10 x Urban Decay Beached Eyeshadow Palette Look Ideas
Urban Decay Beached 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($34.00 for 0.32 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette with several neutrals and two pops of color in the form of blue. I think that there are a few looks to be created from the palette but the most mileage will be had when this palette is paired with other eyeshadows, particularly more matte/satin finishes as this palette is very frosted/metallic.
I created the look ideas around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.

I love seeing these quads you come up with!! I’ve been really enjoying these look idea posts, it’s making me want to go through my collection and come up with quads, too!
This is inspiring!
Really enjoy seeing these quads you come up with. Thanks Christine!
Ok, I admit I don’t really see how these are all really different looks. They all look what the palettw is – a variation on beach brown and blue. BUT I wish you would do posts like this a lot more often. Having jumped on the makeup bandwagon the past few years, I’ve accumulated quite a few 12 shade or more palettes, but I’ve realized I get overwhelmed quite easily and don’t have as many ideas compared to when I used to buy only singles or duos.
loving seeing these quad look ideas. would you consider doing them for the mothership palettes? with the recent sales, potentially quite a few of your readers could benefit from your creativity! while i love the colors individually, i always feel a bit lost when trying to decide on a look with my decadence palette! thank you.
I really love the way you do this Christine – it is so helpful and the combinations are fantastic. Thank you so much.
I’m really enjoying these types of posts. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your creativity Christine. I buy these palettes and then don’t know what to do with them. These posts spark ideas for me and help me just play.
Nice beachy, summery colors. The quads you came up with are really nice!
I have most of the colors, so I won’t be getting this palette. But, I will be getting one of the dupes for Plunge.
Do you think this palette would work ok with the Ultimate Basics Palette, Christine? I’m finding the mattes a bit boring on their own!
I don’t see why not!
