That’s difficult bc I used up so many. MUFE Excessive Lash. Tarte Lights, Camera and Lashes. It Cosmetics Superhero. Clinique High Impact Black Mascara. Loreal Lash Paradise. There were others but I cannot think of them off the top of my head. I just didn’t use one mascara and I’ve been working on using up product!

DHC Double Protection mascara. I first purchased it because Emma Watson noted it is was her favorite in an Into the Gloss’ The Top Shelf interview. Of course, I couldn’t resist trying anything Emma calls her favorite. It’s got such a nice fine wand–perfect for lengthening my lashes without making them too thick (which isn’t always flattering on my hooded eyes). It’s a tubing mascara, so it comes off pretty easily, too.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Waterproof. I really wanted to love the Nars Climax one, because it did go on beautifully, but no matter what I did, it always smudged on me. Lash Paradise never lets me down 🙂 and it’s at a great price point.

I think I actually purchased one mascara this year, the NYX Worth the Hype (which actually is not worth the hype, although good for natural looking lashes) which I used for 3 months and trashed it. The rest of the year I just used free sample (or Sephora perks) mascaras; minis/sample sizes I use for 2 months (1 month for those tini MAC samples, I always get if I can the False Lash one, it’s great mascara). Most of the sample were better than the NYX one 😆 .
My goal for 2019 is to not purchase any mascara, but rely only on samples. It continues to amaze me how I got to try as free sample/perk many mascara raved this year and old time favorites. 😀

I tend to use more than one mascara on the daily. I like to mix mascara to get the desired effect. One thing that remains pretty constant though, is I use Cover Girl Super Sizer in the waterproof formula, every day. If I could only choose one mascara it would be CGSS. I go through a few tubes a year. I have been using the combo of Thrive/Benefit Roller Lash and CGSS for most of the past several months.

The only waterproof mascara that I use is the Cover Girl Super Sizer and I apply that last. I have very hooded eyes but luckily my lids are relatively dry so that helps but almost every mascara gives me raccoon eyes except the Cover Girl so I end with that to kind of seal everything else in. Today I just used the Thrive and the Cover Girl and no raccoon eyes. When I use all three then I use the Roller Lash first because it tends to lift my lashes and fans them out. I follow with the Thrive and then the Cover Girl. I know it is a lot but I do like my lashes to really show. Hope that helps. If you don’t mind waterproof mascara’s then I would give the Cover Girl a try. They just came out with a Cover Girl Super Sizer with fibers that is suppose to give you more length so I picked it up but don’t see any fibers and doesn’t even give me the length the original does. Hope that helps.

I end up going between Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir, Milk’s Kush, Dior Diorshow (great mascara, hate the fragrance), and Hourglass Caution Extreme. I have so many sample mascaras so I only purchased Marc Jacobs & Milk. I’ll continue to buy MJ, but I still have so many samples that I won’t need to buy any more mascara anytime soon.

Lashfood, no contest whatsoever. I love this mascara so much! Although I did recently tried the Lash Princess one from Essence and paired it with the Lashfood on nights out, love it! My sister did get me the Glossier one for the holidays so I am going to give that one a go soon and see.

This year I mostly used up samples and gifties…It Cosmetics Superhero (loved it), and Hello Lashes(no love here), Better than Sex(didn’t want to like it, but I did.), the Essence one in the pink tube, I Love extreme lashes (was not too bad for the price) and now I am using CoverGirl SuperSizer (not to bad, and now cruelty free).

Surprisingly for me, Revlon’s Volumazing. I never liked Revlon mascaras before because I wanted Extra-Extra volume, but lately I’ve been going much lighter on mascara and find the Revlon stays put all day so I don’t end up with black smudges under my eyes. It’s my daily go-to.

Lancome Definicils in dark brown. I tried Clinique High Impact mascara early in the year but felt it was damaging my lashes, so went right back to Definicils that I’ve been using for last few years.

I tried a lot better ts smudged on my undereye late in the day. Lash paradise was nice but dried out. Loved a variety of the Essence brand mostly wore them the most.

Got Lancôme Monseuir Big kinda lived it better and then a mini of Hourglass Extreme Caution blew me away and I found true love.

The combination of Buxom Big Tease and Maybelline Total Temptation. I love the way it makes my lashes look. right now I’m going through a tube of Climax right now. Not bad but it doesn’t meet that standard.

Lash Princess from Essence. I also dabbled in Too Faced Better Than Sex. I just ordered MAC False Lashes so maybe that will be my go-to this year. Mascara is probably my stand alone stranded on a remote island must have product — if I put on mascara and my nails are done, I’m good to go.

Thrive Cosmetics, Hourglass Caution, byTerry Twist and Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir. These mascaras never flake, smear or give me raccoon eyes.

Like a few others throughout the comments, majority of time using minis, point perks, and gifts with purchase. Size great as there are always ones that impress. For ones that are a personal miss, I am not in a long term “relationship”, especially dislike spikey wands.

My must-have is not a mascara but Estée Lauder’s Little Black Primer. On no makeup days a couple coats replaces mascara. Great to add extra volume and when used again after mascara it sets lashes. After a couple days, formula performs better and good for solid 3 months.

Bad Gal Bang (Benefit) – went through 2 minis which is huge for me, I don’t wear mascara every day. This one’s my Holy Grail now, supplanting Roller Lash.

Essence Lash Princess (the green one) or Catrice Glamour Doll (or Glam and Doll) in the waterproof version, both inexpensive and really popular here in Germany.

Silvia Avatar

Princess mascara from Essence, Scandalous from Rimmel all these give me eye lashes that I can notice. Princess are a bit moist but good I keep a few brushes from well cleaned old/expired mascaras to separate my lashes out after applying if I find too wet. A few from Maybelline & Cover Girl next need to try L’Oréal paradise.
