Top 5 Shades of Black for Halloween

I shared my favorite oranges yesterday for Halloween, so of course, the other side of the coin is rich, inky blacks! Here are some of my favorites:

  1. Illamasqua Creator — a deep, dark black with silver flecks and sparkle with a glossy, high-shine finish
  2. Chanel Mirifique — a sparkling, creamy, deep dark black
  3. Urban Decay Perversion — a cult favorite; deep, dark, inky matte black for the lash line
  4. Milani Pitch Black — a deep, dark black eyeshadow with a matte finish for under $10
  5. Sugarpill Stella — a deep, dark black loose eyeshadow with teal, violet, pink, and emerald green micro-shimmer

What are your favorite black-hued beauty products?

Dark Dare Extra Dimension Eye Shadow from MAC is the best black eyeshadow I’ve ever owned, since you can easily make it matte or sparkling or sheer or really dense depending on how you apply it. Plus it’s a vey dark black that doesn’t turn blue when you sheer it out. It was limited edition, so I hope they bring it back one day!

Coincidentally, Mirifique and Perversion are two products I’ve been humming and haaing about for months. I think I should just take the plunge and get them – especially since the Chanel Holiday collection isn’t that impressive (to me) and I need a Chanel fix.

Hi! Have you tried Makeup Geek’s Corrupt Eyeshadow? From what I’ve heard, it would be an A+ versus the A- this Milani one got and it’s only $5.99! 🙂

I want everything on this list! Including Peversion && I have a couple lol. It’s just such a great liner! I’ll have to try Milani’s eyeshadows. Their makeup is such great quality!

Makeup Geek Corrupt is the blackest shadow I have ever used, and also my favorite.

As far as nail polish goes, I have a lot of favorites but if I had to narrow it down, they would be:
Cirque Dark Horse
a-england Bridal Veil
Orly Goth

Has anyone ever had ‘allergy’ issues–excessive watery eyes–from Urban Decays eyeliners? I’ve never had this problem w/any makeup ever–until UD Perversion liner. I’m curious as 2 why this happens–also disgusted b/c it’s 1 of the most amazing blacks 4 the waterline! NARS has an amazing black in their LargerThanLife collection 2 BUT after a few months it completely dries up 2 where it’s not even useable! (& yes I always made sure the cap was on)
So that leaves me still without a HG black! 🙁 Any suggestions? THX! 🙂

Karma,
I thought I was the only one who couldn’t wear Perversion. Every other 24/7 pencils works just fine. But Perversion… it burns my eyes and makes them water. My eyes are sore for hours after using it, even if I only keep it on for a minute. And I never use it on the water line; only above my top lashes… 🙁
