My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Most loved product of the week: MAC Red Necessity lipstick
Most used product of the week: Lise Watier Sun Smart “stuff” (it’s sun protection but feels like Hourglass primer and in warm, humid weather, it takes the place of a moisturizer too)
Any new beauty discoveries?: Clinique Plum Pop blush (I’d put it aside for ages and recently put it back into the daily “rotation”)
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Most loved product of the week: TheBalm Balm Desert; Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Scorpio
Most used product of the week: BareMinerals Complexion Rescue in Opal 01; TheBalm Balm Desert
Any new beauty discoveries?: Medusa’s Make-up Lip Paint Remover works great for easily removing liquid lipsticks. I got it in their sub box a couple months ago, but just now got around to trying it.
~nw20. Most loved… liking the sunset palettes. (And those Tarte color splash l/s…got the Miami vice one during the S 20 thing.) seems I get them all out, then work from there, using shades from different ones. Most used: oddly enough, finding the little DTLA has great crease and deepening shades. Kind of has a naked basics vibe, also reminds me a bit of the UD pulp fiction palette…though the shades are not alike…they could be used the same way easily. Also like the blush/highlighter shades in that DTLA travel/mini palette. Discovery: it will be the abh 3 for NLD. As much of a lipstick freak as I am, had to participate. But did not do MAC or lipstick queen, so my virtue is slightly intact!
Hi kjh ! I was wondering what DTLA stands for . Thanks, Robin
Down Town Los Angeles. ColourPop has a DTLA shade for gel/pencil eyes. Both are basically LA outfits.
Thanks for letting me know ! Robin
I had a strange week whereby I was so indecisive on what to buy that I didn’t buy anything. I am intrigued by the new LORAC palettes and the new Marc Jacobs shadow palettes . Today I was too overwhelmed by all the Lipstick Deals . Oh my !
My skin tone/coloring:
Light neutral, black hair with natural gray highlights, green eyes
Most loved product of the week:
Clinique powder blush in Cupid. This color looks so much more natural on me than NARS Orgasm, which I’ve been using for many years.
Most used product of the week:
ABH Waterproof Creme Color…I bought it ages ago, but never used it. I tried tightlining the upper lid with it this week and it works! It’s the only product I’ve ever tried that actually stays on without smudging all day long!
Any new beauty discoveries?
My MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation is actually water-based, which is why it wasn’t working well with my Smashbox primer. I didn’t realize this until a couple days ago. Water-based AND waterproof…seems so unlikely. I also discovered that women turned into crazed animals when MAC gives away free lipstick at Macy’s on National Lipstick Day!
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain with pink undertones
Most loved product of the week: My Besame Tango Red lipstick
Most used product of the week: A toss up between my Sephora It palette and the glorious taupe shades there and my Lorac Pro palette when I wanted some colour.
Any new beauty discoveries?: Not really.
My skin tone/coloring: light, cooler, medium brown hair
Most loved product of the week: OMG NARS Never Say Never Velvet Matte Pencil. It’s my new effortlessly sexy lipstick. It’s just a tiny bit darker than a MLBB, yet somehow so sultry to me? I keep wondering if the rest of the world thinks it’s a bombshell color or not. lol
Most used product of the week: The same stuff as ever: Kevyn Aucoin SSE, MUFE Full Cover Concealer, Becca Pearl liquid, Paula’s Choice CALM moisturizer with SPF. I did add in Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color in Medium, which is outstanding, and MUFE Brow Gel in 35 in the last few weeks. I don’t have to put eyeshadow primer on my eyebrows with my new routine. A dusting of translucent powder to make sure the makeup isn’t sitting directly on moisturizer does the trick. 😀
Any new beauty discoveries?: NARS Never Say Never, Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color, Bumble and Bumble Curl Defining Cream.
Most Loved : MUFE Artist Shadow S814 Light Rosewood has been my go to crease shade this week. Goes great with MAC Patina or MAC Sumptuous Olive
Most Used : Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Festival & Cover Girl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Mauve Twist
New Discoveries : I’d love love to say ABH Subculture but it arrived shattered. Also one of my palettes never arrived though it said 2 were shipped. I ordered one for me and one for my daughter. Needless to say I’m very disappointed with ABH but I’ll see how they rectify this mess!
My skin tone/coloring: Light ,medium neutral .
Most loved product of the week: Essence blush Satin Love, Tom Ford 04 Pink Guilt lip gloss
Most used product of the week: Sunscreen
Any new beauty discoveries?: NYX cosmetics, has finally opened a store in Athens, Greece.
My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool toned (Kat Von D’s Light 44 is my holy grail shade)
Most loved product of the week: Sonia Kashuk’s Dramatically Intensifying Gel Kajal in Black, I wore a number of extremely bold eye looks that required a waterline that would not budge and this product is my friend when it comes to getting that particular goal achieved.
Most used product of the week: Urban Decay Electric Palette, I went to three concerts this week and I went for super bold eye looks for all of them.
Any new beauty discoveries?: Nope, I’m waiting for my first Colourpop order to arrive, it will hopefully be here tomorrow.
