Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse Swatches
Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a new lipstick formula that’s supposed to be “weightless, buildable, [and] waterproof.” There are eight shades, and you’ll find swatches of all the shades here…
I’ve been waiting for reviews of these!
Easy pass. These look dry and like they emphasize every little line. Thanks for the swatches, money saved!
The bright reds look pretty, but the rest look super dry. I may give these a shot once they end up in the Sale section 4 weeks from now.
I… don’t hate these? Curious to see if they’re long lasting.
These look very dry.
I agree with several others’ comments — these look dry. Suggests they’ll dry out in the pan quickly.
Sort of like Maybelline’s Color Tattoo but for lips?
Amplify is stunning. Most of the rest *do not* flatter your lips (especially Halo …[shudder]…).
Unless I topped one of these off with gloss, I get the feeling that they would just look too dry and would emphasize texture. Sooo, I am much more inclined to get one to use as a blush instead!
Very smart!
Not at all what I expected with “Mousse” in the name! They look very dry.
Interesting. I like some of the colors, but they look drying.
The texture is very reminiscent of the nars Ederm powder palette or nyx cosmetics powder puff or cle cosmetics lip powders or the numerous Korean beauty lip products out. I enjoy the concept of these and am always intrigued on how they will perform. I can’t wait to see your review on these!!
I wonder if these are meant to function as a stain. If so, I’m thinking they might be long wearing w/ a texture you could improve on, by letting it dry first and then adding chapstick/balm….? I’ve had combos that have worked well that way in the past.
Most of them look chunky, dry and settle into lip lines. No thank you!
The colors are pretty but the application looks a little clumpy our the lips. Especially like Amplify, Echo, Noise, and Wavelength.
Might pick one up, depending on the review and wear-time.
I don’t really like these on several levels – first of all, I guess you would have to use a lip brush to apply them – so not convenient or hygienic in a handbag; secondly, they really don’t look that good on – emphasising lip lines etc. And thirdly, I have a feeling they would dry up pretty quickly before you could use it all up.
They don’t look as bad as I thought they would! Boom is rough the shimmer in it is emphasizing dryness & texture.
Not something I could wear as they are presented. I would have to add a balm under or over or both depending on how dry and how much they emphasized my lip lines. On a happy note, they probably won’t travel outside my lip lines into my upper lip lines, LOL!
At first glance I thought these were eyeshadows! How are you supposed to apply them…with a lip brush or fingers? I like the color Amplify but agree with other comments that they look drying on the lips.
This seems more like for MUAs than for someone like me who prefers a traditional bullet lipstick. Correct me if I’m wrong but on UD’s instagram page the promo pic also showed these being used on the cheeks, right?
Halo looks like the worst performer
Dry looking yes, but if they are in fact waterproof, I’d be happy to top them with a light gloss or balm.
I have a job where I have a glass to my mouth all the time and I love stains because I’m not leaving goopy lip prints behind.
I racked my brain about what could that job be…. stumped except that you taste test? Wines?
@TravelingBlush: I know- I was thinking the same thing! Possibly an actor/actress in a play where they need to drink all the time?
@DVa, have pity on us! What is your mystery job?
I was curious about this new formula but they look very dry…
There are some beautiful fall shades here, and I like the muted, matte effect that they give. NOT loving that they’d need to be applied with a finger, though. I’ll wait for reviews on these 🙂
There is an applicator included.
at first i was gonna say the packaging / format of this lipstick doesnt seem like the best idea cuz i think most people wanna apply straight from a bullet or tube, but honestly the finish on these is so pretty. its so unique. it makes your lips look soft and kissable honestly. looking forward to the review.
