MAC x Bao Bao Wan Collection has sold very quickly online, though there are a few pieces available scattered at various retailers. It launches in-stores on March 5th, though it is only available at select locations (and I don’t know which ones, so I highly recommend calling your location prior to heading over!). Edited: Updated with swatches of Burmese Kiss lipstick and Bao Bao’s Jewels Eyeshadow Palette!! 🙂

Can you please do a dupe list for Lavender Jade? I would love to see if there is anything out there close to it. I tried my hardest to get it and wasn’t able to. I’d love to know if there is anything available elsewhere to purchase that is similar! Thanks so much:)

Beautiful Swatches. Sheesh. I was thinking about getting Lavender Jade but nevermind now. It would be too much on my brown skin. Plus I am about tired how they describe shades. I looked up dirty mauve and I thought I could get away with it. But I am so glad I got Forbidden Sunrise. Oowee! That shade looks so juicy. Beautiful on WOC. Picked up Summer Opal too. Hopefully I’ll like it. Fingers crossed!

So far two of the lipsticks look very promising (love the colours!), but I still wish MAC didn’t come up with a million and one collections for March.
They just tend to release information all at once, even though the launch dates aren’t always the same day, but it can be overwhelming – same volume as just about every other month though, lol!
I wish MAC had given us more warning on these. I would have been all over Lavender Jade. Sunrise is pretty great, too. I hope there are some dupes for us.

I think I may have just fallen in love with the romantic breakdown lipstick. MAC always delivers with the quality of their lip products so I’m sure all of these are amazing as well.

I ordered the eyeshadow, romance breakdown lipstick, and the brown-green flecked nail polish. I’m still waiting for it to arrive. I’m a little disappointed the lipstick isn’t a little darker. I’m hoping the eyeshadow is more pigmented.

Finding these collections is getting more difficult! I’m only referring to online I’m not sure what will happen tomorrow. Nordstrom & bloomingdales never even had the purple lipstick or face powder available to buy. Macys had everything but their website was not functioning correctly until almost 11am on Monday. probably making people think the items were sold out. As far as cinderella the ONLY department store getting it is macys. I put off getting something so i could go to nords and see it in person to find out they aren’t getting it. Dillards isn’t getting either collection. I wonder why they don’t release things equally and why only some stores but not others.
I believe Nordstrom launched first, then MAC, and then Macy’s/Bloomingdale’s. Lavender Jade went very quickly, which isn’t a surprise (purple/lavender/coral do well).
I’m the crazy one that is up at 3am checking websites and buying. Lol
macys and bloom were 1st around 530-6am. I think mac went at 8am
i managed to get 2(1 for my daughter) one from mac and when macys fixed their glitch i was able to order but it was late in the morning. I’m more disappointed about cinderella! We are supposed to get 6-10in of snow tonight! I don’t know if I’m going to be able to make the almost 1hr drive to the mac store. am i that desperate for mac? Haha

Thanks for the swatches. 🙂 When I first read the description of Lavender Jade (Dirty Mauve with Gold Pearl) I was a little bummed about not being able to get my hands on it, but upon seeing swatches it looks similar to dodgy girl, so I think I will survive not having it. I think mac uses the word “pearl” pretty loosely.

Those matte lipsticks are downright fabulous with great packaging. I think I’ll skip, though (I’m sure they’re sold out anyway).
The packaging is neat – like Blue Brown pigment or Club eyeshadow in a velvety form.
I love the lip shades! The swatches almost make me with I’d taken the plunge on these but practically speaking…I doubt I’d wear any of them…
Ah, well, if you wouldn’t wear ’em, not worth the effort to track them down!
These are very pretty. But, I am not happy with the way Mac handled this collection. It’s not that fantastic to get upset about..Purple,orange,nude lipstick and a pink/coral highlight..all very dupable in permanent products. It’s very nice of you Christine to get what you could and provide reviews and dupes. I am seeing Brills from ColourPop maybe for Lavendar Jade(?). I know I have seen a bright orange in Mac’s permanent range. it’s almost like they pulled these from their permanent and renamed them and repackaged! oh well… On to the next one!

No, it’s not like Up the Amp. Just depends on whether you like lavender on you, I think! I have certainly seen NC35/NC40 skin tones rocking lavender.

If Mac could make that gold eyeshadow in the palette in a single that would be GREAT.
Oh and Mac seriously SERIOUSLY needs to quit putting out the same 5 shades over and over and over. If they want to re-do something so badly then they should release something different like the dazzle lipstick collection. I don’t want or need to feel compelled to buy something I technically already own just because it has new packaging… **siiiigh**

Burmese Kiss turned out to be much more red than I expected but it looks nice on you! I was a little tempted by Lavender Jade but I’m glad I skipped it. I already have Dodgy Girl and this looks even lighter and more pastel. I did order the beauty powder though. Hope I like it!
