NYX Bronzed & Glow HD Blushes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
NYX Bronzed HD Blush
NYX Bronzed HD Blush ($6.50 for 0.16 oz.) is a softened, medium copper-brown with warm, reddish undertones and a luminous sheen. It had good pigmentation with a soft, blendable consistency that was a smidgen powdery but didn’t look it on the skin. The blush seemed to “melt” against the skin to a degree, as the finish had a natural sheen that didn’t emphasize pores but helped the skin look like skin. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me. Chanel Elegance (370) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). ColourPop Non-Fiction (LE, $8.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). Sephora Passionate (23) (P, $14.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). Chanel Jersey (80) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Chanel Alezane (260) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Black Opal Rose Gold (P, $8.95) is darker (90% similar). NARS Liberation (Right) (LE, ) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Makeup Geek Ablaze (P, $20.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). NYX Glow HD Blush ($6.50 for 0.16 oz.) is a medium, orange-toned brown with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had nice color payoff, while the soft, silky texture made it easy to blend out the edges or to sheer it out, if desired. The texture gets a little powdery, as it is so soft, but it doesn’t look powdery on the skin. When I tried it, the blush lasted for eight hours before fading. Zoeva Surreal (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). IT Cosmetics Warm Radiance (P, $34.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Melt Cosmetics Lynx (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). ColourPop Glo Up (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). ColourPop Santos (LE, $8.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Suqqu Hanachaori (02) (P, $34.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Laura Geller Honeysuckle (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Cloudy Copper (LE, $31.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). Urban Decay Paranoid (DC, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Makeup Geek Ignite (P, $20.00) is darker (85% similar). Benefit 10 (Bronzer) (DC, $29.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). LORAC Unapologetic (LE, ) is darker, warmer (85% similar). MAC Aphrodite's Shell (LE, $34.00) is less shimmery, lighter (80% similar). MAC Liberating (LE, $24.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). Laura Geller Sunswept (P, $28.00) is darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
FORMULA SUMMARY | NYX’s newest blush formula is supposed to be a “high definition, lightweight blush that blends evenly” that is “vibrant and silky.” The texture tended to be on the more powdery side, but it sits well and doesn’t look powdery applied. Many shades have a more luminous finish to them where the shimmer is fine enough to create a glow, rather than a frosted finish (though a couple are quite shimmery). The formula blends fairly easily on the skin and has medium, buildable coverage with some being very pigmented right off the bat. The wear time is between seven and eight hours.

Ohhh these both look gorgeous on you, Christine! Such a pretty, natural glow!
Aw, thanks a lot, Lydia!
Nice- but I’ve given up on actually FINDING NYX on shelves.
Aww!
These are both really pretty! More like blushing bronzers but still lovely!
Haha! Very true. Although I love a good multi-tasking cheek product ;D
Glow is gorgeous. Too dark for me as a bronzer, but it might work as one of those “fading sunburn” blush colors.
I bet it could! It could work layered to warm up something, too.
I’ve been loving these kind of sunburnt blushes lately (MAC Sunbasque especially), since I got a tan along my chest and shoulders from the beach but not my face, so it just looks so lovely and sometimes more natural in color than a traditional neutral (non-reddish) bronzer. Obviously it’s not for everyone’s tastes, but I love it.
I like these both. But, I really noticed Sheer Beso in these pics. I need to get that ASAP!
Sheer Beso <3
Soooo pretty on you! Actually, I don’t remember seeing a blush color that **doesn’t** look good on you. Do you feel there are some shades you can’t wear?
I don’t love red blush on me – I feel like they just look… wrong on me. Really pale pinks are also bad on me but that is a skin tone thing (I’m too dark, so they look chalky).
These are gorgeous! I love that they impart a glow vs frost. Bronzed reminds me very much of my Nyx Mosaic Blush in Champagne, which is a really good one-
* !, not -, my fat thumbs get in my way!
Oooh, nice to know 😀
Me gusta!
I would wear it as a blush!
Awesome 😀
Glow is very nice but possibly too warm for me. With a neutral lipstick and a fan brush I might be able to pull it off.
I bet you could, Erin!
I think I like the Glow colour better and both look lovely on you. Great ratings for a great price.
Thank you, Genevieve!
I like the glow in Glow! For $6.50, these are very impressive.
They are nice!
In love with these blushes;)
These are both really pretty! They suit you really well.
Oh, these are both pretty. I didn’t expect to like the top one, Bronzed, I thought it would be too warm, but it is a strange colour, I think, red-pink-peachy copper, like it has been very well polished or something. Describing colours aren’t my strong side, I should totally leave that to you, Christine.
Pity even the cheaper brands are not so cheap here, I think the price is at least the double. Still I think I need to visit the NYX store IRL or online, and in a not too far away future.
Oh, you REALLY look pretty with both “colors”, you really are masterful at application and blending 🙂 . I think I like Glow on you best tho. I’m a little darker than you…maybe if you had a lite tan, and feel like I could wear both also, however… Glow is a little more “forgiving”, so I think I will get Glow. I prefer for people to looking at me thinking “oh, she’s glowing”, rather than “oh, that blush sure does look good on her”, if that makes any sense..
I love your new layout and so appreciate everything you do for us…er, me! Thank you 🙂
Thank you so much, Fuchess!!
I have been looking for Glow everywhere (Ulta.com, Ulta stores, Amazon, etc) and I can’t find it anywhere. When do these colors come out? Were they LE for summer, or perhaps part of a palette?
Thanks!
