Too Faced Your Love is King Love Flush Blush ($26.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “plummy rose.” It’s a slightly muted, medium-dark pinky-plum with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. NARS Mata Hari (P, $30.00) is darker. MAC Mocha (P, $21.00) is warmer. NYX Desert Rose (P, $5.00) is darker, brighter, warmer. Milani Bella Rosa (11) (P, $7.99) is darker, brighter, more pigmented. Illamasqua Peaked (P, $26.00) is more pigmented, cooler, glossier. Milani Tea Rose (08) (LE, $7.99) is less shimmery, brighter. Tarte Fearless (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, cooler. IT Cosmetics Matte Sweet Apple (P, $24.00) is warmer. NARS 413 BLKR (P, $30.00) is darker, more pigmented. MAC Sunset Beach (LE, $32.00) is less pigmented, cooler. MAC Peaches & Cream (LE, $21.00) is lighter, cooler. Makeup Geek Love Affair (P, $9.99) is brighter. Tarte Irreplaceable (LE, $26.00) is more muted. LORAC Underrated (LE, ) is lighter. Clinique Rosy Pop (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, cooler. First 15 dupes listed, see more: See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

There’s a touch of sheen that translates to more of a natural finish on the skin, but it isn’t shimmery or even what I’d call luminous. It had good pigmentation with a soft but firmer press, and this was the one shade that I felt could have been easier to blend. It could look a little uneven if I applied too heavily initially and had to do a lot of blending, so it was a shade that I’d recommend applying in sheerer layers to build up the coverage rather than taking it down by blending/buffing. It wore well for almost ten hours on me, which made it one of the longer-lasting shades in the bunch but not as long as the brand claims.

Formula Summary | Too Faced Love Flush Blush ($26.00 for 0.21 oz.) is supposed to be an exceptionally long-wearing (16 hours), pigmented, and “buttery soft” blush. It’s a nice blush, but unsurprisingly, it doesn’t last 16 hours. Some shades last eight hours, others last a little closer to ten hours–it is nice wear for powder blush generally, but you’ll find that many shades’ ratings took a hit because of the 16-hour wear claim. The blush has a soft texture that’s just firm enough not to kick up a lot of excess powder, but it’s not too firm where you can’t get good color payoff when you use it. Pigmentation varied from shade to shade and ranged from semi-opaque to totally opaque, while the blush tended to blend well on the skin with a satin to luminous finish. The compacts may be a little hard to open if you have larger fingers/hands (like me), and sometimes I felt like the pattern made it harder to get good pigmentation out of the blush if I used a more feathery brush.

I’m trying to decide between this, How Deep is Your Love? and Becca’s Hyacinth. Different shades, I know, but I’m moving to Japan next week and customs says max 24 cosmetics items, so I have to choose strategically.

Good luck deciding. I can’t imagine having to pick only 24 cosmetic items ( is this just makeup or an all-encompassing 24 items including skincare, haircare etc?) I wish you the absolute best in Japan

Oh, what a cheery, bright and happy blush! But sadly, the blending issues would prevent me from getting this one. I wonder if ColourPop Fruit Stand comes close?

I have wretched with the flu so the fever may have me muddled but is it similar to Bella Bamba? That was the first thing I thought when I saw your swatch.
