Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes

Favorite look you’ve worn: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. UD Born to Run Palette: Weekender (base from crease to brow), Riff (crease), Breakaway (brow bone), Big Sky (inner 2/3 of top lid and inner 1/3 ofbottom lid), Radio (outer 1/3 of top lid and outer 2/3 of bottom lid). Looxi Beauty Highlighter in VooDoo (inner corner). NYX Worth the Hype Mascara. CHEEKS — Tarte Exposed. LIPS — NYX Macaron Lippie in PIstachio. FACE — NYX Angel Veil primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; RCMA No Color Powder; Sephora Tranquil (contour); e.l.f. Studio Blush in Gotta Glow (DC’d).

Most used product of the week: My dailies — NYX Angel Veil primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; RCMA No Color Powder; Sephora Tranquil; NYX Worth the Hype Mascara. As far as color cosmetics, I’ve been trying out my newer eye palettes that I didn’t get to use much while my mom was in the hospital.

Any new beauty discoveries: I’m using a deluxe sample of NYX Worth the Hype Mascara, and I have to say I really like it. I’m not allergic to it, and it does a great job of lengthening and separating lashes. Two coats gives me pretty good volume, too.

Skin Tone/Coloring:
Light medium skin tone, green eyes, dark hair with silver

Favorite Look Worn:
Inspired by a recent post from Tammy, I shopped my stash for makeup I never/rarely use and came up with this look. It’s not technically my favorite look of the week because that would have just been a repeat of last week, but this one came out very nice and surprisingly neutral: ABH Modern Renaissance Palette (Golden Ochre as transition, Raw Sienna to darken crease and make a gradiant to Golden Ochre, Buon Fresco across mobile lid, Vermeer in center of lid, Cyprus Umber used sparingly on outer V, Tempera on brow bone); Lancome Teint Idole Foundation in 100 Ivoire N (sample bottle I just picked up); Dermablend Setting Powder; Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Lotus Pink; and MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy. Plus products I use on a regular basis: Clinique Brow Shaper, ABH Brow Wiz, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, and Chanel Stylo Yeux Eyeliner in Charme tightlined into upper lash line..

Most Used Product:
Not counting my everyday usuals, Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Lotus Pink and MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy.

New Beauty Discoveries:
No new discoveries, but several rediscoveries from the above “shop my stash” look: (1) I had stopped using Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Lotus Pink because it’s so powdery and pigmented that I wound up with clown cheeks the first couple times I used it, but I’ve been working on using a lighter hand…and it’s actually really gorgeous and stays on all day. (2) I haven’t worn MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick in a very long time because I have been buying so many new lip products. But as of this week, I have fallen back in love with this this shade whose name still reminds me of an antique stuffed animal, not lingerie, as probably intended. (3) I was very surprised out how nicely the Modern Renaissance look came out. I’m generally not a fan of the texture or color of the eyeshadows in this palette, but I actually got a nice, neutral look out of it. I may start using ABH MR more often now. (As far as the Dermablend Setting Powder goes, it’s very nice. I’ll use it up, but won’t repurchase because I have other favorite powders.)

Favorite look I wore: I did a “classic shannon look” this week, and it reminded me why I adore this look, and wear it so much LOL!

Light base of just spot concealer, powder all over, golden coral MUG romance blush, colourpop nows the time to bronze, becca opal to highlight.

Eyes were colourpop bel air as a transition, coastal scents barista as a crease shade, MUFE DC artist shadow in Celstial earth on outer corner of my mobile lids/lower lash line. MUFE Iced brown on my lids, and MUFE ME512 as a brow bone and inner corner highlight. Basically a warm brown bronze smokey eye!

And for lips I used a red lip liner from BITE and BITE gazpacho!

Mist used product: Versace bright crystal! It’s my signature scent/perfume, and despite not wearing makeup daily right now, I still wear my perfume daily!

My skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde and blue strands.
Favorite look you worn: Either the Good Morning USA look from Wednesday that I posted or Friday: UD Slowburn pressed pigment*, Sephora Vampire Lovers eyeshadow, Christian Louboutin Rouge Louboutin Lash Amplifying Lacquer, NARS Satellite of Love highlighting blush, Kat Von D Underage Red Studded Kiss Creme lipstick.
Most used product of the week: My base products.
Any new beauty discoveries: That Underage Red is a close match for the orangey-red in the Jurassic Park logo (Friday I wore a red tie-dye Jurassic shirt and drew Vampire Lovers in thin lines on top of Slowburn to replicate the tie-dye effect).
*Standard Electric palette disclaimer: the red pigment used in Slowburn/Savage/Jilted/Urban hasn’t been FDA-tested but has been deemed safe in Europe; UD customer service advertises that you shouldn’t tightline with it and people with eye sensitivities shouldn’t use it on the eye area at all.

My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain with pink undertones

Favourite look you worn: Used the Dior 3 Couleurs in Khaki this week – the muted gold on the whole lid, the Olive green on the lower lid and the olive brown in the crease. Matched it with Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick in Ginger. Very pretty winter look.

Most used product of the week: Designer Brands Velvet Matte foundation in porcelain ivory. Very happy with this long lasting foundation for $17.

Any new beauty discoveries: Not really this week.
