Urban Decay Crush Afterglow 8-Hour Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Urban Decay Crush Afterglow 8-Hour Blush
Urban Decay Crush Afterglow 8-Hour Blush ($26.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “medium pink.” It’s a subtly, cool-toned medium pink with a satin-matte finish. MAC P.S. I Like You (LE, $22.00) is a cream product, warmer. Urban Decay Naked on the Run Blush (LE) is slightly darker. MAC Young at Heart (LE, $22.00) is cooler-toned, cream. Make Up For Ever #210 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is lighter, cream. Clinique Plum Pop (04) (P, $21.00) is more luminous, darker. MAC Pure Femininity (LE, $20.00) is lighter. Edward Bess Bed of Roses (P, $43.00) is similar. theBalm Down Boy (P, $21.00) is lighter, cooler-toned. MAC Pink Tea (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery. Crush had buildable pigmentation that ranged from sheer to semi-sheer, while semi-opaque coverage was still achievable through three (light) layers. It didn’t feel like I had to pack it on over and over again to get visible color on my medium complexion, but it’s not an intensely pigmented formula (and it’s not supposed to be) right off the bat, so deeper skin tones may need to apply multiple layers. The powder had a silky, smooth consistency that ran thin and could kick up excess powder, because it seemed quite delicate, but it didn’t look powdery on the skin at all and was easy to blend out. The finish is mostly matte, but as the blush is worked and blended into the skin, there’s an ever-so-subtle sheen. It wore well for eight hours before fading.

Very pretty! It makes you look so innocent 😀
Thank you!
I really don’t gravitate towards these kinds of pinks myself, but it’s good to see an A rating for consistency!
It is nice they’re scoring well!
These are turning out to be so nice! But I had planned to get a few Clinique Pops and still haven’t bought any ColourPop ones so it’s like I don’t have any room for these :(. Maybe next winter.
So much blush!
Pretty. Looks fairly dupable though. 🙂
Definitely 🙂
This entire new collection is making me weak in the knees. I want EVERYTHING!
What are you loving the most so far? Like top three?
Fireball, tonic, dive bar, and backfire eyeshadows. Gotta have the blush in Rapture. I haven’t even started on the glosses yet. I thought urban decay had lost their magic, but apparently they just don’t use their magic for their palettes.
Nice 😀
These are so, SO much better than recent eyeshadow releases. I love UD’s softer/buttery/denser formula in general, but I don’t like when they’re so soft that they get powdery, crumbly, or sheer out.
Not the kind of colour I have on my blush radar, but it’s good to see solid consistency within this range.
So true! Consistency is underrated!
This blush is so pretty, goes very well with that Failbait Gloss!
Definitely! 😀
Yes!! This was one of the ones I wanted and I’m so happy to see an A rating! I’ve been waiting for something to splurge on beauty wise and I think it’ll be some of the UD blushes
.
Woohooo! 😀
Looks gorgeous!
Christine your blush is always applied so flawlessly, what is your secret?
What brush(s) do you use and what is your technique?
Hi Veronica,
I actually used twelve different brushes to apply the UD blushes for photos, and I honestly don’t remember which ones went with which blush!
GASPING at how lovely this blush is but when I read that Clinique Plum Pop is “more luminous” and since I love that luminosity in my blushes, I’ll stick with Plum Pop (and Down Boy, which I also have and rarely use).
Good call 🙂 It’s almost somewhere between Plum Pop and Down Boy with respect to the finish. I like my blushes more luminous, too, so the Clinique formula tends to win for me over these, even though they’re very nice!
I love it! So spring-y!
Yay!
So pretty and feminine! What a great collection.
Glad you like it!
As usual, the sheerness appeals, but I’ve got quite a few blushes on my wishlist at the moment. I think this one might go on the list, but with a question mark.
At least these are permanent – plenty of time to consider.
This one is still a bit too bright for me, but it’s very pretty!
I’m eyeing a few of these, as well as the Clinique Pops, and am sooo over the moon to see so many talc- & paraben-free formulas that are consistent, and have a myriad of gorgeous shades!
I swear, I thought spring was the season of blush, but this summer is proving blush-a-ful.
Lovely shade of pink. I have Naked on the Run, so I’m covered. I’m so glad to see a collection getting such good grades.
It’s SO close to that one, so you are definitely good!
How does this compare to Chanel’s Rose Initiale or Illamasqua’s Hussy?
Crush is much cooler-toned than both.
