Rare Beauty Faith Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($20.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a darker plum with subtle, cool undertones and a flat, matte finish. This was one of the matte finish shades, so had more of a full dry down that went from more emollient and serum-like (with a touch of sheen) to a flat, matte finish quickly. It was intensely pigmented where a little went a very long way, so use less than you think and get familiar with the formula first!
The working time is definitely on the shorter side, so you'll want to apply just one or two dots of product (or even less) to one cheek and diffuse/blend out immediately, and then go to the other cheek and repeat the application. This was the only shade I had real issues within the existing line-up of eight; it was a bit grainy when it dried down, which was visible in the swatch but was horrifying in person as the color settled into my pores and did not diffuse or spread evenly for me.
I tried to shake up the bottle several times in case it was an issue with the formula not being mixed right or a pigment had settled to the bottom, but I just couldn't get the product to apply better. The best luck I had was applying it over bare skin with a synthetic brush and then using a foundation brush to apply over top, which helped fake the blending. The end result, which was uneven and patchy, lasted for a similar length of time as other shades (eight and a half hours).
