YSL for Fall 2009 – Frivolous Pink Rouge Volupte Swatches, Photos, Review

YSL Fall 2009 Collection Sneak Peek – Part 1

YSL for Fall 2009 made our hearts flutter with its stunning promotional imagery. I’m not shocked, either! With the introduction of four new shades of Rouge Volupte, stunning quints, and new Gloss Volupte? I knew this collection was going to cause a stir. Today, let’s preview Frivolous Pink Rouge Volupte ($34.00) — my very favorite lipstick formula — which is a gorgeous shade of milky pink that runs just a touch cool, but it’s not nearly as cool or as pale as Lingerie Pink, but it is not as bright as Fetish Pink. It applies smoothly, evenly, and feels moisturizing as you wear it. This is one of the creamiest lipsticks I’ve had the pleasure of using.

i looked at the pic & thought the same thing. “this is like a toned down saint germain”. now granted its not toned down all that much, but i feel like its less milky than saint germain…more wearable. I def. like this color a lot & def more so than saint germain.

I love it on you!

I just got my 3rd YSL rouge volupte in #4 yesterday. It’s my 3rd one as I also have the #10 and the #17. I love how pigmented and creamy the formula is. It’s my HG lipstick most definitely!

Awww, I would love one of these lipsticks. I wish I could find them at a counter near me! This one is gorgeous but it reminds me a whole lot of MAC Creme Cup which looked just awful on me (apparently I’m freakishly warm-toned).

Gorgeous! I hope it looks good on me. Christine, can you get a skin swatch and lip swatch of Spicy Pink too? I can’t wait to see it.

thank goodness i thought they were limited and i don’t think my wallet could handle buying multiple backups for this!! 🙂

Unfortunately, I just have the month it’ll be on counter. It’s definitely hit or miss, too, because I’ve been to one store with it out and another without when it comes to high-end brands. I’d call your local YSL counter and ask them to call you when it is on-counter.

when I saw this post a while ago I fell in love, and I finally ordered it thanks to 20% off with the sephora VIB code. i already have the nude #1 shade and it’s perfect, so i’m really excited for this pink. thanks for feeding my makeup addiction Christine!

I hope you can read this as this review is what? two years ago. anyhow,

Yay! I finally bought my first volupte after months of fantasizing in this very page, and I am on my way of buying my second on thursday… It is because of you Ms. Christine. =D I am planning to buy #8. This kinda emphasize the wrinkles in my lips, so I am planning also to purchase YSL lipgloss. Can you help me? What YSL gloss should I buy for #8 fetish pink, and perhaps on #13 peach passion as well. Thanks…

Btw, this is my first time commenting. I was just contented before in reading your reviews and other’s opinions. Now that I jump headfirst in the very confusing world of make-up. I consider you my guide. since you converted me in the first place. “o) haha Please help!
