MAC Pressed Amber Mineralize Blush Swatches, Photos, Reviews
MAC Pressed Amber Mineralize Blush ($23.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “melange of nude, beige, and brown” that all comes together as a medium-dark, muted brown. It’s brown without being overly warm or dark–no chocolate, bronze, or the like here. It’s more aptly described a brown nude, I would say, because it retains a lot of the natural color found in the skin. The texture is like Feeling Flush, with a very soft, smooth powder without frost or glitter. It has a satin-like sheen that looks natural when applied to the skin. This product could benefit from improved wear, though, as I do find it fades faster than the average blush–I get around six hours of wear (tested this shade yesterday) before it begins its fading decline.
It reminded me of a darker, less orange version of MAC Peachtwist. It doesn’t have the plum notes that MAC Darkly My Dear has. It ends up being closer to MAC Prim & Proper but a little darker, browner. It’s also comparable to Korres #15 Natural Blush without any gold sheen/shimmer. It’s darker and less pink compared to MAC Eversun.

| I know that when I first started getting into makeup, the concept of brown blush was totally lost on me, but it's one of my go-tos for a quick touch of warmth and color without being bronzy or pink. I could see this shade being a sleeper hit. | |

When i saw the swatch i was like eh! …but when on you…its gorgeous!
So pretty on you! I’ve never done a brown blush but you may be changing my mind
. Looks particularly good with the grey eyeshadow and pinky lip colour.
Interesting, but as Feeling Flush – too dark for NC10 skin, isn’t it?
Used lightly, it would be fine!
I love your eye makeup in this picture…what did you use? can you do a tutorial?
It’s just Hint of Sapphire.
From your (always helpful) swatches, Hint of Sapphire is really lacking in all elements as a mineralized eyeshadow but somehow I like how it looks on you here!
It is weird – it just seems to lose all of its cool, multi-colored majesty when applied
it looks really nice on you the color suits perfectly!
Hi Christine!
Are any of these MSFs like So Ceylon? That is my absolute fav MSF and would love something similiar!
Didnt like this in the original photos, didnt like the swatch, love it on you. Beautiful! It makes me want your skin tone! lol
it’s really pretty..I can’t wait for this collection
it’s really gorgeous..I can’t wait for this collection
Christine, do you think it would suit a NC33-40? I love how it looks on you, but I’m afraid it might make my cheeks look dirty.
NC35, not 33. -_-
I think it would work!
You look so pretty in the full face shot!
Do you think this could end up looking dirty…I’m nw20-25? It sure looks gorgeous on you though!
I could see that it might – I think it should be OK but there’s a chance.
Christine: Do you think I could wear this as a Bronzer for a more natural look?
You could
Gorgeous! I love it on you! Do you think it would work on an NW15 with very pink undertones?
I think it could! The lack of orange in it makes me hopeful.
Is this anything like Gold Spill MSF? Color wise? I know it’ll be WAY less glittery & chunky.
Can this blush be used as a bronzer for people with lighter skin?? I’m nw20 so i feel like as a blush it would be to dark but as bronzer it might work?
It could be used as a bronzer!
Christine! It looks gorgeous on you!!! You look beautiful!
I love blushes in this color family! I just wished I liked blushes that aren’t matte.
I like how the pattern makes it look like Jupiter…. lol… being silly
Hey, you’re right! It does look like Jupiter; now if it only had a few rings around it….
So cute! Your eyebrows are almost exactly like mine and I think they are my best feature, love them!I like mineralize blushes and this one looks great on you.
Everything looks good on you!
it suits u very well!
its so gorgeous on u, too bad im nc25 haha
Looks gorgeous on you Christine! I didn’t think i’d go for that, but now.. do you think i’d work for NW20?
And thanks for all of the hard work!
I think it could!
Could this be a similar dupe to Gold Spill MSF? Obviously with less glitter & chunkiness…
I think this is my favorite of the powders in this collection, yum.
Oh I’m excited for this as prim and proper is my favourite everyday blush which I picked up last year based on your review
hey! do you think i could use this as a contouring powder? I have super fair asian skin (i’m fairer than NC15) with pink undertones!
thanks Christine! can’t wait for jealousy wakes drop into my mailbox
Possibly!
I think this may be the perfect blush for us NC45 girls. Just a hint of warmth to the skin. What do you think Christine?
I love Prim and Proper and am bringing it with me to swatch lol I just hope that this is still different enough to justify getting it.
Do you think this would work for someone NC45-50?
I think it might!
So I don’t get it… how come every color looks good on you Christine? Beautiful!
I wonder how does Pressed Amber compare to NARS Douceur??
Douceur has more rose/plum – it’s not really brown
that’s a great shade when you want your lips and/or eyes to do the talking, but you want a finished, healthy look! super pretty on you!
Do you think this will work on NC20?
Just looking at this before the swatch it looks like Refined MSF!
I really like some of the Mineralize blushes and skinfinishes coming out…but something in them and really all blushes makes my cheeks so itchy. Any idea what could be causing that?
Bismuth I believe is what can do it!
Is Bismuth universal in blush or can it be found without?
I imagine there are blushes with and without it, but it is a common ingredient!
I’m really loving this! I’m starting to get into brownish blush now and this is gorgeous!
I love the colors but all the blushes look the same on your skin
Hi, Christine!
I’m from Brazil and I just want to say how much I love your blog! I’m always visiting before I buy anything! Congratulations for just a wonderful job! I thank you for helping, even though you’re not aware of it! (I apologize for the bad english!)
XOXO Kamilla
Thank you so much, Kamilla!
I’m sorry if you mentioned it already, but whats on your lips? its gorgeous
Gem of Roses
you look very very pretty in this pic!!! love the colors, love your expression and you are playful… nice!!!!
when are you going to have pictures of you with the other blushes?
i already have darkly my dear so should i skip this one then?
I’ve just bought it! I haven’t pianned to’ buy anything from this collection but the texture really impressed me! It seems like silk!! I’m nc20 and i’ll use it as my summer bronzer. Hoola was starting to’ look dull on me..
HEy Christine! Do you know how close this color is to Tarte’s amazonian clay blush in Exposed? Thank you!
I don’t have that, sorry!
is pressed amber similar to harmony blush? thx
It’s neutral, instead of being warm.
