The formula is supposed to be pigmented, long-wearing, and blendable (for more on how it compares to the previous formula, check out this post). It had good pigmentation that was mostly opaque to begin with, but it would be fully opaque in a layer and a half. The consistency was soft, smooth, and silky to the touch, which was fantastic to find, as it helped make this shade blendable on the skin. Despite the intensity and richness of the shade, it was easy to work with and diffuse on the skin. If you are fairer, you may want to use a feathery brush and very light hand, but it is forgiving enough that it can be sheered out if over-applied. When wore at less-than-opaque coverage, it tended to look pinker rather than red/plum. This shade lasted for nine hours on me before fading.

Wow, such a gorgeous plum color! Are there no dupes?
There are dupes, I’m just an idiot and can’t even copy and paste right these days! It will be fixed shortly.
I love the color but not sure I could pull it off.
Totally understand!
This reminds me of the newly-released Chanel blush, Rouge Profund; I’m crossing my fingers that they’re comparable! I want the entire Le Rouge collection, and I’m being forced to spend less $$$ on makeup… DAMN, do I ever wish I were born rich instead of good-looking! Haha. 😉
Good-looking is a pretty good roll 🙂
Yeah, I’d take either one, actually!
Desire is gorgeous! That color is just, WOW. Might be hard to dupe, I’m thinking?
I’m so sorry for causing totally unnecessary confusion and really messing things up over here. There are dupes – I just made an egregious error and instead of putting them in, I typed a random letter instead. I’m so sorry!
No problem, don’t feel bad! It’s the heat, I’m not kidding. It does this to just about everyone out here, even if they’re not outdoors. My reaction was: “hey, this is cool! Cheap brand and no dupes; WINNING!” ?
Woooooooow. A dupeless blush, and from MUG, AND with great reviews?! That’s something you don’t see every day. Even though I wouldn’t wear it on my cheeks, it looks like a beautiful shade for a deeper crease with hazel/green/grey eyes!!! May have to get this 🙂 Thanks for the review as always, Christine!!!
So sorry, Sarah, for my major error – there are dupes, but I stupidly didn’t paste in the list of dupes and so they did not go through. I’m very sorry for causing you confusion as that was not my goal!
Lol that’s just fine Christine! You do so much else on this site, it’s okay to have some off posts. Thankfully, the dupes are still a ways out of my budget, so my comments and gratitude stand!
I love the looks of this in pan, but I totes think it would just be a pink blush on me based on the intensity I would use for application.
I could totally see that! I find a lot of these deep shades look more similar than not, due to how sheer I’d wear ’em!
The colour is so nice, would look amazing with a bit of sheen too!
It would be!
No dupes?
I’m so sorry, Bonnie! Totally my stupidity – instead of pasting in the dupes, I just typed in B like a total bozo! This will be fixed momentarily – I have to completely look and find dupes, then enter them in. Should be in about 20 minutes! SO sorry again.
This is a lovely plum, and I can see the intensity of this color lending itself well to darker skin tones.
Always liked this family. MUG goofed on my order, duplicated everything but the Z. Sent the dupes back in their original packing, without taking them out of the sleeves. Wrote an email and explained on the returned packing slip. They have not made good on a refund. Some I did not order look pretty good. Maybe they’ll send me others. They should, considering I sent them back unopened, in the original packing, and someone else owns the now. I lack sticktoitiveness on that type of thing. If I never get satisfaction, mug is over for me.
Nice color – about halfway between Cola Pop and NARS Goulue. Maybe I shoud try those two together.
