Viseart Petit Pro (01) Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Petit Pro (01)
Viseart Petit Pro (01) Palette ($30.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a miniature-sized, slim palette. This would be a good way to try the Viseart formula without breaking the bank; there is plenty of product in each pan, and each shade is quite pigmented so you’ll be able to get plenty of use out of it. The matte eyeshadows blended and layered well with the denser, more shimmery eyeshadows. The shimmery eyeshadows felt smoother and more cream-like compared to past shimmer finishes from the brand. Overall, it’s a nice palette if you don’t have these types of shades in your arsenal already.

Petit Pro (01)
LELimited Edition. $30.00.
Petit Pro #1
Petit Pro #1 is a very light beige with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was incredibly soft, smooth, and finely-milled, which helped it blend out easily on the skin. There was still substance to it, though, so it applied well to bare skin and had opaque coverage. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading.

Formula Overview
-
The eyeshadow formula is supposed to be "pigment[ed]" with "smooth and even application" that is "long-lasting." The matte shades are typically semi-opaque to opaque but buildable with soft, velvety textures that can sometimes be a little powdery or slightly firm, depending on the shade. I find that the mattes are often best suited to someone who likes control over pigmentation and may prefer to build up color; they regularly perform better in practice than just swatched on the arm as well.
The shimmer shades range from satin to metallic, and the more metallic shades tend to feel creamier to the touch, while the satin ones have a fine pearl to them that looks almost melted on the lid once blended out. Both the mattes and shimmers are blendable and easy to work with. Most of Viseart's eyeshadows wear between seven and nine hours on me.

Petit Pro #2 is a muted, medium brown with warm, olive undertones and a matte finish. It had intense, full coverage with a soft, smooth, and velvety feel to it that didn’t look or act powdery in the pan but remained blendable during application. I noticed fading after eight and a half hours of wear.

Petit Pro #3 is a deep, reddish brown with a semi-matte finish. It had good pigmentation with a soft, blendable consistency that was just a touch dusty in the pan. I didn’t notice issues with fallout during application, though, and it did not appear dry or dusty on the lid. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Petit Pro #4
Petit Pro #4 is a dark brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a satin finish. There was the slightest sheen to it when I worked with it. It had a soft, lightly dusty consistency that felt finely-milled and was fairly easy to blend (just not as easy compared to the other shades in the palette). It had good color payoff and lasted for eight and a half hours on me.

Petit Pro #5
Petit Pro #5 is a light-medium, golden beige with warm undertones and a metallic sheen along with a bit of sparkle. This shade had more noticeable sparkle to it (and it seemed like the largest sparkle size I’ve seen in a Viseart eyeshadow) that did have some fallout when initially applied. I didn’t notice additional fallout while I wore the eyeshadow during the day. It had good pigmentation with a soft, smooth, and denser texture that was easy to work with and applied well to bare skin. The color wore for eight hours on me.

Petit Pro #6 is a bright, medium-dark copper with warm, molten orange undertones and a metallic sheen. The consistency was soft, smooth, and denser without being heavy or thick, so it was easy to pickup product on a brush and apply it to the lid. This might have been the best Viseart eyeshadow I’ve worked with in terms of quality. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading on me.

I want this but they sold out of it already, I hope they’re bringing it back…
They will be restocking!
Mine’s being delivered today. Of course I have all the shades in dupes but I like the idea of having them in a single easy to take palette. I’m really glad it performed well; although since it’s viseart, i assumed it probably would. I love the eye look you created with the shades!
I hope you enjoy the palette, Michele!
I want your palette! QC issues!!! Mine mattes are dusty and dry. They are pigmented but don’t blend well. The pans are in the palette crooked and wonky as well. The shimmers are good – creamy, pigmented, blendable…but I bought the palette mostly for the mattes. I’d rate my palette as a B- or a C. 🙁
I feel like mine is a dud too. They colors ended up looking muddy and faded by the end of the day, even though I used the same primer I always do. I’m giving it one more try with a different primer but I may end up returning. Really disappointed in the quality of the one I got.
I wore mine over the weekend and it applied as badly as it swatched. I’ll be giving mine away…I won’t wear it again.
Lovely!!! And for $30 yay!!
It’s a nice price to try the brand!
This looks like a perfect travel palette for someone like me, who loves these sorts of shades. I only wish that #2 and 4 (I think) weren’t quite so similar (I think you have them as dupes of one another, Christine, and that says a lot about how similar they must be). I SO don’t need more eyeshadow (except for the burgundy shade – that’s a colour family I’ve avoided until quite recently) and – shocking as this sounds – I don’t even WANT more eyeshadows because I am, once again, feeling overwhelmed by all the stuff I have and rarely use. Nevertheless, I am really tempted by this one.
It’s definitely a lighter and darker version of the same type of shade!
Which one would you recommend, this or the theory palette?
Whichever palette you would use more in terms of colors/finishes!
Now this is how a perfect, compact travel palette is done, folks! It even has 2 different shades one could repurpose into eyebrow powder in a pinch! I’m in love with this octet! ?
Yayyyy! 🙂
It’s a perfect little palette for my color preferences, and that’s why I can’t justify it! Just between the Tartist Pro and Pro to Go, I have all of these shades accounted for in a formula I like very much. Money saved, I suppose!
Perfection! 🙂
This is genius! Viseart has put their high quality shadows into a very affordable palette, love the mix of mattes/shimmers, great way to try this brand. I have enough dupes, so will skip, but hoping for more $30 palettes !
I agree — hope they do more!
I’m wearing this today. An A for me, too. The look came together so easily. I love Viseart!
Yay! So glad you’re loving yours, Christina!
The price for this one kind of caught me off guard. Even if the individual shadows are smaller, this is a great way to get to know the brand. Of course, I’ve already gotten to know the brand, but I still want this palette…
Frankly, unless you have a very minimalist collection, there is still plenty product in each pan that it would take a great effort to pan the whole thing!
Under no circumstances could my collection be called minimalist. More like maximalist…
I hope they do these in other color combos. I’d love to try them, but I have a big enough stash to not justify the price point! A cool-toned varient would be perfect for me!
Me too, Carrie! It would be awesome to see other combos.
Lovely, hangs together well for different looks. Duped, but excellent. sure hope they don’t pull a mufe and issue smaller palettes with a lot of self-dupes. This is a true boon to potential consumers.
It’s a pretty pairing!
I’m glad this palette includes a mirror. I’ve been traveling with the theory palette but without a mirror it’s not as versatile as I’d hoped.
The colors and quality are awesome, as expected from Viseart. The pans are tiny and I already have all the colors. It will be a pass for me. It would be a nice buy for someone new to Viseart though!
It is perfect for someone new to the brand for sure!
OHMYGOD Well, I am glad I did a massive destash because I knew if this got high marks, it was coming to mama.
If you review the Persona Identity Palette highly as well, I am so screwed.
Well, easy – I don’t have that palette so no review forthcoming 😉
Never tried Viseart, this would be a great excuse now to try their shadows out. These are really pretty on you Christine.
Thank you, Fashn!
Not really feeling this set of colours but I hope Viseart does more of these little palettes. The packaging looks better than their big palettes too – I got Paris Nudes recently and while the colours are everything I hoped they’d be, the packaging looks really cheap and ugly imo. Hoping to get the Dark Mattes next!
Luckily, the packaging on the regular palettes doesn’t bother me (it’s just functional to me, not necessarily pretty)!
This is a gorgeous, timeless eye look. I am so glad I have this coming tomorrow!!!
Can’t wait for yours to arrive, Anime!
I love ALL of these shades oh my goodness!! I really love #8!!
I think these shades would work well with my medium, reddish brown eyes!!
I don’t think I want to spring for this pallet, but I might make my own with these kinds of shades!!
It would be awesome if they sold singles!
Christine, Do these pans pop out like the Theory palettes? I felt that that was a great feature, as I could put my Minx palette pans into a custom assortment. 😉
Yes!
Half of me is saying I don’t need these colors. The other half is saying what a great way to try the brand.
I agree, a nice way to try this brand. I’ve been meaning to try Viseart for a while now.
I love a pale matte in a palette too!
I knew this would get a great grade and that I would love it, no surprise here. I’m getting as soon its back in stock.
$30 for a credit card-sized palette is still steep… but it’s a good way to try the brand. Plus, who finishes normal sized eyeshadow palettes anyway? I might grab it if it comes back in stock.
This looks lovely! I don’t have many dupes and since I regularly need to travel really light it might be a winner. This would also be a great format for consumers to try more colorful eyeshadows!
It will take a while for European stockists to get it so it gives me time to enjoy the viseart palettes I recently acquired. ?
I’m not sure half these colors would work on me, if they made a more neutral to cool version with the same quality I’d probably buy two. GAH! But it’s so cute and shade #8 is soooo good.
This is a fabulous little palette of the shades that you would want, although I would swap the purples for greens. Anyway, I really like the idea of a smaller palette and all the shades complement each other so well. The mattes are great. Your eye look is stunning Christine.
Hey Christine, do you know if they’ll sell this palette on Sephora’s website?
They will!
I’m so glad this rated well! Mine is on the way.
That is one classy palette and look! Won’t be buying, I have dupes for quite a few shades but I do like it a lot.
I’m buying the Viseart Warm Neutral Mattes palette this week with my birthday gift cards. I can add Viseart Petit Pro platte or KVD Pastel Goth palette to my order. I can dupe these colors with my Viseart palettes. I guess it’s the KVD Pastel if it gets a good rating.
I bought this palette at IMATS L.A. can’t wait to test it out. This would be great for travel. I’m always on the lookout for a compact palette for travel. I also bought a primer that is waxed based since the eyeshadows only last about 3 hrs with primers like too faced and UD. Hope this works with my oily lids.
Gosh, that’s pretty. I already own all of these shades though. But yeah, super pretty.
hmmmm i might just get this. I’ve been wanting to try Viseart eye shadows but their larger palettes are just so pricey! $30 isn’t horribly expensive and I tend to use a lot of small palettes anyway because I tend to travel a lot. I do have some similar shades but not in a small sized palette… it might just be worth it. Maybe for my Birthday 😉
I wish I could justify buying this… I am covered with the Theory Palettes Cashmere and Minx though. I do find it a bit of a bummer that Viseart made this limited edtion. Until now it wasn’t one of those brands.
Oh no! Temptalia approved! My wallet’s crying!!
I can’t justify this since with Minx palette and others I have, this would be redundant. However, I’m impressed that Viseart has so well navigated the step of making their offers more accessible and still staying special. I look forward to their next offer of a mini-palette.
It’s cool that they are trying to please both pro and regular customers!
would you suggest getting this or the theory II minx palette?
I would get whichever palette you’d use more often 🙂
This is so pretty! I love the idea of being able to try out the formula for less money than the main palettes. I hope they bring out a cool toned one.
Hello.does anybody know if this palette pans are same wide and length like minx or cashmere? I would like to know if i can play and change the shades to make my own 8 colours palette.
