I just can’t use fragrance type stuff on my face. I’m probably in the minority but I see no point in stressing my face like that.
You are NOT in the minority – as much as I like the smell of peach, it is absolutely useless in cosmetic or face care products as far as I am concerned (and possibly irritating or harmful to some people to boot!)
You’re not in the minority Kitty. Same here 🙂
Actually, prob most of the ‘critical’ comments will be about the unnecessary fragrance. No need, possible harm….probable long range ill effects, if no immediate sensitivity/reaction/allergy. I get this from the marketing p.o.v., but from the skincare p.o.v., it’s positively irresponsible.
I have not purchased any of scented too faced products for that reason.
Good grief. Not again with the TF stinky parade of allergen infused crap. Ugh! The sad part about all of this is that this is but one issue with these. The other has been the lackluster quality, adding insult to injury (literally, in my case!)
“? What I’m not gonna buy-eye-eye!?
Love it Nancy! I’m a Kimberly Clark fan too?
KC= massive lol. Tell it like it is, baby. Best vids to watch, when mood is down. Not to mention being named after the Kleenex company. Clever as hell, and a great way to pop your acquisition bubble.
I know it says exclusive to Sephora “ON” August 31, does that mean Ulta will carry it a week later? Can’t wait to see your swatches/feedback. You are amazing, wouldn’t buy anything before you reviewed it. Also, would love to find a dupe for Givenchy’s Healthy Glow & Body Bronzing Powder, if you can find one, $65, rather steep. Very unique feel. Thanks
I’ve only seen Too Faced list Sephora right now.
It will be available on toofaced.com on September 1st too. You can see it under New Collections.
The Givenchy bronzer has to be the best and prettiest bronzer released this season. I bought one, and between the size, quality and color, it is worth the 65.00. The worst one this season, IMO, were the 2 from Lancome.
As crappy as TooFaced has been, I want the matte eye shadow palette. But this is your last chance, TooFaced!
I have the Sweet Peach palette and while I do love the shades, the smell annoys me when I open it up. It’s a useless gimmick I can do without.
And why a big peach release for fall? Seems like odd timing to me.
Interested in the cheek products, the palette actually looks like I can use all the colors but I HATE the packaging. The font and all looks so 90s…I rather prefer the cutesy.
Not sure why but to my eye the packaging actually looks more grown up. Maybe the lack of hearts and cardboard?
I’m skipping this entire Peach line. The packaging is cute but my skin can’t take fragrance, and I almost gagged while sniffing the Sweet Peach palette in store. The scent was so strong, smells like cheap perfume, with a fake artificial peach scent, ugh. No thanks
I would like to check out the blushes, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why they need to smell like artificial peaches.
Or why anyone would ask for peach scented foundation. LOL!
IKR??? The peach blushes are so cute, but the scent just ruins it for me, ugh
Agreed, I loathe the artificial peach smell. Totally ruins all of the products for me.
I am not one for fragrances because they usually leave me sneezing with eyes and nose running. After some consultation with an associate at Sephora, I decided to try the Sweet Peach palette based on her recommendation. I completely gagged when I smelled the thing so I asked her to do an eye look on me, and then left to run some errands. The odor only lasted as long as it took to get the stuff on my eyes; it does not linger. So I purchased it and have been enjoying it. I’ll probably get the new matte palette because the original SP has too many shimmers and I’m interested in getting some coordinating matte shadows for the days when I want to avoid glitter. That said, I will not be trying anything else because the other products would end up too close to my nostrils for comfort…
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the Sweet Peach shadow palette!
It all certainly looks cute. I’ll wait for reviews. I don’t think I’ll need the palette, though.
The eye palette colors look much better than the original peach palette, but I doubt I’ll indulge; TooF has let me down with anything I’ve bought from them in the last year or so. The lipsticks do look adorable though, I love the peaches on the bullets. I wonder if some of the changes in packaging are the Estee Lauder influence.
I think all of the collection looks really nice??I love peachy tones and I have combination skin with a super oily t-zone so the complexion products sound very interesting to me also.I can’t wait to see swatches and hear some reviews.I have the Too Faced blush palette from last year and I really like it so I can’t wait to see the blushes in action!I like the packaging and those little peaches imprinted onto the lipsticks are adorable.
So everything was explicitly described as permanent for sure, except for the eyeshadow palette that will, no doubt, be the most wanted item in their fall line.
Okay, Too Faced. Hope they aren’t playing PR games to overhype a palette that will sell well in any case.
Yuck! I’ve loved some of their products in the past (particularly blushes, but they can do nice colors in lipstick and eyeshadow at times, too), and I’m tempted by the ‘melting’ idea–though it’s probably something that already exists re-defined to sound new–but peach scent makes me gag. Why on earth do companies alienated entire swaths of customers with a single scent? At least when Clarins makes a buttload of different scents in their lip oil (or Lancome, with same), you can pick and choose what won’t make you feel ill to be near…
Dumb choice, product designers…
Seriously, I avoided Estee Lauder lipsticks and glosses for years because the fig scent made me nauseous. Luckily the Pure Color Envy line is scent free.
OMG I thought I was the only one. Great colors, but the scent killed them for me.
Nope. Just not going to bite. Tired of limited release with the company hoping to spark a frenzy while providing every YouTuber with product knowing they will hype it while the product isn’t available to us mere mortals. Meanwhile people are hoping for a restock. Totally marketing hype with nothing I don’t already have in some form. Just not going to buy anything this Fall/Holiday. I have plenty and I pretty much look exactly the same every day.
I find so irritating the PR around TF! They have so many mix reviews and what do they do? They invite few YTbers for a trip… I don’t get it.. were they pay to say good stuff about it or was it really good? I’m interested but I JUST DON’T TRUST the reviews!
TF are really milking the peach theme, aren’t they? Not my thing, though.
I love cream-to-powder blushes so I’m interested in trying these ones, hopefully they are a good formula.
OMG definitely excited for the lipsticks and foundation/base products
I bought the original SP palette and like it, smell and all, but I’m not buying the same shades again just to get more mattes.
So, I’m the gal who doesn’t mind all the candied violet scented Guerlain stuff but Too Faced it seems, is totally trying to turn back the clock about “fragrance free”. It started with all the Chocolate Bar stuff (and I don’t have any problems with those but I recognize that many, many people do and I just don’t like that those people don’t seem to matter). They’re just continuing with all the peach-scented stuff, piling on more and more products that are out of the question for many and I am just refusing to buy into this very backward product development.
This is first TF collection in over a year that I am looking forward to purchasing.
I think I am the only person who likes the scents of the products I own. While I don’t own any of the peach products, I have smelled them in the stores. I wouldn’t mind the scent. I love the rose scent on Chanel products and I do own some of those. The first thing I do when I open a MAC lipstick is smell it. : )
Mmmm…MAC lipstick smell! I love it. But the peach smell in the TF Sweet Peach palette? Not so much. Thank goodness it goes away once applied. I do like the colors a lot.
I think the colors are pretty too!
Ditto on the MAC lipstick smell…I am compelled to open at least one gloss or lipstick tester and sniff it anytime I’m near the counter. I think the only scent in makeup that ever bothered me was the heavy scent in the Guerlain Cils d’Enfer mascara…having fragrance that close to my eyes made them water badly (which sucked, because that mascara is awesome!).
Thank you for the heads up on the Guerlain mascara scent!
You’re not the only one! I really enjoy all my scented products. Love getting a nice whiff of peach, vanilla, chocolate, etc when using a product. Of course, I don’t have problems with scent allergies. I do have a severe allergy to a common food additive. And it annoys me when I cant eat something because of it and I feel like companies shouldn’t be using it in anything so I can enjoy whatever I want. So I understand how the scent thing bugs people.
Same stuff repackaged. Companies have to stop doing this and get creative again. This is getting ridiculous. It also looks like makeup for kids, that awful scent and all. Sorry, TF. I’m beyond not interested.
Oh, Lord.
“LOVE IS A BATTERFIELD”
Oh, LORD.
Battlefield.
I don’t know…but I’m not sure peach tinted powders, primers etc. ARE universal.
I mean…not everybody has peach tones?
I do not. I look like death in peach tones, even pink tones with a hint of peach. It may be OK for some in foundations, but as color cosmetics? No.
I’ve been wanting the sweet peach palette. Now I definitely want to wait to see how this matte palette performs because I might want this one instead if the quality is up there. I could use more mattes in my life.
Not going to lie all of it looks promising but this is Too Faced, the champion of over promise and under deliver. I learned my lesson last year when I picked up White Chocolate Chip, I’ll wait for your review Christine.
They look cute.
But, I was hoping that the gimmicky scents would have stopped after Too Faced being bought by Estée Lauder.
I guess not…..
Maybe those heavily scented products sell well – I don’t know?
So did they just not announce how many colors the foundation will come in, or are they really only releasing one shade?
12! I kept reading it as 14 shades and not 14-hours so I just listed the description.
I like the idea of mattes… BUT LAY OFF THE SCENT!
Ditto.
I am so excited for this!!!
I will take peach over DKNY apple-palooza anyday:)
I like the packaging and some of the colors..I haven’t sniffed any peach products from them though.
Are you serious??? They’re really milking the peach theme for all they can get, huh? I love the blush shades and some of the lipsticks, but I have a form of sensory processing disorder and I get so sick at smells. I can barely walk into an Ulta–how am I, and other scent-sensitive consumers, meant to wear these things on our faces for hours on end? Frustrates me beyond belief.
Awwww man that palette looks nice and I’ll be praying that too faced gets their act together in regards to their formula. Don’t tease us with gorgeous looking products and shades only to end up with something that can’t perform, plsss be good ??
Looking forward to seeing how the lippies perform, but I’m not interested in anymore peach (or chocolate!) palettes. 🙁
I don’t think I need much of this collection . I have the Sweet Peach Palette and use it quite regularly. I don’t see any use for an all matte palette of any kind. I kind of want the Peach Blur powder. I don’t know if it will work and I probably won’t get it in the end but it is intriguing. I will say at least with Too Faced their products live up to their name. Unlike UD naming a collection Heat but all it manages to deliver is a dim flicker. When TF gives you peach, you GET PEACH!!
I actually like stenchy makeup and these all look terribly cute. I am going to wait for reviews/swatches, but I will probably end up with the matte palette and one of the blushes. I imagine this line will be better quality than their holiday releases.
Well I’m already gagging from the smell! The lipsticks crack me up a bit – the bullet is shaped like Charlotte Tilbury and the case looks like a peach themed rip-off of Tacha’s casing design. Wholly unoriginal, but unsurprising nonetheless.
I thought the exact same thing about looking like Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks as soon as I saw them. I was hoping someone else noticed it too.
My first (and only) TF eyeshadow palette was the Matte Chocolate Chip one. Aside from the fact that half of the eyeshadows from the palette I ordered back when it was launched are very hard to work with, the fragrance is so irritant for me that my eyes are watering in seconds after applying the eyeshadows. And this irritation or sensitivity does not go away as long as the eyeshadows remain on my eyes. I let the lid open for weeks; however, the next time I used the palette, the same irritation occurred. It’s the first time that I developed such fragrance sensitivity. I don’t understand the added fragrance to any makeup products, especially in the TF ones. There are already enough chemicals in a makeup product; we don’t need hundreds more hidden under a single word: “fragrance”. Just my 2 cents :).
I love this collection. I haven’t purchased anything by TF except for one melted lip, and two blushes, which I love. This collection looks gorgeous and I want it all. As far as the lipsticks go, it seems like they are hedging their bets, with lighter summer colors, and then full on winter colors. I like them all, and would have purchased more lipsticks in the summer family had it been released in April I think I will only buy one dark lipstick for Fall! Can’t wait to read your reviews!
don’t the blushes remind you of benefit’s majorette?
Sold! I’m probably going to buy some this collection.
I am so intrigued by this collection!!! Everything looks so pretty!
I am not interested in any of the lip, eye, or cheek products, but am very interested in the face products – mists, foundation, primer, etc. I have oily skin and am of a fair complexion so I hope they have a color light enough that lasts on my skin. I like that they claim 14 hour wear for the foundation, not 24 hour wear. I am waiting to see reviews/swatches, see what people think and if they are great I might try to snag a couple of items (after my no buy ending on Oct 31st) during the Nov sale at Sephora. 🙂
I don’t need this palette, but it looks like a nice basic warm matte palette assuming it performs well, which is not a given with TF. Having said that, I can’t stand peach scents (except on peaches), or any scents really (though I can tolerate a basic vanilla if I have no choice), so I wouldn’t come anywhere near this thing even if I didn’t have a single dupe in my stash.
I was only looking at the eyeshadow palette. After looking at the rest, I must admit to being curious about the blushes. And those lipsticks have some startlingly pale colors that I have to assume are translucent, as well as few very interesting colors. But still, if it’s all peach-scented, it’s a no-go.
“as well as **a** few very interesting colors” … that was supposed to be a positive sentence.
Actually, I take it back … the eyeshadow palette looks like it might be as close to truly neutral as I’ve seen a non-beige palette get in a very long time, neither warm nor cool.
Fragrance near my eyes is a big NOPE for me, but I’ll be looking forward to hearing about possible dupes. Also the timing of this collection seems odd — something like a Pumpkin Spice collection would’ve been much more interesting for fall (and made sales skyrocket I imagine).
Will this eventually be available on HSN?
This collection is so cute!! I hope it’s actually good quality and not just cute packaging and gimmicks
Will the new collection of peaches (2017) and cream by too faced be permanent or is it limited edition ?
I want want want alllll of it from the primer to the setting spray in the collection. Love the theme, smell, color choices, and packaging. Loooooove it. (Wanted to offer a different P.O.V. than has become prevelant here bemoaning the products). Put it all in my cart on the Sephora app and it was just less than $300 for the whole collection!! Yikes!
September 8
Yesterday I tried a little of the peach blur powder in Sephora.
When I first put it on, it looked too colorful and I decided to pass. By the time I got back to work and looked in a mirror, the color appeared to have faded and it did look like it had smoothed out the areas I had put it on enough to convince me to want to give it a try. I didn’t notice any peach fragrance but I only put on a little bit of it, but I’m willing to see how it goes. I’m going to go pick one up today. I can always return it if I don’t like it, but that blurring effect has me hooked.
Everyone must just have a difference of opinion, because I absolutely love the way this line smells & it’s one of my fave parts about wearing it! I use both the original peach blush & highlighter trio palette every day I wear makeup & have hit pan on all of them & repurchased. My nose is super sensitive to strong smells too – like I’m the type that buys a candle but can’t light it because it’s too strong lolz so far, I love the peach collection & I have had zero skin reactions to the fragrance. But my skin by nature is not super sensitive & I don’t have any known allergies (knock on wood). I really want to try the foundation, just waiting to make it out of town to a Sephora to swatch colors, as my store locally is inside jc penneys (whoever thought that was a good idea?) and isn’t going to carry it.
