Chanel Desinvolte (97) Rouge Coco Shine ($35.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “soft coral.” It’s a medium,c oral-orange with warm undertones and a soft shine. It is semi-sheer, though it tints the lips noticeably, and it is going to be a color easily impacted by your natural lip color. The color coverage is as expected (the Rouge Coco Shine formula is supposed to be sheer, hydrating, and shiny). It has a very soft, emollient consistency (as if it melts against the lips) that makes application effortless, but the wear time is a bit shorter at three hours. It was neither drying nor hydrating for me (and unfortunately, it should be hydrating). Too Faced Shimmering Spice Spice Baby (LE, $22.00) is more shimmery, darker. Chanel Boheme (91) (P, $34.00) is pinker. MAC Dreaming Dahlia (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Chanel Pygmalion (LE, $34.00) is very similar. Revlon Cruise Collection (P, $9.99) is more shimmery. Chanel Etourdie (98) Rouge Coco Shine ($35.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “soft shimmering raspberry.” It’s a soft, medium-dark pink with cool undertones and a very light pearl. It had semi-sheer color payoff that tinted the lips with a soft pink coloring, but it didn’t hide the natural lip color so this may look different on you, depending on your natural lip color. It had a really glossy shine with a higher slip consistency that was comfortable to apply and wear, but it only lasted for two and a half hours on me. I wore it twice (in a row), but it wasn’t hydrating on me. Bobbi Brown Raspberry Shimmer (1) (P, $26.00) is more shimmery. Bobbi Brown Pink Rose (LE, $25.00) is more opaque. Chanel Rendez-vous (87) (P, $34.00) is cooler-toned. Guerlain Madame Reve (862) (LE, $51.00) is darker, brighter. See comparison swatches/ view dupes.

I have to comment on your complexion, Christine. The lip colours are lovely but your face is glowing!! It’s airbrushed and flawless looking. Gorgeous. And i’m curious about the EL rose gold pencil, are you wearing it on your upper lids or did you just line the lower lashes (not waterline, i assume). Illumination at its best!

I think they look beautiful on you! I especially dig the second one, though if it was both comfortable and hydrating, that would make it seem a done deal. Not at this price. They can do better! I love Bobbi Brown’s creamy lippies, non- matte. They’re so comfortable and they wear really well! Next to that, Clinique’s long lasting Soft Shine lippies are amazing! Hydrating, comfortable, stay in place, wear well, easy to touch up, and the colors are great with extremely inexpensive prices! Even when compared to some drugstore brands! I’d go that fought for this type of look, color, and effect if anyone wa
Ted them to perform as they would hope! 😀 So pretty though! 😀

whoa-TYPOS! Dirty! Autocorrect is fantastic! ._.

I’d go that route for this type of look, color, and effect, if anyone wanted something to perform as well as they hoped these would! <– What that last bit was supposed to say. 🙂

Pretty, but I’ve been very disappointed with the wear time and pigmentation of this line. I tried Pygmalion, but I had to return it because it just didn’t have any lasting power at all.

I got the coral one. I also have pygmallion and I find (pyg) it to be pinker and more opaque. I think both colors look nice on you. The spring collections seem to come earlier each year, and I have only one think to say about that… Bring them on! I found holiday collections to be mostly disappointing this year!

I love the formula of these lipsticks, but I have to say that Too Faced’s are even better….not to mention cheaper. I’ve got several shades of this formula but will be buying Too Faced’s lipsticks from now on as they’re very nice on the lips, moisturizing and beautiful looking on.
