Too Faced Metallic Dream House Melted Metal Liquified Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.)
is a bright, fuchsia pink with violet micro-shimmer and cool, blue undertones. It had fairly good pigmentation, but again, there’s some translucency there–your natural lip color may peek through slightly. It goes on evenly overall, but sometimes you can see “lines” from where you’ve pressed your lips together. It’s slightly metallic in person, but it’s more of a fine pearly shimmer effect. On me, this shade wore well for five hours and wore away evenly without gathering into lip lines. Tom Ford Beauty John (LE, $32.00) is darker, warmer. Kat Von D Lullabye (P, $21.00) is darker, matte. Kat Von D Sexer (P, $21.00) is matte. MAC Pink Poodle (By Request) (LE, $15.00) is sheerer. Too Faced Lollipop (P, $22.00) is slightly cooler-toned. Marc Jacobs Beauty Boom Boom (210) (P, $28.00) is darker. MAC Pink Poodle (DC, $16.00) is darker. MAC Midnight Mambo (LE, $22.00) is less glossy. Milani Flashy (P, $7.49) is lighter. MAC Show Orchid (P, $16.00) is less glossy. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Yaoi (P, $18.00) is more metallic. Get comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Too Faced Metallic Macaron Melted Metal Liquified Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is a bold, brightened, medium fuchsia-pink with warm undertones and lighter pink and gold metallic shimmer. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that applied well overall, though the texture has enough slip to it that if you press your lips together, sometimes you’ll see slight “lines.” The color wore well for five hours on me and was neither hydrating nor drying. Tom Ford Beauty Giacomo (LE, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker. Tom Ford Beauty Michael (LE, $32.00) is less glossy. MAC Red Blazer (LE, $15.00) is darker. YSL Grenade Pepite (No. 15) (P, $32.00) is less shimmery. Chanel Le Baiser (P, $34.00) is warmer, more matte. MAC Fusion Pink (P, $16.00) is darker, more matte. Guerlain Grenade (LE, $51.00) is more muted, warmer, less glossy. Get comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Such happy colors! I don’t what it is but they just cheered me up! I spy a little twinkle in your eye too Christine:)
Also I guess frosty lipsticks are back now? I remember being in my teens in the late nineties and owning a frosty pink that I loved so much!

Ever since these first came out, I’d pretty much planned on buying Metallic Dream House, but now that I see it, it actually looks a little on the pale side, for me!
I may go for Jelly, instead.
I, too, think it’s kind of funny that what seems like five minutes ago, matte lips were All That, and now I’m seeing metallics.
I’m soo confuuuused … ! :/

I must say I love the metallic versions. I didn’t expect to AT ALL, I thought it was going to be too reminiscent of bad metallic lips from the 80s and 90s. I’ll most likely pick up Macaron and the light coral/nude mix from the last review.

Macaron was the second shade from this formula I was interested in.

Random question, but does anyone else have an issue with the crimped end leaking? My full size Melted Candy does, but it’s not a big enough whole to be noticeable a first glance. Not the first time with this style of packaging either, my occ mini liptars were over crimped in the mix shade set and now the sides have cracked.
