My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Favorite look you wore: I’ve used Lise Watier Mary lipstick a lot this week – it’s a perfect red shade for this time of year. I used a really old MAC Mineralize eyeshadow duo in Illusionary/Burning Ambition (the gold just on the inner corners and the rich golden brown all over the lid with UD Buck in the crease/to blend out). Sephora Cappuccino pencil liner, IT CC Cream and – big shocker – Dior Rosy Glow blush!
Most used product of the week: Dior Rosy Glow blush (honestly, it’s become almost my “only” blush) and Mary lipstick
Any new beauty discoveries: – the “rediscovery” of Illusionary/Burning Ambition and also of MUFE Olive Grey eyeshadow (it’s such an easy colour to wear)
I have just looked up the MUFE Olive Grey eyeshadow and no wonder you love it, it is such a beautiful shade and would work well on a daily basis. Do you have it as a single or in a palette?
I bought it as a single, before the Nudes You Need palette came out but I think the only shadow I already had that reappeared in that palette was Taupe Grey.
I’m loving the Pat McGrath lipsticks! The colors are beautiful and I am impressed with how they are rating! Christine, how do you feel PM’s formula compares with the beloved Guerlain Rouge G’s?
They have completely different textures + finishes… Pat McGrath is a thicker lipstick with less shine and greater opacity! They just feel completely different to me.
Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 20, med brown hair and eyes, oily skin
Favorite look worn : MAC Bamboo in crease and Tempting on eyelid. KVD Mad Max Brown Ink Liner. Trish McEvoy High Volume Mascara in Jet. NARS Madly Blush. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Highlighter in Whisper of Gilt. Burberry 1000 Kisses Lipstick in Devon Sunset
Most used : Trish McEvoy High Volume Mascara. KVD Mad Max Brown Ink Liner. MAC Whisper of Gilt Highlighter. NARS Madly Blush. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. Benefit Precisely My Brow. I cannot wait to use that brow product up. It was a gwp. Not very good imo and loathe the hideously gimmicky packaging. I have my favorite ABH Brow Wiz waiting for me!
New discovieries: how nice MAC press pigments can be!
Skin tone: Light neutral (Estee Lauder Desert Beige)
Favorite look I wore: After a week of playing with the wild colors in my wonderful new Kat Von D Saint & Sinner palette, I came up with a nice neutral look for work: I started with Martyr in the crease, then used Sanctuary to add depth, Chalice on the lid, and Amen on the browbone. Also, Clinique Blushing Blush in Cupid, Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Highlighter 01, and Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Magick. Finished with Dior J’adore eau de parfum, which seemed to go nicely with the lipstick. (Does anyone else match their perfume to their lipstick?)
Most used product: Kat Von D Saint & Sinner palette (it’s really quite versatile)
Beauty discoveries: The temptation of Black Friday makeup sales. As weird as this might seem, I’ve never paid any attention to Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales of any kind in the past. Since this is my first holiday season as a Temptalia fan, I’m only just learning about the joy of holiday sets and sales! I know…as someone who has been in love with makeup for most of my life, that sounds crazy!
I have been trying to buy the Pat McGrath lip in “Sedition” for awhile now and it is always out of stock. I haven’t checked today yet but hope it comes back in stock soon. I love that shade.
Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones.
Favorite look: I used the Too Faced Peach Matte palette and put peach meringue over entire lid, peach butter and peaches and cream in transition and then peach sangria and chocolate dipped in outer V. I added Pur Cosmetics Eye Polish Pure Pigment in cashmere to the inner third of my lid. I used Charlotte Tilbury Night Crimson lipstick and Nars Sin blush.
Most used product of the week: Still my Chosungah foundation with Sin blush by Nars and J One Jelly Pack as primer.
New beauty discoveries: I mentioned the J One Jelly Pack in a previous question this week but have seriously been loving it. Thank you again to Alecto for the review.
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look you worn: Using my Lorac Pro Metals palette and the shades of Graphite, Colbalt and Amber, paired with my new Elizabeth Arden Ceramide lipstick in Cocoa
Most used product of the week: Once again, it is the La Roche Posay Ultra Light SPF 50 as our heatwave has not abated yet, very hot temperatures with high humidy. I am over summer already.
Any new beauty discoveries: That I love the Black Friday sales!
My skin tone/coloring: Light medium, yellow undertones.
Favorite look you worn: Flawless base (crushed up some Meteorite pearls to a fine powder and used them to bake with – wow), peachy nude blush with shimmery bronzer, a subtle golden beige eye, black liner and Colourpop Ambush on lips.
Most used product of the week: Chichi Aphrodite Goddess 54 colour eyeshadow palette – I got it last week and haven’t used anything else!
Any new beauty discoveries: The Ordinary Squalene – I put on their Vitamin C suspension, top that with Neutrogena Hydro gel moisturizer and then layer over the squalene before bed. It’s like a facial while you sleep.
My skin tone/coloring: Light neutralish, green-grey eyes, brown hair
Favorite look you worn: 7 days, 7 looks, so no favourite. I have found most of my eye shadows. (See below)
Most used product of the week: Blush in Fashionista from the local makeup stores own line. I’ve used it every day for more than a month. I moved from my flat to a house and have still not located my little box filled with blushers. This one was in my makeup bag, driving here.
Any new beauty discoveries: Diorskin Forever Perfect Mousse foundation. I used it for the first time today and after 10+ hours it’s still there. It may well be my new favourite. It’s even kept my oily forehead looking OK without any touch ups.
