MOTHER OF PEARL,
This is a new HG!- For a subtle (but not sheer) neutral-skin toned pearl for work
- or layered up to look glamorous.
- It doesn't chip so much as erode away very naturally. As it sheers down your natural nail starts to show but still retains a sheen.
- the pearl finish is generally good at hiding any nailbed imperfectionsApplication wise:
- it's hard to go wrong, it's thin (never goopy) but maneuverable and self-smoothing.
- If you're in a rush, one quick layer can get you out the door. 2nd coat not required to look polished.

As part of the new year I thought I would start doing nail polish posts to share some of my favourite brands and colours with you! The first one I want to share with you is one of my absolute favourites and it is the Zoya nail polish in the colour Odette.I love the name for this nail polish and I feel like it really does capture the colour. It reminds me of Odette from the movie The Swan Princess for some reason which really gives the colour a princess feel to it for me.On Zoya's website the colour is described as a full-coverage, sultry orchid maroon cream colour! It's in the colour family of nude and pink and it has a cream finish with a cool tone, it has an intensity of 5 which is full opacity. This is my go to nail polish when I just want to quickly put something on, it never fails to look amazing and it just seems to go with basically anything I own.

I adore this new nude/mauve shade. I found it to be easy to apply, quick drying. I bought it during the Zoya promo so it was a great value. My disappointment is the it started chipping a little the next day & a lot by day 3. But I just love the color so I'll try a different base & top coat.

Only going to write a review for the brand in general. With a great variety of shades and finishes, and the added bonus that all of their seasonal collections seem to get added to the general catalog, Zoya is easily my favorite nail polish brand. And I have a hell of a lot of nail polish to compare it to! Add in the fact that they have a lot of great online promotions to suck you in, if you like polish, I'd highly recommend trying the brand if you haven't already. (Just be prepared to have Seche Vite topcoat not work with it--I haven't had any problems, but I'm in the minority for that.)
