Too Faced Happy Face Peach Frost Melting Powder Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches

Happy Face
Too Faced Happy Face Peach Frost Melting Powder Highlighter ($30.00 for 0.44 oz.) is a light, yellowed gold with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that was buildable to medium coverage on the skin.
The formula is supposed to be a “cream-to-powder highlighter” that has a “buildable champagne peach radiance” that is best applied with “fingers or Kabuki brush.” The texture felt smooth to the touch, and initially, there was a bit of slip to the surface, but after I used it once, the remaining amount exposed was drier, almost powdery, but there was still some velvetiness that gave it a more cream-like feel than powder-like feel.
The sheen from this was noticeable but still on the more subtle side, which may appeal to some but anyone who wants a more moderate or intense highlight would likely want to look elsewhere. I did not like this formula with a brush, as the brush did not pick up much product and did not seem to distribute the product well onto the face–it was as if the product dried on my brush. Using fingertips, I was able to get more product to transfer onto my skin. It blended out nicely but was more challenging to blend out over foundation (liquid) as it tended to lift and cling to the foundation in places. On me, it lasted for six and a half hours on me.

Lifting and clinging? BOOOOOO.
I know! 🙁
I was hoping this one would be good because too faced had bad luck with the new highlighters lately.
The products in the pan look so plastic I thought there was a clear dome over the powders. lol
I suspect the formula does have a lot of waxs/oils in it, unlike a powder they get that finish from pressing. 🙁
ME TOO!! I thought they had a plastic protector initially!
Not so happy face on this one!
Haha!
Real bummber about that formula! It looks like a solid launch from the colour range!
I agree 🙁
Lifting of foundation is no bueno! Hopefully, some of these will perform better than this and Spiced Peach.
Right, Nancy? It’s terrible when that happens!
I swatched it in store and also found it very disappointing. I do like subtle highlight but here there’s barely any sheen.
It’s super subtle!
Oh my – Too Faced- you really can’t get it right.
I had higher hopes for these!
It’s called Happy Face, but between the problematic formula and fragrance, I’m more sad face 🙁
LOL!
When I looked at the little picture of the swatch, you couldn’t even see it!! Crazy!
