Sneak Peek: 18 x Anastasia Lipglosses Photos & Swatches
Anastasia Lipgloss
Here are swatches of 18 of the permanent shades in the Anastasia Lipgloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) range. I actually swatched these–to my shame and horror!–back in December and only took the time to edit yesterday. I know I have several more of the glosses to photograph/swatch still, and I’m hoping to do those sometime (maybe in a couple of weeks)…
I’m still on a no buy for lip gloss, but darn, these are so pretty! A nice wide range of colors, something for everyone. Love that blue shimmer in Electro
Oh my… Rio and Venom look fantastic! So does Vintage though, I’m a sucker for an MLBB (or something close to).
I’m curious as to why some have women’s names (Kristen and Tara), and others aren’t!
These look beautiful. I have my eye on Vintage and Undressed!
Vintage and Kirsten are so pretty.
Thank you so much for these swatches! Will a review on these be coming? I am curious about your thoughts, as some of these look a little patchy and settled into lip lines (although that could just be the extreme close up – thank you macro mode). I did see the review of the summer shades and really want St. Tropez to be released on its own, but wanted to know more about some of the permanent ones. You do such amazing work on this site and review so many items – no shame in taking time to provide photos. I really appreciate the honest reviews, as there are not a lot of those to go around these days.
I really don’t know at this time if or when I will review! I have a lot of other lip products that are already on the schedule right now, unfortunately! I’m so sorry! I have reviewed several permanent shades in the past, so maybe those reviews would be helpful? http://www.temptalia.com/anastasia-lustrous-lip-gloss-set-review-photos-swatches/
These glosses are so pretty and pigmented. Venom is my favorite. I need to get it.
These look stunning on you, especially Rio, Electro, and Venom.
Oooh – Bordeaux and Vamp….gimme, gimme! Will you be reviewing these, Christine?
I’m not sure right now! I’m pretty inundated with lip products right now, so I don’t feel comfortable committing!
Inundated? Gee, I wonder why…. 😉 Is it at all possible for you to give a “quickie” overview (“these are the good ones”, “these are the less ideal ones” sort of thing)? I know you pride yourself and the site on providing detailed and objective reviews but, as you so rightly remind us, it can more than bit overwhelming so maybe a “quickie review” type thing (much as we are able to do when we review products here) might be an option, especially for those of us who really rely on your observations to help inform our own purchases.
Honestly haven’t worn the majority of them, and I swatched these back in December, so I don’t remember as much about specific shades! I’ve had pretty good luck with Anastasia’s gloss formula in general and find it fairly consistent – my experience has mostly been if it applies well, it works out nicely.
I’ve owned Peony for awhile and love it. Several of these are on my wish list. Thanks for the swatches!
These all look so pretty!
Tiara, Fudge, and Warm Bronze are calling my name!
Loving Warm Bronze, Electro, Sepia and Venom! Also, that Rio one looks summertime juicy and lux!
Venom is gorgeous! There are some other pretty shades, but a lot of them look like they pull into lip lines.
Ooooh, I like quite a few of those colors and the ones I like look like they have nice, even, smooth coverage, too. They are pretty! And they’re not matte!!
Rio and Electro are HOT!
I need Electro, Potion, Bordeaux, and Venom! ?
Ohhhh! These look good. I’m really digging Fudge and Tara. I’m hoping there are more purple shades in the line too even though I’m on a shopping moratorium.
Thanks for the swatches, Christine! I’m not a huge gloss fan, but I do make an exception for these because the formula & pigmentation (and scent!) are so great 🙂
Ahhh, these look insanely pigmented! Looking forward to read your review on them. I’m actually debating on whether or not purchasing the summer mini set along with the Modern Renaissance palette… Do you find them sticky? Thanks for your hard work, Christine!
Looks like some real winners here. I’ve off the gloss wagon for a year or two but these just looks so perfect. More like a glossy liquid lipstick.
I had to buy Kristen LOL. Spelled just like my name and it’s really pretty. And it smells like cake batter!
Not usually a gloss person but vamp! Wow!
Where has Vintage been all my life?!?
Electro and Venom are amazing!
Oh my these are so pretty. I’m really looking forward to your review on these. I am not a glossy girl. I love me some lipstick, I’ve been wearing them for the vast majority of my life, starting in the fifth grade with full on red.
I’ve been suffering through an extremely arduous, not to mention lengthy, period of very bad health. Because I can’t take in a ‘normal, healthy’ amount of fluids, my lips are always chapped. I can’t find a lip balm that really helps and I’ve tried them all. I AM NOT SEEKING PITY, just trying to explain why I’m trying to wear more glosses…
Now, the reasons I disliked lipglosses are reasons that don’t bother me. For example, I detested sticky glosses, but now I really like them because they last longer. Other advantages are they stay on my lips, they give me some color instead of the perma natural ghastly powdered donut lip I have, etc. I’m not in a windstorm so my hair doesn’t get caught in them and they stay on for a while because I’m not eating & drinking. I know this comment may sound stupid to some because you may believe makeup is the last thing that I should be interested in, but it’s beautiful, fun, relatively harmless & makes me feel pretty even when I feel s—ty. I love makeup and if I lose my interest in that I know that I’m really beginning to let my illness win and it will not win and be the thing that defines me.
I hope you’re finding ways to help work through your health issues (whether that’s a cure or just coping), and I think you will find more readers than you think who find makeup (and beauty) a great outlet when dealing with serious health issues/illnesses!
Sometimes just finding something that makes you smile is extremely uplifting — whether that’s makeup or something else!
Thanks for your kind words Christine.
I have found a lot of comfort in knowing I’m not alone with dealing with my issues by having the outlet of makeup. When I’m able to participate in going on beauty blogs & the like.
Again, your support is truly appreciated.
Namaste.
Hugs! <3
