Viseart Cashmere palette, Clinique Fig Pop (not my smartest choice ever, it’s a little too peachy for the eye look), KA Starlight in cheeks/ Candlelight on nose/ cuspids bow/ over brows. Decided to line with Stila Moray, one that I never reach for and it’s very pretty! My fave CG Lashblast mascara and I will probably finish off with one of my UD Naked glosses after breakfast. Also just got a box of Illamasqua polishes from Hautelook yesterday so I painted my nails with Jo’Mina and it’s such a fun color!

Base: After frustrating the hell out of myself over the last few weeks with my foundation arsenal (with better lighting in new makeup station super annoyed to find so many of my yellow based foundations turn ruddy orange) . Right now I’m loving a mix of IT cosmetics CC cream in shade Light blended with 1 or 2 drops of GA Maestro glow in shade 4. The GA product is weird (I’m assuming the sunscreen is to blame) and turns the mix darker, then lighter after application which works for me. I’m also reloving NARS tm in Alaska with Tom Ford stick foundation in Fawn layering on areas where I need a bit more cover. La Mer powder (still my holy grail).
Cheeks: Kevyn Aucoin cream blush in Nuella with GA fluid tint #11 layered on top.
Eyes: NYX Milk with MAC 217. Too Faced chocolate bar white chocolate as base, salted caramel on upper crease, semi sweet in deeper crease and lower lash, cherry cordial (my favourite shadow ..wish it had better staying power) in outer vee and lining lower lash. Champagne on lid. Colorpop liners the LE icy purple on waterline and Best O on upper lashes. This combo really packs a punch on my green hazel eyes.
Lips: TF Vladimir with a dab of OCC lip tar in Disintegration blended

Yesterday was Barberry with old Dior modulation in blue cheek duo, the purpler side. Eyes were Nyx and MUFE lavenders, MJ 20 lilac in the crease, Nyx plum and Ulta raisin pencil for def (thanks again) with plum bad gal masc. different enough from the usual reds, brown reds, taupes that it got comments/compliments. Maybe bec it was shimmery? IDK if there’s m/u today or not or whether I’ll go to day job. Job is flexible, but Mondays off (holiday in mass) screw me up. Maybe I’ll stay home and do drab greens with olive oil (thanks yet again, readers) and barely green mascara, make you mine…..I’d much rather think about m/u than work. BTW, thanks, C, for Make You Mine. It’s always the most pleasant surprise, and makes one realize how much of a boon healthy looking blush can be. I really ought to wear blush all the time, even without makeup. Age needs brightening.

Yesterday, I wore shadows from the CoverGirl Nudes Trunaked Eye Shadow Palette, Burberry Cashmere Concealer, my current favorite Lancome BB Cream mixed with L’Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation, Pacifica mascara, Becca Snapdragon Luminous Blush, and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder. I don’t know yet what I’m going to wear today!
So I didn’t go to work….did Make You Mine with Catrice Brown Town (sheer nude slightly puce brown that would look different on all people) with lots of eye layers, since Stark et al looked too yellow at first. Added MJ 20 tawny apricot for base, bisque for (pseudo) brow bone, and moss green shimmer for accent, with Ulta olive oil liner. No shimmer, when blended. MUFE dk green masc. Pretty fally, but it’s like early Nov. here. Makeup prevailed over work. Oh, well, there’s always Wednesday.

Nars sheer glow foundation in gobi, hourglass ambient lighting powder in diffused and radiance (as a bronzer), makeupgeek havoc eyeshadow & some transition shades from the tarte tartelette in bloom palette, mark Jacob blacker liquide and pencil eyeliner, benefit roller lash mascara, nyx liquide suede in sandstorm.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation, UD matte lipstick in 1993…and because I was running behind today, I went with UD Naked on the Run for just about everything else. It’s my go-to no-brainer palette (along with the Tarte round palettes) when I need to look put together but don’t have time to worry about what goes with what or to be as creative as I’d prefer. I used 4 shades of shadow (including the one that can be used as a shadow or a highlight, which I used for both purposes), the bronzer, the blush, the liner that comes with it (Stag), and UD Perversion mascara.
After so many years of trying new foundation every month on the quest for something perfect, I just this week went back to Estee Lauder Double Wear. It’s so amazing, covers well, and the shade range is phenomenal.

Been really loving a base of KVD Bow ‘N’ Arrow liquid lip stick with Haze by NYX on top. I’ve been calling it Mummy Brown. It seems to go really well with everything and isn’t a color I’ve been seeing (yet). For shadows I’ve been enjoying extra dark smoky eyes with just a hint of color (usually teal or gold).

How do you like Reserve your Cabana? I purchased it bc I saw it as a dupe for Mary Lou-Manizer, but have yet to actually use it.

I love Reserve Your Cabana, but I don’t consider it a dupe for Mary Lou-Manizer (at least not on me). I find Mary Lou to be much more intensely shimmery and golden. I love to highlight with Mary Lou, but I’d never use it over my entire face. I do use Reserve Your Cabana all over my face.
I have very fair skin, so it actually does add a little bit of color and warmth to my skin.

Genevieve, how are you liking that foundation? I’ve been curious about it for awhile, but I’ve been afraid it might creep into all my dents and divots. Are you getting good results with it?
I am personally liking it because it gives medium to full coverage for the day. It has a pump – which is great and you only need one pump to cover your face. It is creamier and perhaps thicker than what I am used to. However one pump of the foundations goes a long way. It does last the day.
I have a few lines around my chin area and I have found that it doesn’t settle into these any more than any other foundation and they all do.
It would be best to try it (if you can go to the shops minus foundation!) on one side of your face to see how it works. Good luck!
