had enough time to wear last week but wore it several times this week and I am really liking the formula and color. It doesn’t dry down completely and that might be a deal breaker for some people but it is comfortable on my lips, doesn’t feather into my ever growing lip lines and the color complements my skin tone nicely.

My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool to neutral, Bare minerals 1.5 Birch

Most loved product of the week: Jouer Cosmetics Springtime in Paris eye palette, did a eye look today using the purple, pink and a little bit of gold, with the dark blue used as an eyeliner. Just love that pink shifty eyeshadow.

Most used product of the week: Garnier B&B cream in Extra Light mixed with a little moisturiser as it’s still a little dark for me but will be perfect over summer.

Any new beauty discoveries?: Not quite new but found my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain crayon in Crush! Leaves a lovely stain behind and lasts on my lips which usually eat lipstick.

Dianne Avatar

My skin tone: Fair with neutral undertones, dark blonde hair and hazel eyes

Most loved product of the week: MAC At Dusk Extra Dimension Blush

Most used product of the week: UD Naked concealer and Maybelline Fit Me concealer

New beauty discoveries? The Physician’s Formula Insta-Ready Full Coverage Concealer. It might be my new favorite undereye concealer!

Skintone / coloring : light NC 20, med brown hair and eyes

Most loved product : Tom Ford Blush in Wicked

Most used : Tom Ford Blush in Wicked & Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer

New beauty discoveries : Colourpop Eyeshadows and Ultra Satin Lip Gloss. I finally bit the bullet and made a purchase. Love everything so far. Really impressed with the Ultra Satin lip gloss. So comfortable and last so long

– skin tone/coloring: fair warm (NC10-12ish), blue eyes, light brown hair with copper highlights
– most loved product of the week: Viseart Nuance eyeshadow palette. Am loving the warm pink/purple tones, great for spring, I have no others in this range, and sets off my blue eyes nicely
– most used product of the week: aside from the staples like foundation, powder… Estee Lauder Naked Truth lipstick.
– any new beauty discoveries? Maybe…Lancôme “Renergie Lift Multi-Action Eye” gwp, so far so good.

Vanessa Avatar

My skin tone/coloring: Medium neutral Mac NC 30
Most loved product of the week: Nars Lola Lola
Most used product of the week: Bobbi Brown Skin foundation
Any new beauty discoveries?: None

Gwen Avatar

My skin tone/coloring: MAC NC 35/40 or Nars St. Moritz – Medium/Tan, Dark brown eyes and hair

Most loved product of the week: Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
Creases be gone! I’m still trying to figure out the right balance with this product. If I use too much, my underage area can look dry and crepey making me look much older than I am, but just the right amount looks good all day! I’ll keep experimenting.

Most used product of the week: Benefit Roller Lash
This is my holy grail mascara. I have straight eyelashes and don’t even curl them when I use this.

Any new beauty discoveries?: NARS Charlotte Gainsbourg Hydrating Glow Tint
This is very sheer, but I feel like that it gives me just enough coverage to wear to work for a very natural look. You can also wear it as a base. This won’t cover any serious blemishes but it’s a nice wash of color for a natural, everyday type of look.

Also, just want to thank everyone for having a wonderful, positive beauty community. 🙂

My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Most loved product of the week: YSL Babydoll Kiss & Blush in 09
Most used product of the week: MUFE Water Blend Foundation
Any new beauty discoveries?: Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily Lipstick
