Zoya Bobbi Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches

Zoya Bobbi Nail Lacquer
Zoya Bobbi Nail Lacquer

Zoya Bobbi Nail Lacquer ($8.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “full-coverage, hot magenta pink foil metallic.” It’s a bright fuchsia pink with cool undertones and a foil finish. China Glaze 108 Degrees is less metallic/foil-like. China Glaze Endurance is darker, not as metallic. Essie Super Bossa Nova is bolder, brighter, and not metallic. Zoya Izzy is darker, less metallic. See comparison swatches here.

Zoya has such a fabulous metallic formula! Seriously, they’re so easy to apply and are very consistent overall in quality. Bobbi had opaque color coverage with two coats, and it dried down faster than the average polish and dried with a foiled sheen–some shine, but there’s a flatness to it that is just like tin foil. There were no visible brush strokes, and the consistency of the formula wasn’t too thick or too thin, so it applied fluidly and evenly without bubbling or pooling along the edges of the nail. I normally get a week of wear out of Zoya’s formula.

I love Zoya’s shades but they always seem to chip really easily, like the day after I apply it I’ve already got chipping. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

This looks very pretty…in the bottle. I don’t know what it is about metallic finishes, but I just don’t like how it looks on me. The silver in metallic polishes either makes the finish look too bright or the color too cool toned.

Christina,

I’ve noticed that you have consistently beautiful nails. I am one of those people who has thin, peeling nails that either crack or curve once they get past the end of the finger. I was wondering if one of the questions could ask what people use to grow their nails successfully. (I don’t have a vitamin deficiency and take a multivitamin and vitamin D3 daily. There is no apparent medical reason for my problem.

Thanks for your consideration.
