MAC Lipglass is a thicker, tackier gloss that is very shiny and makes lips look smoother, as it is more glass-like. It is vanilla-scented but has no discernible taste. This shade was slightly thinner than the average Lipglass, but it was moderately tacky, so it lasted better (four and a half hours). I found it comfortable to wear, and it was even lightly hydrating. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque pigmentation (though Lipglass is described as “high coverage”), so it should work well on its own, as it doesn’t emphasize lip lines, or layered, as it isn’t fully opaque and has a lot of sparkle.
The MAC x Selena collection will be available online September 28th for MAC Select members and October 1st for all others. It will be in select store locations on October 6th–call your local store to find out if they will be one of those locations.

The gloss is pretty, but wowzie, the eye look is stunning!!! Would love to see a tutorial of how you did it with those MAC Selena shadows, or at least a step-by-step guide under Looks
It is already posted under looks! 🙂 I listed where each shade was applied so hopefully that helps!
Oh gotcha! When I go to the very top, under Blog -Looks, it’s not there. But if I go to the black bar on top and hit the link directly to Looks, it’s there.
Oooh, so there’s the issue 🙁 I used to post looks a lot on the actual blog, so that’s the Looks category for blog posts vs. now I post in our actual Looks system, which anyone can post to.
I’ll have to see about differentiating that!
Very sparkly! But because it’s such a pretty pink I think I’d actually wear it!
Awesome!
Finally, something in a light pink shade that I absolutely love! It is a must for me, so I am definitely getting! The early part of the 28th is gonna be an interesting one. ?
Woohoo!! 🙂
I’m loving this lip glass, I haven’t bought any from Mac for so long this one is coming home with me.
Yay! 😀
It’s pretty, but I don’t wear glitter sized sparkle on my lips anymore, unless it’s a festive occasion.
Darn!
This is lovely! It has a nice color, and I like the sparkle.
It is!
Originally I just wanted the gloss so I could respond Bidi Bidi Bom Bom when someone asked what I was wearing! But after seeing your review, I really like the shade. It’s a pretty soft pink and I think will be easy for many people to wear. And wow, I really wasn’t all that interested in the shadows but I love the eye look you created with them! I may need to rethink getting them as well.
Haha! 😉 It’ll be easy to wear for sure!
It’s such a pretty gloss. I’m sure this collection is going to sell out in a hot minute.
I’m very curious how well they stocked this one!
This would be a pretty topper as well for some of my pink lipsticks. I am going see if I am able to get this online. I can’t wait to see your review on the eye shadows that look is gorgeous.
It would be lovely on top of lipsticks!
I”ev never been a big fan of MAC’s lipglass formula and I was expecting this to be overly glittery! It looks really good though and seems to be a colour that is universally flattering!
Totally understand – it is a thicker/tackier formula!
Pretty. Just the kind of lipglss I like. I might get this one.
Agreeing with Katherine, your eyemakeup is stunning!
Thank you, Helene!
This is pink – and sparkly – and it shall be mine! : )
Enjoy, Deborah!
I haven’t bought a MAC lipglass in 7 years, I used to be all about the MAC gloss in my 20’s (I had more then a dozen). I think so many companies stepped up their makeup game, and as I got older I have less time to keep reapplying every hour. But this is such an effortless color, I might just get it!
Interesting that Lipglass wore for an hour on you but other brands lasted longer – Lipglass is usually one of the longer-wearing glosses as it is quite tacky!
I’m curious, why did you give a better grade to this one compared to other mac glosses? You almost always put mac glosses in the B range. You always say that they are not your favourite glosses because they are sticky. This one is no exception… You gave this one a 9 in the product category and the glosses from Star Trek got a 8.5…even though it is the same product! All mac glosses are the same, sure some are more creamy while others are more glittery, that is why mac categorised them. Warp speed ahead was more pigmented than this and it got an 8 for pigmentation while this one, that you can barely see on the lips got an 8.5…..
The texture, longevity, application, pigmentation, etc. are all part of the product score. MAC glosses are not all the same – if that were true, there would be no need to write more than one review! 🙂 Bidi Bidi Bom Bom applied and lasted better than the shades from Star Trek based on personally wearing them. MAC Lipglasses range from A to F, I am sure – just recently: Glitter Grunge (A), Dej Loaf (B+), Viva Glam Miley Cyrus (A-), Domeistc Diva (A-), Hot/Cold (A-), Tenor Voice (A), Victoriana (A-), and so on and so on.
Warp Speed is actually a touch sheerer, but we are quibbling over 0.5 point – this was 8.5 out of 10 and Warp Speed was 8 of 10. You can see my lip freckle a bit more defined with Warp Speed, whereas the base of Bidi Bidi Bom Bom mutes it more and makes it appear more faded/covered.
This reminds me so much of the Miley Cyrus lip glass which I love. I have to get my hands on it.
Awesome!
I’m so glad I got this and Dreaming of You during the december relaunch, I think that bidi bidi bom bom is my favorite MAC lipglass because I really like the ones with glitter throughout if I’m actually going to wear gloss. Normally I wear satin and matte lipsticks or stains and sheers, so when I go for gloss I want it to do what it does best, apply sparkle evenly!
