Hmmm. So a palette called “Wild Greens” is only 1/3 green shades? And the other options are mostly warm shades? I’m skeptical that this will have the range it needs. I’d prefer warm only or cool only, OR half warm greens/warm companion shades and half cool greens/green companion shades.

I’ve often commented that I’ve longed for a Naked Olives palette. I feel that this would be so more attractive if it was in the Naked format with a hard wearing tin. I really dislike cardboard palettes; however much I look after them they end up looking tatty. If this was a tin palette with all the shades flush against each other ( like the Naked format) I would be tempted.

I completely agree that this would be more attractive to me if it were in the Naked palette format. I’m sure I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it as part of the Naked series but as it is, I will wait to see some “real” swatches and genuine reviews.

Earthy neutrals? The top row is PINKS AND PEACHS. HOW IS THAT EARTHY? Change that to more browns/taupes/greys with more deeper greens that aren’t muted. I’ll be happier.

Excited to see that Urban Decay is stepping away from another Naked palette, but this one still seems to miss the mark. The swatches don’t look great, especially on deeper skin tones. This palette is still overall too light based on the images and definitely not enough green.

Z Avatar

A green palette with five green shades out of twelve and an inordinate amount of corally-orange shades? And two of those greens would look like absolute garbage on my skin tone? Nah, mate, I’m good.

Phoebe Avatar

The packaging for this really confuses me. This entire palette just seems kind of out there. I know for a fact I can dupe this. I also think I have been quality shadows than this. UD’s formula is really either a hit or a miss. In my case, it has usually been a miss.

I like the idea of a palette with a peach/pink/green color scheme and a theme of like succulents and desert scrub, so I’m waiting for swatches and a review before I judge. I have tentative hope lol.

I kind of feel like this is more suited to Wende’s Caliray brand, though I guess since Urban Decay has rebranded itself as Suburban Sanitary it kind of fits?

AJ Avatar

Once upon a time, I would have swooned at the idea of an Urban Decay green palette!

But this is just… *sigh*

As others have already pointed out, there’s more non-green shades than greens! And the greens that are in here are rather light.

Would this palette look good on my pale skin? Probably. Could I dupe it? No doubt.

I feel like so many other brands have already done green-themed palettes so much better — Melt, ColourPop, I think even ND has a little 5-pan olive/khaki palette, Huda did one of those tiny 9 pans in Emerald shades. Revolution or one of those other less-expensive brands at Ulta had a cute avocado palette. Not to mention Sydney Grace has done some nice green single bundles. UD is behind the curve and the quality will probably be disappointing, too.

Helene Avatar

Everything’s already been said, I think.
A pity, but I have lots of greens so I guess I actually don’t need a palette like this one.
What actually amazes me are the swatches, they don’t look great, and its a promo photo. Bad lighting, perhaps.
Poor UD, I remember the happiness I felt when Naked three came, that’s what I want to feel for this brand, but sadly I don’t.

Remember the day when a new palette from UD was met with so much excitement? I remember well those days…from the various Vice and BOS releases to the variety of good Naked palettes and so on…. It’s been such a long time since I’ve felt that; now, I mostly feel sadness and regret that a company that was so excellent has basically shot itself in the foot (even replacing their wonderful single shadows with those of much lower quality generally and far fewer exciting colours). I miss the “old” UD!

Mariella Avatar

Even at 50% off, there’s a lot of newer UD stuff I wouldn’t waste my money on. The last few things I found at Winners seriously marked down are from “old UD” – when stuff was great (Stray Dog shadow, an Afterglow Highlighter…stuff like that).

Lol I’m east coast, so I remember setting my alarm for 3 or 4AM for the latest release like Naked 3 or Vice LTD, knew I was getting an awesome product and couldn’t wait for it. I’m about three releases past trying to give up, these are such easy passes now. How did we get here?

cghipp Avatar

I was excited about this, thinking we were going to see a really green palette with some vividness. I was expecting something bold and really out there, considering the imagery from their promo communications. There’s nothing “wild” about this at all. To me it’s not even interesting. The “wild” moniker would fit if this was a Tarte palette, maybe. For UD this is so borng and tame.

Andrea Avatar

Will you be comparing these green shadows to any other UD ones, like Urb. I loved that color in their one Face Case but never managed to get a single of it.

Anita Avatar

I didn’t like this at all at first. Half the palette would be wasted on me (the reddish ones) and I was sad for what this could have been. However, upon seeing videos with this, I may get this when it goes on sale! I got the ultraviolet half off, essentially for that green inner corner shade and it was worth it! Full price, not getting this, but when it inevitably goes on sale I may snatch this up! Hoping you’ll do a review.
