They’re not really palettes but I can’t “not” mention Chanel’s Empreinte du desert (I’m sure I’m not the only one) and Dior’s Bonne Etoile. For actual full sized palettes, ABH’s Mario palette (which I have and love) and her Self-Made palette, which I never got and very much regret missing out on. Also, the first Vice palette – I think I’d have loved that one!

A couple of years ago I bought the Bonne Etoile off ebay and actually didn’t really use it for awhile. Dragged it out last summer and haven’t stopped using it since. It would be perfect for you Mariella.
However, I also have the Dior Jardin’s palette and it is actually quite similar to the Bonne Etoile in the key shades of the green and teal. So that might be an alternative for you, if you can get it.

Genevieve – I bought Bonne Etoile when it first released (about 100 years ago!) but nearly missed out on it because my regular sales assistant at the Dior counter went on vacation. It really is a fabulous quint and I don’t know why they didn’t make it permanent. I think it was released back in the days when many (most?) of Dior’s permanent e/s quint offerings were of pretty dismal quality so there was room for something this good in the permanent collection.

Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass. It’s an amazing palette that was a little ahead of it’s time. It has the capability to do warm and cool toned looks. Super natural to wild looks. It’s great! I use almost every color in the palette (except the greens and light blue). Salazam Grum is my favorite.

I would love to edit it a bit. Update the formula of a few shades and replace the dark purple with UD Backfire, and one of the greens with UD Haight, Deep End or Loaded. But I would repurchase if the released it again without changes.

I got the last one at the dept. store here that carries Dior; the SA who was supposed to call me when it came in went on vacation and it’s just good luck that I checked because I’d have hated missing out on this beauty. Even owning it, I still wish I could replace it in the event that I use it up. Every fall – that’s when I use it most – I thank my lucky stars (pun intended) that I got it.

As I’ve said before, Genevieve, it’s like we’re living parallel lives on opposite sides of the equator! Our colouring couldn’t be more different but we love a lot of the same products!

Anastasia Mario. The only makeup item I’ve regretted NOT purchasing (in sharp contrast to the 100 things I’ve regretted purchasing).

Just my two cents but as nice as the ABH Mario palette is, don’t regret missing out on it. I recently sold mine because I got bored with it. It’s really not that unique and I have better quality palettes. I did like it, but I certainly haven’t missed it since getting rid of it.

ShariP Avatar

I agree Christina. Quality is there, but I always have to pull mattes from another palette….plus it’s a bit too warm toned for me, but I still love it. I don’t think I’d miss it if something happened to it.

Thanks, I too felt a certain regret on the ABH palette, especially since I’m not as much as a fan as most seem to be about ABH palettes, for example I DO NOT have Modern Renaissance, “gasp”! LOL!

I knew that would be your answer!

I will have to go with ABH x Mario palette. I just think it’s beautiful. The shimmers especially are stunning. I have not been able to dupe Marina perfectly. I was able to get my hands on the Bad Habit Artistry palette which is a dupe, but the quality and everything is just not the same. It’s doable, but I’m just selfish!

I don’t know. I try not to pine after long and gone products bc 1. They are always releasing new things and 2. You can find similar products I guarantee already in your collection. I know a lot of people will say the ABH X Mario but tbh I had that in my hand and I’m glad I didn’t buy bc I so can dupe that my collection 5 times over. Bronzes, olives and gunmetal grey. I got that. Too Faced Gingerbread. It’s a warm toned palette with a burgundy. You don’t have that? I don’t need. I need to use what I have and already love. Nope cannot think of anything. Sorry

Agreed! I purchased the Kevyn Aucoin Nude Pop palette, and that’s why I won’t buy the MJ palette (that and the Sultry palette by ABH). I just found out the KA palette has been discontinued and I was devastated, even though I have a like new one at home, lol.

Seraphine Avatar

ABH Sultry is the other one I was obsessing over for so long! But I finally got over it and don’t care about it anymore.

I just looked up that KA Nude Pop palette and it’s beautiful! My bank account is glad it’s discontinued (lol).

This was a more recent one that I hesitated on: MAC Electric Wonder Natural Vice. Love the packaging and the color selection. Once I finally swatched in store, it was lovely but of course it’s now sold out everywhere. Oh well.

TF Emerald Lust is mine too.– such a lovely cool green palette. And Suqqu 103 Kisui– a warm yellow and green palette. I am also waiting on the Viseart Green palette Anastasia Sparrowe teased last winter– although more people are doing greens now. Should also mention that Cle de Peau had an DC-ed 4 pan with soft greens in the most gorgeous formula. I almost got it when it was in stock at Saks but the SA talked me out o it. Then it was DC-ed and I had to track it down. So glad I did.

Probably NARS x Erdem Fleur Fatale. I didn’t want the actual UD x GoT eyeshadow palette, but if UD came out with a palette that was basically the GoT palette renamed and missing Winter is Here (I think that particular brown’s a little too warm for my coloring), I’d buy that.
