MAC Asian Flower Supreme Sheen Lipstick
MAC Seasonally Supreme Lipstick (Part 2)
As promised, here is a review for the remaining four shades from MAC Seasonally Supreme, which hits counters on August 11th and all shades join the permanent range. Each retails for $14.50 and contains 0.12 oz. of product. This post only looks at four of the twelve shades, and you can see the rest of the shades in this original review. The four include: Asian Flower (creamy lavender), Blossom Culture (soft pink with pearlized pigments), Sheer Mandarin (mid-tone yellow orange), and Supreme Style (light coral pink with pearlized pigments).
- Asian Flower is a fuchsia purple with pale silver micro-shimmer. It gives opaque color coverage, and it has a glossy shine. It’s much, much lighter than MAC Playtime. It is purpler than MAC Love Forever but less vibrant than Dolce & Gabbana Violet, MAC Petals & Peacocks, and MAC Florida.
- Blossom Culture is a rosy pink with a hint of coral and pale white micro-shimmer. The color coverage is nearly opaque, but a hint of my lips natural color peeks through. Giorgio Armani #507 is lighter and Lancome Fleur de Lis is a little brighter.
- Sheer Mandarin is a peach-tinged orange with a creamy finish and opaque color coverage. It is lighter and less brown compared to Cle de Peau Just Joey. MAC Tea Ceremony is a darker version of Sheer Mandarin.
- Supreme Style is a soft pink flecked with beige and champagne shimmer. It has a frostier finish and more of a shine than a glossy finish. MAC Gem of Roses is darker, MAC Ever Hip is lighter, an Chanel Jersey Rose is less opaque.
The formula is lightweight overall, but some of the creamier shades are thicker when worn (think Happy Hibiscus). I get an average of three hours of wear on lighter shades and up to six hours with really rich, bold shades (think Korean Candy). The color coverage is semi-opaque to opaque. These are vanilla-scented, but I did not detect any taste. I find the lighter shades have a tendency to settle into lip lines and the effect becomes more noticeable as they wear and fade.

Where to Buy: MAC Cosmetics on August 11th, $14.50 each
The Glossover
There are some inconsistencies in the formula, like unevenness and chalkiness appearing the lightest shades, while medium to dark shades highlight the formula in the best way. The lighter shades require more precision and time to apply to ensure even color coverage.

Product & Review FAQ
Where can I purchase it? How much is it?
MAC Cosmetics, August 11th, $14.50 each.
Is it limited edition?
No.
Any dupes?
See individual shade review.
How blossom culture looks on you is how i wished it looked on me:9 i ordered it and it looks a lot brighter on me and its very unflattering:(
Christine I'm a little confused :/ you state these are joining the permanent line but when I was at the Mac store today, they informed me these were limited edition. I also contact Mac and they said limited edition as well. Any idea? Thanks for you help!!
this lipstick formula looks really goopy to me, is it possible to apply these lipsticks so they're not so heavy?
Allura swatches made me hate Asian Flower.. But now you made me get excited again.. =D It's soo pretty!
Hey Christine, did you start shooting the pics differently? I like seeing a little more of you and some background too, like your other lip swatch pics :) Just giving you my thoughts :)
Wow, the texture of these do not look very nice on the lips. Patchy and gloopy and it looks like it accentuates any imperfection. If they don't look nice on your lips (which tend to make most lipsticks look lush), then I really don't have any hope for them! With all the sheer, glossy lipsticks that have come onto the market in the past season AND that perform well, for me there is no reason to buy these.
Hmmm. I thought I was gonna love Asian Flower more than I do... I think I might be able to skip it and save some $$$. Thanks!! :)
Asian Flower is gorgeous! Reminds me so much of Revlon's Colorburst lipstick in Lilac - I'm all for purple :D
Blossom Culture is gorgeous! I'm glad these aren't limited edition. You always have the best, most accurate swatches, Christine. They're extremely helpful, especially when you have to order the products online. I love your reviews!
im definitely feelin Asian Flower. reminds me of Playtime (from quite cute) which i am now out of. LOOOVE
Supreme Style, Blossom Culture, and Asian Flower are so pretty! I really love this set a lot more than the first set you swatched.
Oooh Asian Flower is the pink orchid I've been searching for! Really lovely shades. Also Miss Temptalia, I'm really looking forward to the pinks & mauves from the Covergirl Lip Perfection line-- will we be seeing swatches of those anytime soon? Thank you!
Oooh.. I like the Asian Flower and Sheer Mandarin. I'm a bit annoyed with myself that I missed Playtime, but Asian Flower looks like a great subsitute. I'm so glad they're not LE -- I have plenty of time to pick them up!
I'm definitely drawn to the Blossom Culture shade, which, by the way, looks awesome on you. I might have to pick this one up.
So glad these aren't LE. I really like Asian Flower and will pick it up some time, but it's really nice to know that there's no rush. Can you Back To Mac for these?
You are so right about the inconsistency! My favorite is Korean Candy from the first set of swatches. Christine, do you know if MAC is ever going to release Glamglass?
Some of the colors are very nice but these dry my lips terribly. Wish I could wear them, even with lip balm underneath they wrinkle my lips for some reason.
OMG I love Asian Flower! Def reminds me of Mac Petals and Peacocks, but like you said a little less vibrant. Still gorgeous! Which one is your fav out of the bunch?
