A Rosy Pink for a Perfect Transition from Winter to Spring

Too Faced Cinnamon Kiss La Creme Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a “spiced brown.” It’s a subdued, rosy pink with a natural sheen. There’s none of the brown that you’d expect to see in “spiced brown,” but I would say that there’s a neutral element, like a beige or brown, that darkens and mutes the rosy color overall. Guerlain Ballade is redder, less pink, shimmery. Revlon Pink Truffle is less pink and more translucent. Bobbi Brown Nude Rose is lighter. MAC Glamourdaze is redder. MAC Offshoot is less pink, darker.

Cinnamon Kiss is opaque with very little product needed for full coverage. The consistency of the lipstick is smooth, creamy, and it glides on easily without pulling or tugging on the lips during application. This particular shade wore for five hours, which is really fantastic for smoething with as much slip as La Creme has. It wasn’t too thick or too thin, so it was comfortable to wear but didn’t bunch up or create lines if I pressed my lips together (I’ve had this happen with a few other shades from the formula). It was nicely hydrating during wear, and the hydration extended beyond just the wear of the lipstick.

What foundation and setting powder are you wearing? Your skin looks like perfection! This entire look complements you like no other!

That’s such a pretty color.

I want to be able to wear a red so badly and I think this color would be sort of that “in between” shade before going totally red.

Everyone hates my lipstick. I love it. I’m sticking with it until the last of my hoard is gone. lol.

I have this but for some reason I’m not thrilled with how it looks on me. That’s my biggest complaint about the La Creme line – there are so few colors I’d actually wear and of the ones I would, some just don’t work for me when I try them on.

I have the same feeling toward them. They’re either shades I can dupe or ones I’m not interested in enough to buy. In general, the La Cremes always look slightly warm to my eye, which surprises me because the brand’s eyeshadows tend to lean cooler-toned.

This is such a pretty shade, but it’s not one I would wear anymore. I actually had a *very* similar shade from L’Oreal (Cameo) many, many years ago, that I wore all the time. I’ve just personally “outgrown” the more natural shades, and prefer the more extreme ends of the spectrum. That said, this might be nice for P.T.A. meetings, conferences, etc.

It looks super similar to Revlon’s (discontinued) Colorburst Rosy Nude. Is it a dupe? Worth getting if I have a good supply of Rosy Nude?

Just a heads up ladies, Maybelline’s Summer Sunset is a full on perfect color dupe. I have both and they really are exactly the same. Not as creamy and with less slip than Cinnamon Kiss, but far longer lasting. They’re both just fantastic though, and I’ve been layering them, maybelline for longevity and Too Faced for that lovely slip. Too Faced is totally worth the price, but its nice to have options!

I purchased Naked Dolly and I’m about to return it because of how uneven application is after I purse my lips and how badly it settles into my few lip lines within minutes of application. I’m debating between either getting my money back or exchanging it for another shade… I’m leaning towards Spice Spice Baby – did you occur any issues with the product settling into lip lines with that particular shade?

The color is pretty, but honestly I can’t get over your face in this post. You look stunning. I don’t know what foundation you’re wearing, but it makes your skin look amazing.

I just purchased this lipstick today. I’m so in love with it too! It really perks up my coloring in my face. I think it’s a great shade for everyone. It’s definitely worth the price. It’s lightweight pigmented yet very moisurizing!

Oooh, I’m definitely going to look for this! The color is lovely but what attracts me most is the finish – it reminds me of my beloved (and extinct) MAC Slimshines!
