Weekend Sales Reminders! Sephora, Ulta, Bergdorf Goodman, Origins, Smashbox

Sephora

Sephora’s Beauty Insider Appreciation Event ends today!  VIB Rouges will receive 4x points; VIBs will receive 3x points; and BIs will receive 2x points on all purchases made between September 10th and September 17th, 2016. For some product picks, check out the original post here.

ULTA's 21 Days

ULTA’s 21 Days event is still going on — today’s deal is 50% off Urban Decay Afterglow Blush, which is a total steal. It’s a great formula (reviews here), and my personal favorites are Rapture, Bittersweet, and Fetish. Several shades are out of stock online, but there are a few shades left – and anyone who planned to shop in-store should be able to take advantage of the deal there.

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

There are only 3 left now online… score, bittersweet and fetish. At 8:30a.m. Pacific time ha ha. Plus the site seems slow! Fortunately I bought the two I knew I wanted *ahem* overnight. But I got back on this morning because I’m wondering about bittersweet… so dark and risky, but…

I picked up Bittersweet (along with Fetish) today in-store! I was going to buy Video and Crush as well, but they told me at the register that they had a limit of 2 on the Afterglow since they are a high-volume store. Oh well! Anyway I’ve already opened up my Bittersweet and it is so pretty! It’s not *that* dark, I was a little nervous too but I love it. I hope you do, too!

Bittersweet is one of my favorites. It’s really not that dark and not that risky. It’s a surprisingly wearable shade (I’m considered somewhere between fair and light in most ranges) and it never looks too dark or bruisey. It’s very easy to apply with a light touch and then build up if you want more. This is the one I reach for most when I want cooler toned blush.

Hey Christine! Today is the last day, but Macy’s has had a beauty sale event going on. It’s $10 off every $50 dollars (EVERY)… So essentially 20% off everything beauty and fragrances. I think Chanel is excluded. Anyways, just wanted to let you know since it’s a great deal They even have the UD eletric palette for $24 like sephora had. Anyways, hope you are all having a great weekend!

Hi Christine, I wanted to say thank you so much for your awesome swatches and thorough reviews of the afterglow blush collection!!! I pretty new to makeup and building my collection so ulta’s beauty steal was a real opportunity for me! I would have been lost without your swatches and reviews, especially because the testers in ulta do not look like the actual colors because of the UV lights they have shining on them (it’s so hard to believe they do that! I can’t even imagine how many returns result from this. and I went to three different ulta stores in NJ to find all of the shades I wanted yesterday and it was the same at every store. anyway..) Just wanted to thank you because this website is such an amazing resource. I recommend it to everyone who engages in a conversation with me about makeup! 🙂
