There are only 3 shades I really want from this palette, but at $34, I can justify it! I’ve wanted Bordello for the longest time, and that’s $20 alone.

Lydia Avatar

I find it funny that they describe the shades as “matte to sparkly” when there’s just one matte and one sparkle, with TEN shimmers. It just seems like they’re trying to suggest variety where there isn’t a lot… Not that Urban Decay’s shimmer shadows aren’t INCREDIBLE, because they are!! But let’s be real: it’s a shimmer palette, for all intents and purposes.

Courtney Avatar

My sentiments exactly. Would be nice to see a palette that combines favourites from numerous collections that can work for both day and night. A veritable smorgasbord if you will.

Mariella Avatar

I’ve already got roughly half the shadows in this palette so for me, it wouldn’t be a wise purchase. I just have to get back on my Maple Leaf draped soap-box, though, to say how annoying it is that companies ignore their Canadian customers with “exclusives” like this. TooFaced keeps sending me emails for products I can’t get either and I’m ***this far*** from sending them an angry email asking them not to try to tempt me with products I can’t get anyway (they don’t deliver to Canada and neither does Ulta! GRRRR).

KJH Avatar

yeah….what about no CT to canada, it’s BRITISH, f’ XXXX sake! why CT is not front + center @ holt renfrew is beyond me, and i’m from Mass! Ulta really ought to expand to NOTB. Ulta’s a great place for some high end, numerous drugstore + 90 bazillion hair products. I used to travel 1 hr to get to one. IDK if this is available @UD.com, but maybe…

Megan Avatar

Ugh, I’m really torn on this one! On the one hand I have all the permanent shades except one, on the other hand it’s a UD palette! As much as I really don’t need this I think I will probably buy it.

KJH Avatar

oh, yeah. i think i only have 4 of the 12 + probably have close to 10 UD palettes, going back to the handheld silver ones! and, personally, there’s no such thing as too much Sin or Mushroom!

tell me, is this one packaged like that dreadfully overdone … was it BOS 4…with the pull out drawer and all the excessive dross that makes me say: DEPOT ME! This one looks like a thickie! BOO! But, yes, I have no Bordello (sing it!) I think I’m on this one (and Basics 2).

Alexis Avatar

I am actually happy that this palette doesn’t really interest me. I already have a few of these shadows. I can’t wait to see Urban Decay’s holiday collection!

Emily Avatar

“From matte to sparkly” HAHA! One matte shade that everyone has…. I’ll pass because I’m sick of glitter bomb ud shadows. They should do a full size matte naked palette. People would be all over that. I know there’s basics but if they did a larger version of those palettes that would be amazing.

I love Urban Decay. They are one of my favorite brands, if not my favorite, ever. However, why do they insist on putting Smog in most of their palettes? I have probably four in my collection, all because it’s repeated so many times. I would have really liked this palette if not for that specific repeat. The price is good for this palette and if that’s your favorite color and you’re new to the brand or just love the shadows, go for it. But, I would suggest looking through your other UD palettes just in case you have most of the colors. It does have a few new shades that are gorgeous so that is a bonus.

Reiland Avatar

Oooooo…might have to get this one!! Lots of shimmer, but what a great price. I’ve been wanting a shade similar to Toxic from the Vice 2 palette, and Freelove might be a decent dupe. Plus I need a dark green and blue, too. Thanks, Christine!

Danielle Avatar

I only have two of these shades already (Sin and Smog in both Ammo and N1) so I’d have more new shades versus lots of re-promotes. I also put Ammo side-by-side to NAKED and the colors are different–in NAKED, Smog and Sin are both slightly darker than in Ammo. Both are pre-reformulation palettes, so I’m curious to see if Smog and Sin have changed again here. Smog also looks weirdly chunky in the promo and more bronze-y than the brown I see in Ammo and N1. MAYBE I’ll buy it, since it’s pretty reasonably priced compared to recent 10- and 12-shade palettes.

Phyrra Avatar

I’m ridiculously excited over this palette because it contains a lot of favorites of mine – Flash, Sin, Mushroom, Freelove, Blackout and Smog. I can’ wait to try indo, Moonshadow and Baked Cowboy. I’m not crazy over Bordello or Lost, but I can deal with that. What especially appeals to me is having this palette for travel, since all the colors are in one place, presuming it’s on par size wise with my customizable palettes that only hold 6 each.

Helene Avatar

Pity it’s ULTA exclusive. ULTA doesn’t ship internationally,, do they. No need to answer, I’ll check myself.
I don’t have many UD shadows, apart from Naked 2 and 3 I think I have a superglittery green one that’s really pretty, and has a lot of fall out, so this would be a palette I’d really like and have use for. Ah, well, there are so many palettes and eyeshadows I guess I’l survive not getting this one 🙂

Nurse Ratchet Avatar

I will have to see/swatch this in person before buying, to decide if a whole box of shimmer is worth it. I know shimmer is UD’s thang (outside the naked basics) but there are so many wo/men out there like me with hooded/monolid eyes or more mature/crepey eyelid skin that need a palette with matte transition and crease shades as well as the impressive in the box shimmers and glitters. I appreciate that we all migrate to shiny things, but the first thing I look for in a palette is if there are enough matte shades to help me complete a whole look without having to supplement said palette.

Candice Avatar

It sucks that it’s an Ulta exclusive which means I probably won’t be able to get my hands on it 🙁 oh well! It’s colors I’m sure I have in all my other Urban Decay Palettes!

Sylirael Avatar

Hm… Shades I already have: 4 (Sin, Mushroom, Smog and Blackout)

Shades I want: pretty much everything else but especially Indo and Bordello…

Well, it’s certainly cheaper than getting the shades individually (especially for something like Indo, where I am unlikely to uss it up), but something about the packaging is kind of ‘meh’ for me. I’d need to see it in a non-promo photo, as it liiks kind of unnecessarily bulky.

I hope this isn’t just an Ulta exclusive though – that it will be available on the main site!

Elizabeth Avatar

I love Urban Decay, hands down. I have almost every eyeshadow they make, and all of the discontinued colors, palettes, and LE. I like this palette as well, but the only colors I don’t have are the Indo, Baked Cowboy, and Lost shadows, and I just can’t see buying this for the three eye shadows I don’t have. I can only hope that Indo, Baked Cowboy, and Lost make it to singles. I don’t have any more room to store my makeup, (hangs head in shame) and I have more than I could ever use in this lifetime!
