YSL Passionnee (6) Blush Volupte Review, Photos, Swatches
YSL Passionnee (6) Blush Volupte
YSL Passionnee (6) Blush Volupte ($47.00 for 0.31 oz.) is a medium, warm-toned pink with golden shimmer and a soft, frosted finish. It is a very dupable shade, though this variation is more muted/less warm-toned than others in the family. Laura Mercier Golden Pink (LE, $35.00) is a cream product, lighter. Revlon Racy Rose (008) (P, $9.99) is warmer. Tarina Tarantino Feather (P, $25.00) is lighter. Too Faced Something About Berry (P, $30.00) is darker, brighter. Charlotte Tilbury Love Glow (P, $40.00) is slightly cooler-toned. NARS Orgasm (P, $29.00) is pinker, darker. Milani Dolce Pink (P, $7.99) is more shimmery. MAC Springsheen (P, $21.00) is darker. MAC Legendary (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery. Guerlain Peach Boy #2 (P) is similar. Guerlain Blush G (LE, $65.00) is more shimmery. Benefit Bella Bamba (P, $28.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Last week, I reviewed Singuliere (1). Passionnee (6) had better color payoff, but the texture was a wee bit powdery, though the powder itself had a silky, finely-milled quality to it. The finish is more shimmery with this particular shade, which still reads as luminous and glowing on the skin and doesn’t emphasize pores. It had mostly opaque color payoff, which can easily be applied less intensely or blended down from initial application due to the softness of the powder. This shade wore well for almost eight hours on me but faded a little faster than the first shade I tried.

You are so pretty Christine!
Aw, thanks Meg!
So pretty! I haven’t tried any YSL blushes, I might give this one a go! Such a pretty pink x
elÃn x
Let me know if you try it, Elin!
Pretty! Though I also think I liked Singuliere just a tad more. Just a tad though… 🙂
Do you think you’ll try out this new formula?
I’m loving that these blushes are a bit on the sheerer side, but have such a luminous look to them.
They have a nice finish!
Beautiful shade and it’s nice to know that it won’t show pores that much because my pores are gigantic! lol. Thanks for the swatch and I really love when your hair is down! <3
Happy to help, Laarni!
For that money id want the blush to be perfect balance of colour texture and pay off!
I bet that balance probably differs from person to person a lot, lol! I prefer a fairly pigmented blush that’s not like NARS Exhibit A intense but not one I have to really layer.
Gee! I know what you mean 🙂 I don’t mind a sheer blush but the texture should be soft and easy ti pick up! I shouldn’t have to fight to get some color off my brush!
One of these blushes will be on my Christmas wish list (or the after Christmas wish list). I just don’t know which one! Might have to just swatch them in a big ol’ store and see.
Can’t wait to see which one you go for!
This looks beautiful on you! I wish it was a little more pigmented though
Thank you, Fancie!
Glad I didn’t get this one or it would have been sent back anyway! It’s so hard to tell from the color selection on sephora’s site.
Agreed! Those swatches are off!
Even in your photos, Christine! I absolutely trust the accuracy, and I nearly didn’t even bother to look at the swatches. It looks sooo dark & intense in the product photo, but the swatches are so wearable. I really like both this one and the previous one you reviewed, but both will have to wait a bit… I still need to investigate the Charlotte Tilbury line.
Glad it’ll work better for you once you saw it swatched!
I can imagine how perfect your skin is and you make every product look and feel beautiful 🙂
this one is not an exception … loved it
Aw, thank you Rashmi!
This is really pretty, but I’m still holding out hoping you will review the Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette, cause man I want that.
Hopefully it’s good.
The luminous finish is really pretty on you! I think this might be a little light for my complexion though.
It might be, unfortunately!
You know I never think about YSL for blush. I don’t know why. When I think of the brand it’s mostly lip products. I should go swatch some of these in store. 🙂
You should check ’em out!
I like how it’s subtly warm. Good for us pale cool toned people that still want to warm up a bit!
It would be nice on you cooler skin tones for sure!
This is so pretty and glowy. This line of blushes have all been so pretty.
The finish seems to be nice!
I really like the pinkgoldpeach (!) colour of this blush – it somehow reminds me of all those Paper Roses type eyeshadow shades that have been crossing my radar recently, but in less glittery blush form! I can’t wait til we get these here (if we get these here) so I can have a little swatchfest…
I can definitely see the resemblance to Paper Roses!
It’s funny, because I picked this one to try because I don’t have any dupes for it- I don’t have a single one of those you’ve listed and nothing else like it in my collection. Somehow, I’ve just missed all these shades.
I really love the formula and I find it’s not a problem to get the colour true to pan on my skin. (Pale girls get all the breaks like that.) I really love the formula and I’m definitely looking to pick up more. FYI, this is a beautiful shade on you.
Nice! So glad you were able to snag it. Even better that you have no dupes 😉
OMG! This colour is absolute perfection 🙂 LOVE how it looks on you!
Thank you, Stephanie!
