I love Kat Von D’s makeup I really think it is under appreciated! Her eye shadows palettes are awesome and long wearing. I cannot wait to try these new shadows!

Zoe Avatar

Hope these are good.
The studded lipstick formula was mixed quality and some of KVD’s eyeshadows are tragic.
That green lipstick!!!

Oooh, I’m eyeing that teal and chartreuse shadow –at $21 each, they better perform as well as MUFE. And that Piaf lipstick sounds unique -a rich chocolate souffle with iridescent purple sparkle….very intriguing !

I was in sephora today and saw these. the eyeshadows are absolutely stunning and amazing, so extremely buttery smooth and the pigmentation will blow your mind! Glad they are permanent i need all of them. I wish I could attach a picture with my comment because I took a few swatches.

Jane Avatar

I just can’t get excited about those lipsticks. I bought several of the better-performing shades from the last release and even the “good” ones were terrible. I like her liquid lipsticks, but the Studded Kiss line is a total miss for me.

Christina D. Avatar

I just saw these in person at Sephora. The colors are pretty but waaay too glittery for me. Thankfully (for my wallet) it’s a pass.

EvilsStepQueen Avatar

You have no idea how excited I am to see more vivid and wild colors in makeup!! Whether just a hint of an accent or full on bold, I dig it so much. Can’t wait, so excited!

Even though I am NO fan of Miss KVD, and have been successfully banning her product line because of what she represents ( white supremacist, Nazism, etc. ), Piaf is soooo tempting me if it reviews well!

Alice Avatar

I think you’re thinking of Jesse James’ OTHER ex, Michelle McGee. She was linked to claims of white supremacy and looks very similar to Kat.

Nancy T Avatar

Sadly, both women have been linked to that garbage, as has Jesse James. All 3 have denied any affiliation, but isn’t that usually the case with those involved with that?

Meg Avatar

I’m not saying you are wrong, however, Kat Von D is a very proud Latina, and I’m not really sure white supremacist groups would associate with a Latina.

Nancy T Avatar

She was born in Mexico, true, but her parents were both from Argentina, her mother of Spanish descent, her father of German and Italian descent. I myself am half Mexican on my father’s side, Irish and Italian on my mother’s. I mention this because the WS’s and such generally accept lighter “Spanish” looking Latinos. True story, 6 yrs. ago I moved into an apartment building that unbeknownst to me, was crawling with WS’s & Nazi’s! When I realized this, I felt extremely worried, BUT they “accepted” my downstairs neighbors because they were light Mexicans, referring to them and me as “Spanish”, not Mexican or Latino though. Kat is super fair; “passing for white”. It all depends on how they view one of us.

Rachel R. Avatar

Kat is?! I know Jesse James is, and his ex Michelle McGee is. I hope Kat isn’t into that BS. I thought she didn’t know about James: She isn’t the brightest bulb in the pack IMO, but James hid it from Sandra Bullock for years. I feel terrible if Kat supports something so disgusting, because I’ve bought her products. My paternal grandmothers family were German Jews and my maternal Grandmother’s family were Polish; they came to America to escape the Nazis. I guess I’ve got some research to do on Kat. 🙁

Nancy T Avatar

All 3 have been linked to it. KVD having sent an autographed pic of herself filled with hate-speech to a Jewish man that she was having some sort of argument with on the tv show set.

Rachel R. Avatar

I thought the photo to Ami turned out to be a forgery. Of course, that could have been PR damage control. Well, that’s just horrible.

Nancy T Avatar

After researching it, I had read from multiple sources that TLC was 99% sure the autographed pic was real, but refused to act upon it because it wasn’t 100% proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Yeah, it’s horrible alright. And disgusting.

Rachel R. Avatar

Yeah, that’s what I came up with after more Googling. This and the Revlon CEO scandal: I hate to judge people without more evidence, but I also don’t want to back hatred like this, even unintentionally. 🙁 🙁 🙁

Cat Avatar

I was hoping KVD would release some single shadows as they perform so well for me. Now, I’m hoping she’ll release singles in various finishes! =) Raw Power, an iridescent mahogany, looks like a gorgeous burgundy color from the photo. Maybe I’ll have an opportunity to slip into Sephora tonight to swatch it!

Cat Avatar

Raw Power IS gorgeous! It’s so smooth, buttery, and pigmented! Part of me wants to buy it right away, but another part is telling me to wait for the holiday palettes this year. You know… just in case KVD decides to release a palette that includes a few of the colors I’m interested in. ♫♪You may say I’m a dreamer…♪♫

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

Thank you Kelly, I thought it was me. No problem with colors, the packaging drove me nuts. I don’t have thin problem with less expensive brands but love Nant of Kat’s colors with a few exceptions. I’m certain that’s normal. Would it be hard to ad a twist cover?

Rachel R. Avatar

OMG, Kat is killing me with these. First, I hope the formulas on the lipsticks are better than the first batch, which was so inconsistent. Piaf sounds really unique and intriguing. Second, please, please, please let all those beautiful eye shadow be wonderful!

Kat Avatar

I saw the eyeshadows today in Sephora and the pans looked pretty big! Like more near the size of the MUFE ones than MAC ones. Hope they perform, there’s some nice shades, and I’ve been impressed with her more metallic finish eyeshadows in the past (I have an old palette of hers from years ago, Ludwig, that’s gorgeous).

Erica Avatar

Doce eyeshadow is the only one not available online or in stores so far! 🙁 I bought Synergy, Thrasher, Iggy, Raw Power and Thunderstruck and I don’t regret it! The pans are big so it’ll last me so long 🙂 alot of the JCP Sephora are getting their tester items (new liquid lipstick colors and studded kiss colors) in so if you ask them if they have it, they’ll bring it out so you can play with them 🙂

Rachel R. Avatar

Some of the shades work really well for me: Poe, L.U.V., Wonderchilde, Lullabye, and Sexer work really well for me (they may be a tad dry, but I’ve had much, much worse). I’ve swatched the bright reds and liked them (they’re on my “get” list). Slayer and some of the others are horrible, but certainly not all of them IMHO.

Nicole Avatar

Part of me is thinking these are going to be awesome KVD hasn’t done too much lately with her line. I’m hoping she got to working hard on both these and the extensions to the liquid lipsticks will perform just as consumers want or darn close. She has the mainstream , in store market covered in a lot of these shades now that OCC is out of Sephora. This is going to fly off shelves. Hoorah, it’s permanent!
