MAC Life's a Picnic & Oh My! Blushes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
MAC Life’s a Picnic Blush
MAC Life’s a Picnic Blush ($22.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “hot reddish pink.” It’s a bold, bright medium coral-pink with very subtle undertones and a satin finish. It was intensely pigmented with a really soft, smooth consistency that blended out easily on the skin and had a natural finish that didn’t emphasize pores but didn’t look too flat or powdery either. I actually found it looked linker and less coral the more I blended it out–I can see this one’s tone changing from person to person a little more than your average blush shade. It lasted for eight and a half hours before fading. Makeup Geek Love Affair (DC, $9.99) is more muted (90% similar). NARS Peep Show (LE, $30.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). NARS 413 BLKR (P, $30.00) is darker (90% similar). Milani Bella Rosa (11) (P, $7.99) is darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Oh My! (LE, $24.00) is warmer (90% similar). MAC Take Me Home (Top) (LE, $24.00) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar). NYX Pinched (DC, $5.00) is warmer (85% similar). MAC Sunset Beach (LE, $32.00) is cooler (85% similar). theBalm Toile (P, $22.00) is warmer (85% similar). Tarte Deco (LE, $29.00) is lighter, more muted (85% similar). MAC Red Water Lily (LE, $40.00) is more shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). MAC Mocha (P, $24.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). Chanel Vibration (270) (P, $45.00) is lighter (85% similar). Milani Lady Rouge (06) (P, $8.99) is warmer (85% similar). Tarte Irreplaceable (LE, $29.00) is lighter, more muted (85% similar). Milani Tea Rose (08) (P, $8.99) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). NYX Peach (DC, $5.00) is lighter (80% similar). Too Faced How Deep is Your Love? (P, $26.00) is lighter (80% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Paradise Lust (Bottom) (LE, ) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). Sephora Flirt It Up (06) (P, $14.00) is lighter (80% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. MAC Oh My! Blush ($22.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “reddish mid-tone coral.” It’s a bright, medium coral-red with warm undertones and slight hints of pink paired with a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation (and buildable for sure) with a fairly soft and blendable texture. It wasn’t quite as easily blended and diffused as Life’s a Picnic, and when blended down, they both look very similar on me but those with cooler undertones will likely see more warmth out of Oh My!. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading was apparent. MAC Frankly Scarlet (P, $24.00) is cooler (95% similar). theBalm Toile (P, $22.00) is warmer (95% similar). NYX Crimson (P, $6.50) is warmer (90% similar). MAC Red Envy (LE, $24.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). MAC Life's a Picnic (LE, $24.00) is cooler (90% similar). Estee Lauder Poppy Passion (P, $34.00) is more muted (90% similar). Rare Beauty Grateful (P, $23.00) is darker, cooler, glossier (90% similar). MAC Never Say Never (P, $16.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). NYX Tuscan (P, $6.50) is warmer (85% similar). ColourPop Luv Me Not (LE, $12.00) is warmer (85% similar). ColourPop Fruit Stand (DC, $8.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). Chanel Rouge Profond (320) (P, $45.00) is more muted, more pigmented (85% similar). Lethal Cosmetics Sanguine (P, $15.50) is more shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Urban Decay Quiver (DC, $26.00) is cooler (85% similar). Smashbox Geranium (LE, ) is lighter (85% similar). Coloured Raine Prove My Loyalty (Blush) (LE, ) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Chanel Intonation (69) (DC, $38.00) is lighter, glossier (80% similar). Guerlain Coral Blush (LE, ) is lighter (80% similar). Sephora Flirt It Up (06) (P, $14.00) is lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
MAC’s Powder Blush formula is supposed to be easy to apply, long-wearing, and have “fantastic colour.” It’s hard to generalize for MAC’s blush formula, because it varies a lot from shade to shade, even within different types of finishes! Some of them are very good, others are so-so, and a few are complete misses. The more frosted/shimmery shades tend to have the softest and smoothest textures and are easier to apply and blend out on the skin, while more satin and matte shades can sometimes be powdery, firm, or stiff, which makes blending more challenging. The wear is typically between six and nine hours but closer to seven to eight hours on average.

Both are suh-hoooooooh pretty! Want.
They are!
These are so pretty!!!❤️❤️❤️
I think I will end up getting most of the blushes in this collections and a couple of the lipsticks.
Awesome! You don’t see too many bright blushes, though MAC has quite a few now in their permanent line!
Wow, those colors really pop! The styling in the promotional photos for this line initially reminded me of Alice in Wonderland, and I’m definitely still getting that vibe from Life’s a Picnic. It looks like something you could wear to a fancy spring tea party.
I can see what you mean by an Alice in Wonderland vibe.
These are both very pretty. It’s nice to see that the quality is there even if they aren’t flattering colors for me personally.
Very true 🙂
So pretty!
They are!
Wow, so pretty and pigmented!
They’re very pigmented!
Both are so pretty. They seem to really awaken the face.
They are!
I love them BOTH! So many blushes in this collection too! Mac is killing me! I appreciate you noting the similarity. So, I can come back to earth and I’ll pick the better blending, more readily available Life’s a Picnic.
Good idea 🙂 I find that a lot of the bolder blushes do look less different on, just because it’s harder to wear them at full opacity, I think.
Ooh !! These look like they are brown girl friendly! I can’t wait to get to a store to try these out :). We shall see what mr. Budget says though
Just about all the blushes are bright/bold/pigmented enough to be used on all skin tones 😀
Nice! Life’s a Picnic is too bright for me, I’d go for Oh My!
They are both some bold shades!
I want them both! I want them ALL actually! LOL
lol!
The pigmentation on these is INSANE!!! And yet, I must have at least one, probably Life’s A Picnic because I like it better than my CP Pie by far. But these sure are bright and vivid even for my NC37-40 coloring!
They’re very rich!!
Gorgeous! The pigmentation is crazy. Coral blushes are my favorites…I may be in trouble!
They’re both rich shades!
WOW! I love these. Might be a bit much for my pale rosacea skin but I’m loving the pigmentation!
Me too!
These are really bright, strong blushes that look gorgeous on you Christine. Great quality too – which is a change from MAC. Unfortunately these shades would not be flattering on me.
Thank you, Genevieve!
Very pretty!
They are!
Hi Christine,
I was wondering if you would be able to compare “Oh My!” with “Bite of an Apple” blush from MACs Venomous Villains collection. Would really appreciate it! 🙂
