WKW for shu uemura: Dance in Glitter False Eyelashes

These are absolutely gorgeous, and I’m working through ideas on the right look to wear them with, because they’re so extravagant, I want something equally extravagant to pair them with! Which leads me to this question…

What would you wear these with?

Holy whoa. Awesome.

Well, even though the first instinct is “dressy,” I think they’re gonna look a little cheap with a cocktail dress or anything fancier. They’re pretty, but I don’t think they’ll go with a really classy outfit.

So.

I think you go the opposite direction. I think you pair these with some low rise bell-bottoms, a dark vintage tee, some bright bangles, jewel-toned nails, and you go all out on the eye makeup…but keep color simple. A purple smoky eye, maybe. If you can get away with berry gloss, do it. I think you go slightly funky, a little boho…and those lashes will be smokin’ hot.

Yes, but how often do you get to do a full on ball gown? Im enslaved to costume du rigieur a dozen nights a Winter and after I do hair and get into the dress full of color fancy lashes arent happening! I’m thinking they were created with the classic Little Black Dress in mind. Cocktail dress, no frou frou stuff.

Ooooh, these are so very pretty. I think I’d wear these with a light smoky eye done in smoky lavender/mauve, grey, and maybe a blue of smoky blue or slate. Soft pink lip, tiny bit of color on the cheeks… So dreamy!

WOW! Those are so fun – I adore Shu lashes, I think I have 4 pairs. I wouldn’t go too extravagant with the rest of the makeup since it might be going into some trannylicious territory (not that there’s anything wrong with drag makeup – they’re way better at makeup than I am! Just assuming that’s not the look you’re going for!) IBlack liner, something shimmery and light on the lids and maybe a bold lip? Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I’m a huge Wong Kar Wai fan so I’m really looking forward to these lashes! My favorite movie of his is probably 2046, although Chungking Express comes in close!

I can see a black dress, or dark green, with a bit of shimmer or sparkle, not a lot – a messy pile of curls with loose tendrils, minimal jewelery.

The dress is a fitted bodice, knee length or longer.

Makeup is shimmery lid in green or violet, crease up to orbital bone a shade darker – jewel like, clean brow highlight (nothing frosty). Nude-ish mouth like Cherish or hug me…. wish I could paint the picture on here!! LOL

I’m thinking Sugarpill! Silvery and cool-toned pigments or winter-themed colors… I have brows on the thicker side (like you), and i’d actually consider covering them up and drawing them in a little bit higher… or using MAC espresso to make them longer and give an illusion of a higher arch.

I’d love to wear this in one of my fairy style coords with an 80’s influence- big pastel teased wig with sparkly pink eyeshadow! Or go the sleeker route and wear this with a more sparkly goth coordinate~

a simple make up so these will be in the spotlight 🙂 Deborah lipmanns stairway to heaven on the nails and outfitwise…a white tuxedo or a gorgeous white dress, the lbd, only in white 🙂 sequins are allowed to be a true ice queen 🙂

Wow, $75 for lashes I’d hardly ever wear? I don’t think so. I could just buy drugstore falsies and apply my own glitter. Also, I don’t really care for the extra long ends either. Meh…
