Smashbox Smoky is a limited edition eye palette that retails for $28.00 and contains 0.21 oz.

Editor's Review

Smashbox Smoky Cover Shot Eye Palette ($29.00 for 0.27 oz.) is a small, travel-friendly palette that features a smoky take on earth shades of brown, plum, green, and gray. The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" with a "beyond blendable" texture. All eight shades had good pigmentation, were fairly blendable, and wore for seven to eight hours. Some shades were a touch dusty, which may have resulted in a bit of fallout during application or shorter-wear, but overall, the palette was easy to use, and the colors chosen make sense within the theme.

Cover Shot: Eye Palettes swipe on highly pigmented, beyond blendable color for endless eye looks. Smashbox popped in two bigger base shades so you won’t run out of basics before you’ve used all the high-impact accent colors. You’ll be obsessed with the velvety, wearable quality of these shadows—not to mention the hot new eye looks they inspire.

This is the only one of the Cover Shot palettes that interested me and I'm so glad I have it. It's almost the perfect little travel palette (a somewhat lighter beige with a bit of sheen is the only thing that's missing) because it has great neutral colours for everyday looks if you're travelling for business or family stuff but there are also a few shades - STFU and Big Night - to make more dramatic looks. I have generally shied away from red and burgundy eyeshadows as they make my eyes look irritated, but Headline is such a nice and flattering introduction to this type of shade. Slayer is a seriously wonderful crease or smoky lid shadow (I prefer it to Big Night as it's easier to wear and has no glitter) and Rock Me and Hell Ya are the sorts of colours I wear frequently, so for me, they're "must have" shades in any practical palette.
