Urban Decay Mrs. Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as a “deep blood red.” It’s a rich, vibrant, medium-dark red with subtle, cool undertones and a soft shine. Urban Decay Gash (LE, $22.00) is more muted, cooler-toned. MAC Just a Bite (LE, $16.00) is more matte. NARS Mascate (P, $26.00) is more matte. MAC Such Flare (LE, $16.00) is more matte, darker. MAC Runaway Red (LE, $16.00) is more matte. MAC Dark Deed (LE, $16.00) is darker, less red. Guerlain Gwen (LE, $51.00) is cooler-toned, lighter. Guerlain Garconne (P, $51.00) is brighter. Giorgio Armani The Red (400) (P, $32.00) is lighter. Dior Diorling (LE, $36.00) is more matte. Chanel Dragon (DC, $32.00) is glossier, shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The Revolution Lipstick formula is supposed to be richly pigmented, hydrating, and have a “creamy shine.” Mrs. Mia Wallace was intensely pigmented with mostly opaque color coverage in a single swipe. It was lightly creamy, but it had noticeably less slip compared to other shades in the range. I felt like it was less glossy in finish, though it still had a noticeable shine, so it wasn’t matte. The formula was lightly hydrating and comfortable to wear–long-wearing (seven hours plus a very strong stain) but never clingy or tacky.

Thanks, Laarni! Honestly, it’s such a pain to photograph more than few photos with it down, lol! I can’t *see* myself when I’m taking the photos, so it’s kind of a cross our fingers and hope at least one of the five shots works (I do get up and check, lol). I also can’t leave it down while taking product photos (it’s too long and sweeps onto the photography table and creates shadows, haha). I love having long hair, but I can only have it down for short periods of time!

Love this! I’m getting it for sure as it was the only product I was excited about from the collection. I may have too many neutral palettes to warrant getting the palette, but I can never have too many red lipsticks!

This is the standout of the collection for me. 🙂 I haven’t bought anything from the reformulated shade line, so this might be my plunge into UD’s lipstick line.

I’m so happy this got a good grade and review. I want it so much. I don’t care that I have loads of reds, this looks so special. And then there’s the name 🙂 I also don’t have any UD lipsticks, if I don’t count the one in penform that came with the Theodora palette.
I hope this comes to an online shop closeby.
Your hair is gorgeous, by the way!

I’m heartbroken about this – I love the colour but I think it’s far too bright and red compared to the shade in the movie poster. I was really hoping for something closer, although maybe still a bit more updated.

I think I love it? I really want a bold red with a definite warm/golden undertone (not orange, like Lady Danger and the like, because I already have those). But, I’m so fair that if a red has any blue tones in it, it will turn cool on me. I haven’t gotten this formula yet because their reds didn’t seem unique, but this one might be. Will it be on sephora.com? Or Urban’s own site?

It is such a beautiful Red.. not the regular blue tones or orangey one.. I guess I dont have any such red in my collection yet.. I should add it to my wishlist!! 🙂

Do share if you come across some drugstore dupe of the shade.. 🙂

I know how this compares to Gash (thank you)! But how would you say it compares to F-Bomb? I know F-Bomb goes warmer; however, cool tones tend to go pink/magenta on me (which is why I avoided Gash).

Love this color! I don’t have much in the way of red lipsticks. 69 from UD is all. It looks so creamy and not dull. Do you think it would look good on fair cooler toned skin? (Sorry, I’m not familiar with the skin tone abbreviations)

Violet Avatar

Looks really beautiful!!
I have the UD F-bomb. What’s F-bomb compared to Mrs. Mia Wallace? and compared to Milani Red Label?
I’m thinking of buy Mrs. Mia Wallace but I don’t want to have too many similar colors 🙂

Thanks! I do prefer a darker red in fall and winter.
I just noticed that my local sephora has the pulp fiction collection, I’m gonna go and check it out tomorrow~~

I was wondering, how would this compare to UD’s Revolution Lipstick in Shame? Because on the website, it describes Mrs. Mia Wallace as a “deep blood red” but by these pictures it looks like Shame is closer to that description while this one is a much lighter and warmer/yellow red

Ok so I’m a little late on this but I just wanted to say how different the colour has swatches on you than on me. I was actually really disappointed when I tried it thinking it was going to be a beautiful bright red but instead what I got was a warm berry tone! The entire day, it wore like a pink/red, not as cool toned but nevertheless super bright. I don’t get what’s wrong- maybe I got a dodgy version but even when I got some of the lipstick on a tissue it was all berry pink and no red whatsoever!
