What are your top three favorite winter fragrances?

Hard to narrow down to three, but… Tom Ford Amber Absolute, Tom Ford Plum Japaonais, and Maison Margiela Replica By the Fireplace.

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Maison Margiela By the Fireplace (I’m buoyed by just how many others here have mentioned this and I was delighted when my daughter told me about this “new fragrance” she’d like for Xmas, as I’d been wearing for about a year or more); Fresh Cannabis Rose (not sure if it’s still being made) and the number uno – Clinique Aromatics Elixir (that is purely a cool/cold weather scent). An honourable mention goes to Guerlain’s Shalimar.

This is making me want to try by the fireplace! And all the love for Elizabeth and James really makes me wonder why they stopped making perfume. I love nirvana black!

My fave winter scents are:
Serge Lutens musc koublai khan
Frederic Malle musc ravageur
Serge Lutens chergui
