MAC Bred for Beauty Blush ($21.00 for 0.17 oz.) is described as a “mid-tone blue pink.” It’s a brightened, medium fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a matte finish. MAC Peaches & Cream (LE, $21.00) is warmer. Milani Love Potion (07) (LE, $7.99) is slightly brighter. Clinique Plum Pop (04) (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter. Clinique Berry Pop (03) (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, darker. NARS Coeur Battant (LE, $29.00) is cooler-toned, brighter. Tom Ford Beauty Narcissist (LE, $55.00) is brighter, more shimmery, cooler-toned. NARS Mata Hari (P, $29.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The texture of the blush was mostly soft, but it was also thin and somewhat powdery, which made it harder to apply to bare skin (the drier your skin, the harder it will be to apply), as it didn’t want to adhere to the skin. If you typically wear liquid or cream foundation, the slight dewiness of the foundation will help the blush to stick to the skin better. It’s not the most blendable blush, but I didn’t feel like it was impossible to blend. Even though it’s not quite intensely pigmented (because it doesn’t stick), the color can be packed on if desired. Once applied, the color wore well for eight hours before slightly fading.

Mac keep releasing collection after collection and nothing new. There is nothing special about this blush, you can get something like that at any drug store, without the high end price. I’d rather they have less collections with better quality and new products. Sometimes they have a lipstick release in many collections with different formula and other name, but everything has become so easy to dupe, come on MAC.
Thank you Christine for keeping us informed.

this is a nice color… but have never used bright cheek colors .. need to include one atleast in stash..
i think MAC has reduced the amount of their blushes. previously they were dealing for 6g worth of 22$…

So this one is an interesting situation, because it says “beauty powder blush,” which isn’t quite the same product as their regular blush. However, mine is a press sample so it’s possible that’s not accurate, because the press release would normally call that difference out.

I love the shade, but I like my blushes to be easy to blend out, so I’ll pass on this. Might try one of the Clinique ones. Or not, I have enough blushes, but when did that stop me. Either way, I like the colour oin you.

I was interested in this because I love this sort of shade…which probably explains why I’ve got 2 of the dupes and most likely a few others that are awfully similar as well, so much as it’s lovely, I will pass on this one.

Hi Christine,
Despite this looks very interesting, I’ll pass and take Peaches and cream instead which seems to have a better rating from your reviews. For the moment I’ll concentrate on clinique’s pop blushes..
